Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author K. Bromberg comes a second-chance, rockstar romance that will stick with you long after you've heard the last word....

Vince Jennings has had two loves in his life. Music and Bristol Matthews.

His guitar skills catapult him to stardom with the most popular rock band on earth.

But it takes walking away from Bristol—his first love—to make this happen.

Despite the groupies, the success, the fun, life under the bright glare of fame and fortune isn’t enough. Deep, dark pain threatens to derail all he’s worked for, until fate brings her back into his life.

Bristol Matthews has found and lost love earlier in life than most, but she is determined to keep moving forward and not look backwards. Even though she is reminded of him every day.

Now her long-held dream of becoming a lawyer is finally within her grasp. Until her boss assigns her a new client. The famous rock star Vince Jennings.

A man who can never know her truth.

A man who can see through her as if he still knows her. The man who still loves her.

Something is different when their paths cross this time. Both are holding tightly to secrets that threaten to tear them apart. Isn’t that always how their story has gone? Will this time around be different, or no matter how true their love, is it just not meant to be?

This book was….

This story is full of angst, broken MMC who deals with his pain in unhealthy ways and the FMC has a huge secret that is kept for over half of the book. I love this author and this book was good but it’s definitely frustrating at times and sad. Stella Hunter is a fav of mine and Ryan West is good but his voice just didn’t seem to fit with a 30 year old rock star… he sounded older to me. I would recommend but you need to be in the mood for this angsty love story.

Super Great Rockstar Romance

These narrators, Stella & Ryan are fabulous at bringing Vince and Bristol to life. I loved this book so much and am very glad I chose to listen as well as read it. The inflections in their voices ads so much depth to every scene.

Love, Love, Loved This! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

K. Bromberg blows me away with this amazing second chance, single mom, rockstar romance, and it has left quite the impact on me because I am still feeling it hours later. The story not only captivated my attention the entire time, but it tugged on my heartstrings too and tugged hard. Vince Jennings and Bristol Matthews were each other’s everything at one time. She helped him get thru high school and escape from his abusive father. But when he could not take his father’s beat downs anymore, he had to leave, and knowing Bristol was too good for him, he had to leaver her too. He was an inspiring musician, and she had plans to get her law degree and work in the entertainment industry. She thought they would do this together and despite it breaking her heart, she understood why he needed to leave. Several years later the band he was in was on its way to make it big, so she went to one of their concerts is shows and sought him out. He was glad to see her, but he was a bit of a jerk asking her why and what she wanted, it seemed like everyone wanted a piece of him. Bristol was genuine and not like the others, and they spent the night together, a steamy night. But he left her before she woke because that is what he does best and she went home and back to her life. But that night was a night to remember, and a life changer for her. She doesn’t see Vince for another seven years, he is a new client for the firm she works for while she finishes school. Vince and his band made it big, but his life has imploded and he needs to get it back on track. He had not expected to she her again and his feelings for her never died. But Vince needs to get to the root of his anger and why he has self worth issues. And Bristol is holding back something from him too, something that has the potential to destroy him and any chance of a future they may have had. These two were each other’s one and only, and it took them eleven years to find one another again and for Vince to open his eyes and his heart, and to allow himself to be loved. A whole lot of awesomeness helped with that, and forgiveness too. This is a love story to be remembered, and I loved how it all played out. The plotting and writing are fantastic and so is the dialogue. K. Bromberg, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  And for the amazing narration, K. Bromberg cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Ryan West and Stella Hunter are superbly talented narrator and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. West rocked it as Vince, playing the angsty rockstar perfectly as well, bringing out his other sides, including his vulnerabilities and insecurities. Hunter’s take on Bristol was perfection, grasping all sides of her personality, from her determination to loving and caring side. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, including Jagger, the scene stealer. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another outstanding listen.

Rekindled Love

✔️Second Chance
✔️High School sweethearts
✔️Rock Star

Vince left Bristol at her window her senior year. Vince needed to get away from his abusive father and try to make his dreams come true.
Vince became a musician, and one night when Bristol was 21, she took a chance and went to his concert. They decided to have one night, and when Bristol woke he was gone again.

Fast forward, Bristol was working for a PR firm, who just acquired a new client.. yes Vince.

He tries to rekindle things, but Bristol has a secret, a secret she has kept since after that last one night.

Vince’s dad is the one that leaked the news about Vince having a son.

This was a great rekindle story.

The narrators Ryan West and Stella Hunter did a wonderful job.

Damn, that was sweet!!!

So this is outside of my usual preferred genre, as I like to stick to romantasy instead of contemporary or romcom. That said, I am a musician and who isn’t attracted to rockstars? I heard little bits of Stella narrating it here and there on tiktok and I was intrigued! I did not know about the child involved, I usually don’t read novels that involve children, but it was done SO well and so sweetly that I cried twice. The plot isn’t as involved as I usually prefer, which I suppose is kind of par for the course with this subset of the genre (as it’s solely romance focused), but I was invested the entire time! Vince was hot and complex, and Bristol was an interesting fmc! Some of the dirty talk was a bit clunky to me, but all the rest of the spice made up for it. Overall, a fun and quick read. Oh and the narrators were great!

Highly enjoyable

Well written with interesting dynamics and scenarios between the two main characters. Bristol is a beautiful, strong relatable young woman, who captured my heart in sisterhood. She’s good, kind and brave. I really liked her. Vince, through all of his challenges, is a fantastic book bf. The characters were thoroughly flushed out and satisfying. The female narrator was exceptional.

So much love!

A marathon worthy read, I just couldn't stop! K Bromberg spun a tale of heartache, second chances, and love. Bristol and Vince had their struggles, but one thing shone true-their love for each other. But man did it take some time for them to actually realize it was in fact ok for them to be together. And WOW was their chemistry combustible! Below are some quick thoughts with some very subtle spoilers but stop reading now if you don't want to know details.

Jagger is in fact AWESOME and I was definitely ready for his awesomeness.
Who would have thought that sugar was so tattoo-worthy?

A million stars!

From the very first page, this story sucked me in and completely broke me.

I listened to the audio of this one and luckily I was in the car for hours, because I didn't want to stop listening. I kept thinking Vince and Bristol have got to figure this out! And then my heart would break again and again for these two.

K. Bromberg destroyed me with the Driven series. I absolutely loved Colton and he will forever be one of my favorites. Vince reminded me a lot of Colton in so many ways and maybe that's why I fell hard for him, too. My heart breaks for him and what he does in his life because he thinks he doesn't deserve love. And in the process, breaks Bristol again and again.

This story is indeed, Sweet Regret. I would give it all the stars. I absolutely loved it.

The narrators held me captive through this story and I wanted to listen straight through. Loved it!
