Great Shock Mount - SCREW ISSUE WORRIERS READ THIS!
This shock mount looks much better in person than in the pictures you see online. All of the online pictures have it looking very flat, but in reality it is very nice looking. For everyone that is worried about the screw issue I have 2 things to say:1) Do you have a yeti pro? If you do I'm thinking you won't have an issue with this, as all of the reviews I've seen that mention the pro have been good reviews. Mine fit GREAT, AND I have the pro version, which I got from amazon last week. ALSO amazon has a fast and free return / replacement policy so no worries. Granted RMAing something is troublesome sure, but just keep the box it came in. Easy2) is your yeti regular version new? (IE within the last few weeks?) I think this issue is only for people with older yeti mics. Mine fit like a glove, and I have the pro version which I just got from amazon last week. I'm thinking that there was a bad batch of regular yetis that got past QA sometime in the past, and those are the people having issues. As for the people that say this shock mount doesn't stay in place, I'd say you probably again, got an older version. As I've seen several reviews on YouTube and they had different hing barrings on different reviews. Mine thankfully is the newest design with an all metal construction and metal "teeth" which help lock the shock mount firmly in place. Also there were people saying good luck holding a mic horizontally with this mount... All I have to say is look at the image attached. As mine is even angled up and its fine. Just for reference I'm using a RODE PSA1 for my arm... Great arm and great sturdy design. So there you go, it does what it's supposed to do, and the mounting system is perfectly fine. Anyone who says otherwise should try and get their mics exchanged through blue for another one. Since Blue has already stated publicly that they are aware of the screw issue and that they are exchanging yeti mics to fix the issue. (Which leads me to believe its the mic itself)
