Product Description
If you love your car, you should ask yourself, "Is it really safe in the garage?"
Dust, debris, tree sap, UV exposure and other environmental pollutants can scratch, fade and damage your finish, diminishing the value of your vehicle. Meanwhile, cloth or canvas covers can allow condensation to accumulate, contributing to mold mildew and moisture damage.
That’s why you need to keep your car covered, even when it’s indoors.
Designed for indoor use, the Duro Car Cover is perfect for the garage and occasional outdoor protection during the fall, all at a budget friendly price.
Constructed from three layers of spun-bond polypropylene and including ultrasonically welded seams, the Duro Car Cover is designed to be breathable while it protects your vehicle. This improves airflow to reduce condensation and helps prevent mold and mildew.
An elasticized hem and built in grommets secures your cover all-year round. Using a cable to secure your cover using our sewn-in grommets also adds an extra level of theft protection.
Includes a storage bag, antenna patch.
This car cover fits cars 200" L x 60" W x 51" H. Fits vehicles like: Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Thunderbird, Honda Civic.

Out comes the cover. Unfortunately the only cover I had was Budge's indoor cover (pulled off another convertible taking up the garage.) This lasted much longer than I anticipated making it through the winter and half the summer before it disintegrated under the UV rays.
I went to Amazon to replace it and was delighted by the sizing tool which informed me that I had been using the wrong size cover. I used the tool to select the correct size cover rated for outdoor use. It has been on the car for 4 months and hasn't been bothered by wind or rain (including the storm that took out power for 1.2million homes) or the hood support (hood removed with the engine) or antenna. It still looks and feels brand new when I pull it back to work on the car.
Before I purchased the cover I read several negative reviews. I tried drilling down and couldn't find whether the reviewers had purchased the Duro (outdoor) cover or the indoor. Since the performance of their covers was almost exactly like my indoor cover drafted into outdoor service I guessed they had purchased the (cheaper) indoor cover.
I couldn't be more pleased. After the car is roadworthy again I will probably continue to use the cover to protect the paint and convertible top ($2K and $500 respectively.) Well worth the $40 or so invested.
Update - Jan. 2013 - So we couldn't figure out why I wasn't healing from my earlier back surgery. It turns out I'd managed to break a vertebrae. So - more surgery on me and more car sitting and waiting for a rebuild. The $40 car cover is standing up better than my back which at this point is getting to be quite an expensive item.
Halfway through the winter and the top is doing great. The elastic has loosened a little. When I noticed this I looked for and found some re-enforced eyelets so I could clip a bungee on and keep on moving. There is still enough elasticity to allow for easily pulling the front or the rear up to access the trunk or whatever.
Even with the loosening of the elastic I'm sticking with five stars because for the price this thing is outperforming any reasonable expectations. I'll try to remember to do another update when we hit the year mark. Hopefully by then we'll be back to a running car.
Update - July 2013 - Not to sound like a broken record but we found another broken bone so the cover is continuing to be forced into service. The cover is finally starting to show some wear. I moved the car recently and being lazy didn't remove the cover. It slipped under one of the wheels and developed a couple of tears (at the bumper and the antenna.) When it was new this same maneuver didn't induce tears. The good news is that while it has worn to the point that it will tear if stressed it is still holding together. I figure I can get another winter out of it before replacement. That will make for a solid 2 year life expectancy. Given how this one has lasted I will definitely be replacing it with the same cover.
Update - Nov 2014 - The tears I introduced in 2013 have increased to the point that I have broken down and replaced the cover. I decided to upgrade to a higher quality cover from the same manufacturer. The thing that surprised me was what good shape my old torn cover is in. I was intending to put the new one on and throw the scraps of the old away. When I took the old on off I was surprised by how good it felt. I honestly think I could repair the tears and go on using this cover. I stuck in the back of the garage to keep as a spare. - For any interested the continued need for the cover does mean that more broken hardware has had to come out of my back. The broken screw count is up to three. I'm losing faith in titanium.
If the new cover proves more durable than this one I'll not it here as well as starting a new review for that product.
I'll be using this cover exclusively indoors on a car kept in storage every winter. You could use it outdoors overnight in a pinch but i wouldn't recommend it for regular outdoor use. It will keep the dust off and provide some minimal protection from scratches and dings. If your car is going to be kept in a high-traffic area (kids, bicycles, etc.) i'd recommend a heavier duty cover with more bulk to it.
It was harder to put this cover on my freshly-waxed car than my old Wolf Evolution 3 cover was. Because it's relatively light it slides around a lot. It would be very difficult to do outdoors in the wind. Just hook the front end over your license plate and work your way back.
My initial impression is that this is a good value for the price i paid ($45).

I purchase this item to protect a car from the HOT SUN and occasional RAIN in California. The car is rarely used, so I make it a point to periodically start it up. After just 6 months, I noticed blue powder all over the car, and the car cover began to tear with the slightest of movement.
I completely removed the car cover to clean the blue powder from the car and dust off the car cover, it was an unbelievable amount of suffocating blue powder blowing all over my clothes and face, it was literally a cloud of blue dust and had to stop to prevent inhaling that stuff.
The car cover continue tearing like a paper napkin as I was dusting it off the way you would dust off camping blankets. in case you are wondering how that is done, you grab the blanket from the edges with both hands wide apart and dust it off.
California hasn't seen much rain in several years, oddly enough we got a heavy down pour Tuesday September 15, 2015, and the cover literally started to dissolve like a news paper left in the rain.
I wish to have video or pics of the actual event this morning, but I don't. In my defense, it was raining and Californians are not keen on rain.
Heed my advice, spend your money on something that will last more than 6 months.
My next step is to deal with the manufacture 5 year warranty. Will keep you posted on my experience with the warranty
I like these covers for the price, I've used one on my Armada for years and they last about a year in the Arizona sun which is decent for the price, but again, I would subtract at least a foot from the actual length of this cover to avoid this issue if your car or truck is on the edge of the max length. I waited too long to open the box and use the cover so can't return, but that's on me.
