I was born in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.

At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm! That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty-eight cows purchased from the Humane Society because they had been abused, was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of a breeding schedule, feeding schedule and the never ending haying in the summer and trying to stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin, we had thirty-six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.

I am now married with four children and three grandchildren. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way. At every gas station, restaurant and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing and offering advice on which roads in the area are better than others and great rides others have been on if we are interested.

I come from a family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother and two of my sons and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud. Proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.

"Can two broken people make a whole?"

Gah! Sid and Grace crush me, they both see themselves as broken and damaged, when actually they are real and maybe a little dinted, but so much stronger than they think! I love that they find love for a second time, a strong, soul deep love that calms the chaos and smooths over the chips and cracks that life has inflicted. It is acceptance, hope and excitement, and it is everything these two lovely people deserve. They are awesome characters to begin this new series, a series with older heroes who find their second chance with women who are not only their equal, but who understand them and accept them... PTSD too! Which brings us to the gorgeous Chiefy, I defy anyone to avoid falling in love with the gorgeous puppy, who may have lost "her human", but that doesn't stop her helping others and showing love to those who need it most as they fight their way back to living rather than just existing. A humbling but beautiful journey and I look forward to many more.

I’m loving this new series set in Blossom Springs!

Oh and these characters are just amazing! I applaud PJ Fiala for giving these military heroes a new purpose in life. As a veteran, I can relate. Thank you

Sid and Grace’s chemistry begins with just a tiny spark, but be ready because it catches quickly! These two are my new favorite characters!!! And just wait until you meet Chiefy!

So many memorable scenes! Brilliantly written story!!! I can’t wait to see what happens next in Blossom Springs!

Sid came to small town of Blossom Springs to see Army buddies Quinn and Jace who both lived there. He had been there for a week when he stopped in the only garage in town, aptly named Garage because there was a broken down antique Harley Davidson Knucklehead outside...in talking to garage owner, was offered the bike if he could get it running...while using garage and Coop's tools...Grace was also new to town, having lived there a few months after buying and fixing up two beach bungalows, she wanted to live in one and rent out the other for herself and her dog Chiefy...the German Shephard was trained to help PTSD sufferers get through their episode...with Grace seeing Sid after some random fireworks went off in the vicinity. After recovering from his episode, Sid and Grace struck up a conversation as both around same age, been divorced and were former military...but Sid's mechanical abilities brought him to the notice of a band of bikers who were causing problems in the area, and as he declined working exclusively for them, had one of bikers watching the garage to try to intimidate...and that put Grace on their radar also...but would the town be able to rid themselves of these unwelcome guests before the tourist season??? I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy...

Sid and Grace.
A new series by PJ. I enjoyed their story I thought it was a cute, light refreshing insta-love story. Grace moved to town to get away from an abusive ex and ended up buying two bungalows that she will refurbish and rent out. She meets Sid while she was taking her emotional support dog out for a walk passing by a garage they find and help him as firecrackers going off set Sid into a PTSD episode. Sid is in town visiting his buddies that he served with trying to figure out his next move in life and sees a broken down motorcycle at the towns garage. The owner tells him he can have it if he could get it to run. They spend time together and there is an instant connection. A MC also start showing up and causing chaos and start harassing Sid because he refused to be their mechanic. Things start to unravel as the owner of the garage offers to sell it to Sid which now he can work, stay and be near his friends and have a relationship with Grace. Also they have to deal with the MC harassing not only them but other business owners. I also love that his one friend only hires vets to work at his construction company.
Look forward to more from this series.

I received a copy from StoryOrgin and read it through kindle documents.

This first story in the series introduces the readers to three friends who met while in the military service.
One of them is Sid Hoffman, who after his last mission in Afghanistan developed PTSD. He’s in Blossom Springs visiting his friends and maybe make it his home.
Grace Murphy, former military, along with her dog, also recently moved to town and is rehabbing a couple of bungalows.
When she sees a man in the midst of a PTSD attack, she and her dog Chiefy help him. From that moment on , the attraction is evident .
But just when things seem to be working out for both of them, outsiders come to town causing trouble.
Can the town, Grace and Sid not only survive the attacks but also work together to get rid of these men?
This was a touching story about a couple over 50 finding love and getting a second chance in life. It’s also a reminder that many brave troops return with not only physical but also psychological issues. As individuals and a nation we need to do more for to help them.
Looking forward to the rest of the stories in the series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Servicemen of Blossom Springs #1

Blossom Springs, Florida
Sid Hoffman is retired from the military and suffers from PTSD after his tour in Afghanistan which played a part in his divorce. He has moved to Blossom Springs where two of his military buddies live and is trying to find a place he fits into.
When several bikers approach him at the Garage while he's working on a bike it sets off an attack which is seen by Grace.

Grace Murphy left an abusive marriage, moved to Blossom Springs, bought a couple bungalows to fix up and rent out. She lost her brother from PTSD so she knows what an attack looks like and goes to help Sid along with her dog, Chiefy.

Both Sid and Grace are just trying to find a place to fit in and find their way along with their dreams. The bikers continue to cause trouble in the town and for Grace and Sid both. They end up spending time together and grow closer while fighting back against the bikers.
Could they really find happiness with each other?

Great kickoff to a new series.

Sid was recently discharged from the service and went to Blossom Spring to see friends and decide what he wanted to do as a civilian. He however suffered a PTSD attack and Grace and her dog Chiefy came upon him. Chiefy was a PTSD service dog for her deceased brother and went to comfort Sid. SID found a motorcycle that had been sitting for 20 years and wanted to fix it so it would run. He found that he liked working on the bike and helping in the garage. He decided he wanted to stay there in Blossom Springs with his friends.
Grace also a former military service person just left an abusive relationship when she moved to Blossom Springs. She was renovating houses for rentals. The quiet was being interrupted by motorcyclist who were terrorizing the city. The two of them and their friends were trying to find a why to resume quiet to the city. This is the story of them finding each other and seeing if romance on a second chance. They also are trying to rid the city of the nuisance motorcyclist.

Loved this start to the series set in a small town and featuring characters in their early 50s. Sid is a veteran who suffers PTSD. He came to town for a bachelor party and is considering whether or not to put down roots in Blossom Springs. Grace has moved to town to become a business owner and start a new life.

I loved this second chance romance between more mature characters. Yes, they both have their insecurities but together they are able to work through them and start a new relationship. Chiefy, Grace's German Shephard, plays a pivotal role in her and Sid meeting for the first time. And when a motorcycle gang rolls into town creating mischief, Grace and Sid know they have to do something to help save the town they are both starting to love. There's also a great cast of secondary characters and I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Even though Sid’s military career may have ended the emotional aftereffects remain. He has relocated to Blossom Springs so that he can have a support system as he begins the next stage of his life. When he draws the attention of a group of bikers it brings Grace and her dog into his life when she comes to his aid.

When Grace sees Sid, she senses a kindred spirit and is there when he needs someone the most. Not only did their respective marriages end but they both also have a military background and now they find themselves being threatened by a common foe.

Grace and Sid were so supportive of each other and the romance between them is heartwarming as they try to do what is best for each other and the town they have come to love.

All the Feels in this Blossom Springs Romance!!

Sid is 51, suffers from PTSD, and a bachelor party in Blossom Springs brings him to a garage and a challenging project. Grace is 50, recently out of an abusive relationship, and working on cottages to turn into short-term rentals. She has her brother’s service dog Chiefy with her.

While walking Chiefy, Grace sees Sid in the garage under the influence of a PTSD episode. Chiefy goes straight to work and assists to restore Sid to the present. The acceptance and ease from Grace helps to build the connection both feel.

Life is still not easy, but then an outside force threatens the whole town. Suspenseful, emotional and entertaining.

No Backing Down

This is their second chance at... well, pretty much everything, and I love their journey! Grace Murphy and Sid Hoffman have each been beaten down by life, people and circumstances, alike, but I love how they neither lets that stop them from moving forward nor prevent them from recognizing a good thing when it happens. It may be a decent amount of insta-love, but it's also a wonderful story.

He was simply the most fantastic man she'd ever met in her life. Her heartbeat raced and a shiver scooted up her spine.
-- Grace Murphy

There is trouble that raises the tensions, but I love how everyone comes together to change the narrative. 💪🤝🤗

I love the tie-in to GHOST as minuscule as it is (& by minuscule, I mean a single word; can you spot it?). It is also great meeting many of the characters that will make appearances and possibly find HEAs in the next several books and spin-off series. It makes everyone feel like friends. Now, I want to move to Blossom Springs. Thanks, Patti. 😉

This story took me through a whole range of emotions! This is Sid and Grace's story. Grace has moved to Blossom Springs to try and recover from an abusive relationship with her ex-husband and also still reeling from losing her brother. She's also taken on her late brother's emotional support dog Chiefy. Sid is an Army vet who suffers from PTSD and found his way to Blossom Springs after his terrible divorce. When he suddenly has an episode from fireworks Chiefy runs over to offer him comfort and in turn meets Grace. Can these two damaged hearts be able to find healing with each other and also take on some trouble that has started affecting the whole town? Loved this story so much!!

I am in love with PJ Fiala’s new Servicemen of Blossom Springs series! This is the first book, and I couldn’t put it down. You get a great Convilleombination of small town, romantic suspense, and later in life romance. Sid and Grace have both survived bad relationships in the past. They click when Chiefy the wonder dog helps Sid during a PTSD attack. There a biker gang causing some trouble in Blossom Sorings. Sid and his friends ban together with their town to run them off. Meanwhile their relationship grows and becomes steamy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait for more stories!

Steamy Nights is a romance that follows a recent divorcee and a veteran with PTSD who find each other while starting over. I enjoyed the fact that Sid and Grace are older and aren't naive to the realities of life. They complement each other so well. Sid works to ensure Grace knows her worth after the emotional and mental toll her ex put on her. At the same time Grace and her dog Chiefy help Sid fight his demons and reach his full potential. We get just enough detail about the supporting characters to get to know them well while leaving plenty to be discovered when they get their own books. Great start to the Blossom Springs series!

I really enjoyed the first book in the new series, Blossom Springs by PJ Fiala. Sid and Grace are both new to the town of Blossom Springs. Meeting unexpectedly, they discovered that they have a lot in common. They are both cautious, having both survived rough divorces. They gradually get to know each other and things just blossom from there. The only fly in the ointment is a bunch of rowdy, bikers. Get this book and dive into the excitement of Blossom Springs. You won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

We are in a new town called Blossom Springs and we meet Sid and Grace. Sid feels like he finally belongs somewhere and is working on an old motorcycle when he has a PTSP episode. Grace and her dog Chiefy are walking by when Chiefy notices Sid and runs over to help. She was Grace's brother service dog. As Sid and Grace along with Chiefy spend more time together they grow closer the only problem is a bunch of rowdy bikers causing trouble. There's great chemistry, some drama, great friends coming together and finding your place and person to spend the rest of your life with.

4.5/5 Sid and Grace are starting over after divorces and major life events when they move to a small town for a fresh start. Sid is having a PTSD attack when Grace and Chiefy see him and help him. As Grace and Sid are getting to know each other trouble seems to be looming as Bikers set their sights on them. Sid and Grace both have been through a lot in their love lives and they know that a connection like they found is worth exploring. I enjoyed this second chance romance with more mature characters. I look forward to reading more in this series.

I loved this story of Sid and Grace. An older couple who both went through painful divorces, neither were looking for romance, just trying to find a new place to settle down and be happy. Grace, with her brother's service dog, help Sid with his PTSD as they fall in love quickly while being threatened by a motorcycle gang. Loved the town and how they all rallied together to help the couple push the gang out of town. Great read!

Is 50 the new 30?? No its better

Love the story. Great chemistry, real people with real issues. Showing just because you're 50 doesn't mean you can't embrace the next phase of your life and make it awesome. Chiefy was awesome!! Can't wait for the next story and to see how things keep going in Blossom Springs. As usual this author makes it relatable. Everyday people, in this case Veterans that just keep on keeping on!!! LOVED IT

This was such a great read! I especially appreciated the storyline because it features mature characters that bring lots of life experience to new relationships. I also liked how the couple went about adulting when challenges cropped up….but most of all I liked how the romance sizzled just right for the time, place, and people involved.

This is such a good older generation type novel.

The main characters are in the midpoint of life. Both are working through their own issues stemming from life experiences. The connection was there from the start and seeing a mature relationship goal is a wonderful thing.

I can't wait to see how she moves forward with the others in the series!
