It came in its own box and looks like photos. It came with the big parts in the main box, small parts came in small box and assembly took 20 minutes. Tools required that don’t come with are: screwdriver, hammer and a drill. It can be done alone with one person but can be hard, and you gotta get creative when hammering. The instructions were simple end easy to follow, they were in Spanish and English. The pictures helped the most though. My favorite part about this is the floor board. It comes with an attachment that clips onto the bottom so if the baby is 1 or 2, and can’t pedal this themselves, you simply push them. It does have a handle at the top to put which is convenient. It also has 2 cup holders in the back. I had 3 extra parts that came in case one went missing or if they ended up not shipping the part. The horn is quite adorable and isn’t to loud, sounds more like a dog toy though, and the key part is clever! I like the key is attached so it won’t get lost. The wheels move exactly as they should, and it has an area where there’s a gas port and you can open and shut it. The thing that, for me, is a negative and should be fixed is the door lock. You screw in one screw and you should be able to lock or unlock it but it’s plastic and doesn’t extend far enough to be able to lock. Can’t really expect it to stay poked and it was hard to put the lock on because there was no pre-drilled hole. All in all this is definitely worth $54.

Installation the first time (the original Cozy Coupe) was a pain in the butt because the directions are simply just pictures. I think I'm a fairly technical person but still, I had to glance back and forth between the part and the picture to make sure I was doing it right. Overall it took me about an hour to get it all together. The second time I installed it, I was done in 30 minutes... stickers and all. Just be sure to have a hammer and screwdriver and you're set.
The age says the limit is 18 months to 5 years old but we gave these cars as a present when both my nephews hit 12 months old. I didn't see any problems with the car at all. Both my nephews adore it (they scream and laugh when in the car and you push them around).
The nice thing about the cozy coupe is that it "kind of" acts like a stroller. You can put your kid in it and just push him around (there's a handle on top) and there are two drink holders near the back. The bottom cover of the car is removable so that your child (when he gets older) can walk around by himself similar to Fred Flinstone. The steering wheel turns (but doesn't provide direction), the horn beeps, and the key in the ignition makes a clicky sound.
Construction of the actual car is made of metal parts and hard durable plastic.
This is highly recommended and is one of the few toys that can last for several years.
One of the best features of this car is the gas cap. It's functional and allows you to 'pump gas' with a separately purchased toy. My son is only 18 months and he enjoys gassing up the cruiser as much as he enjoys being pushed around in it.
We bought the red and yellow Cozy tikes in 2013 and now with our second kid turning one (our oldest was 1 in 2013) they fought over the car so we bought this "Police Car" so each would have one and we could decrease the fighting (a bit).
I cannot tell any difference between the Cozy Tikes we bought in 2013 and the Police car we bought now (in terms of size). On top of that, I think that the instructions for assembling the police car are better than the instructions back in 2013...but I am not really sure if it is just that my expectations are vastly different. When we bought the red an yellow in 2013 I thought I'd be able to assemble it in 25 mins tops, but instead it took about an 1 hr and I recall being frustrated.
Assembling the police car probably took 35 - 45 mins, but I knew that there are some tedious parts (hammering on the wheel bearings I think is the worst part) but having built one before I knew it wasn't as simple as building legos.
So in the end, the size of this tike is the same as the 2013 model we bought and all of our kids fit in them fine (we have a 3yr old that is in the 90 percentile for height). Assembly takes time (I did it while kids were asleep) but the instructions are really great and straight forward.
