H.T Stephens lives in Georgia with their wife and occasionally borrows two fur friends. They have been writing since they could hold a pencil and were strong-armed into publishing their poems by their partner and a friend. They like early morning runs to Starbucks and late night conversations with friends. Although their focus right now is in poetry they have a feeling that one day they’ll be talked into finally publishing a work of fiction. They believe in honesty, integrity and friendship and hope everyone they meet has all of these things in abundance.

They can be found on X, Instagram and Bluesky at the handle @htstep94

I really enjoyed the writing style of this poetry. The lines are short and to the point, but the images and feelings they create are deep and moving.

I smiled, laughed, and cried.

I am so looking forward to seeing more from this amazing author.

These poems are a testament to the author's vulnerability, and I am captivated by how she bared her soul, revealing parts of herself that are often hidden from the world. One poem that resonated with me is "Shine On," a mantra that reminds us to persevere through tough times and keep going, even when we stumble. What I appreciate about this collection is how it showcases different facets of the author's personality - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the scars that shape her. It takes courage to reveal these sides of oneself, especially when society encourages us to only show our polished and perfect selves. The author fearlessly exposes the parts of her that are afraid, unsure, and reluctant to trust others. It's a reminder that the world can be a daunting place, and she skillfully brings attention to this reality. Reading these poems has left a profound impact on me, and I am grateful to have encountered such beautiful words.

H.T. Stephens has penned an incredible collection of poetry that will leave a lasting impression on me. The poems are an honest portrayal of someone who has overcome many obstacles yet faced each one with grace and dignity. To be able to share this with the world is bravery unlike any other. It’s emotional and powerful with so much insight that I walk away feeling a deep sense of gratitude that I have this book in my hands. Thank you H.T. for your honesty, courage, and brilliant light in a world that has a tendency to be dark.

The work of H. T. Stephens is truly an accurately poised personal depiction of the emotions of life. Their words can be relatable to the moments of darkness they experienced, and their interpretation of their life is beautiful. The love they have for their wife is completely evident and truly leaves you warm with the love they share together. Beautiful work that I think everyone should appreciate and read regardless of who they love.

Reading these words is like listening to the author's soul at the darkest of moments. And just when it becomes almost . . . almost too much to bear, there's a glimpse of humor, hope, and happiness. The reader is rooting for this author all the way through. Very relatable. Pure emotion.
