Sin is broken father. After losing the love of his life, he is not thinking rationally. The only thing he is absolutely sure of, the doctor will pay for letting his daughter die. With all that he has left, justice will be served for his heart, Chelsea.

Sin had no way of knowing that his revenge would be totally thrown in to a tailspin of this-was- not-supposed-to-happen-this-way events.

Hero: 8/10
Hotness: 4/10
Romance: 7/10

His suffering is evident. He's on a downward spiral, he's breaking down, he's turning into a monster and revenge is all he can see.
'An eye for an eye.
A daughter for a daughter.
A life for a life.'

Emily is lonely, sexually dissatisfied and bored. She dreams of excitement and bad boys. After chance meeting with 'Sin', she's dreaming of him too. But soon he turns into her nightmare.

Soon Sin is battling with the man he's become and the man he used to be. His desire is screwing up his plans, and Emily is slowly breaking him down.
'When she pressed her lips to mine. I came to life.'

It's a classic story of a broken man and the woman who wants to save him.

I gave it 3.5 stars because, for a short book, it took some time to kick off. And, because of the aspects included in the story; lust, wrath, revenge, hatred... it didn't feel as thrilling as it could have been. Also, I think 'The Wrath of Sin' could have highly benefited from being written from a singular POV. This would have improved the book in three ways. One; to avoid repetition of a few scenes from different point of views. Two; It would have cut out the backstory that took up too much time in the beginning of the book. Three; It would have given an air of mystery to one of the characters and allowed us to discover who they were as a person with some character development.

The first few chapters pulled at my heartstrings. I really felt for 'Sin'. His suffering was realistic and in turn his character was too. He battled with his emotions and morals in a genuine way. Emily was a fixer, and I enjoyed seeing her slowly uncover the man that Sin really was.

Wow!! This story grabbed me right from the beginning and it refused to let me go until the end, wishing…no, hoping that Jacksin would get the closure and happiness he so deserved.

Oh, that Sinful Sin—he's a hard-headed a$$ and stubborn like heck! He knows he's right and he'll do whatever he has to, to prove it. Little did Sin and Emily realize, their feelings would take root and refuse to let go until they both gave in.

This was an emotional read, which had me on pins and needles, rooting for Jacksin to find peace and redemption, and for Emily to find the happiness she's been chasing, even if it's with someone like Sin.

It flowed beautifully and had my undivided attention—so much so that when I got to the end, I was sad seeing their journey end....**Sigh** ~ Kara, 4.5 stars

~~~
Wrath of Sin is totally sinful, in a dark and demented way…
I have to say Tabatha Vargo and Melissa Andrea are solid writers who are guaranteed to entertain. This was a fast read for me because once I started, I couldn’t put it down. There were so many things going on. Jacksin isn’t sure which way is up, or how to get out of the bottle in his hands. Emily is striving to live a not-so-boring life. What happens when these two individuals collide is something I never could have expected.
There were so many directions this book could have gone. They could have delved into the deep, dark, mental health issues of what happens after loss. That’s a rabbit hole that spirals to depths we can’t even imagine unless we’ve experienced it. But yet somehow, they helped a reader find the light in this. I’m not sure how or when it exactly happened. I did recognize the process for what it was, but it was just So. Much. More.
Sin. Sexy. Dark. Dangerous. Demented. Sad. Angry. —All words I’d use to quickly describe the characters, feelings and emotions of this book in an overall way. Then, there’s the light. Just one small sliver that makes its way out. That’s what we all live for. The slivers of light that bring us hope. ~ Heather, 4 Sinful stars
Sin has lost his world. His daughter was everything to him and when her health declines so does the life Sin still has left in him. The only thing waking him up every day is his need for revenge on the man who took her from him.
Its not what you think, sorta. The man Sin is after is a doctor. He could have saved Sin's precious princess but instead he was told that he's met his quota for the year for any pro bono procedures. Sin's life shatters before him.
Sin's days are filled with deep sorrow and despair. But he's got a plan in place and will get his justice. So he thinks. Emily throws a wrench into his plan and turns his world upside down.
Emily is said doctor's daughter and Sin see this as a great opportunity to get his revenge. Except Emily ignites a fire in him that he's never felt for any woman.
Sin may have kidnapped Emily to fulfill his plan but she brings out more in him and his need to stay alive and live for the first time in his life.
The journey the two take is so sexy but so very sad. The truth hurts and it touches everyone involved. Can they find happiness with a situation that seems doomed from the beginning or will it they find a happily ever after?
I wasnt a fan of Emily and her constant need for someone to "fuck" her but she used her profession to bring Sin back to reality and that A ok in my book, pun intended :D
a really great read.
Utterly amazing story written by two incredible authors! The characters were extremely well written. The story line unique and strong. Sin's pain tugs at your emotions, his taste for revenge tempts you and his passion will drive you over the edge. His heartache will become your own while Emily's need unlocks your darkest fantasies.
When Sin's world is turned upside down, I could feel every emotion. His fight to to reclaim his life became my own. When Emily steps into the picture his entire plan is shot to hell. His hatred towards the man that took his life turns into a dark passionate affair...and he has to fight to gain control.
Emily follows in her father's footsteps with a job that leaves no room for fun or excitement. Her life is an endless cycle of boring day in and day out and her boyfriend is seriously lacking between the sheets. She wants a passion that consumes her completely. While out shopping, an impulsive buy leads from one thing to the next and Emily finds herself in a life altering situation...and her darkest fantasies become reality.
Everything changes within the blink of an eye for both the main characters in 'The Wrath of Sin' but when Sin holds you hostage there's no escaping his punishment...
Pros
I liked Sin. He was damaged but I understood it. I understood his thought processes, his grief, his attraction to Emily, his need for revenge. I understood that.
The was nice sex scenes.
Cons
Emily was an okay character. I just got irritated with her because I felt like she did not have enough self preservation, enough self respect and self esteem to try harder to leave. How do you walk in a park and try not to run or escape? How does "the police" show up at your door step and you don't try to relay some signal for help? That shit pissed me off. Her father was in another country so he was physically safe from Sin if that was a worry. She could just warn him. I felt like that part of the book was unrealistic. She even knew where the key was all along but tried to use the window and failed? Bitch is you dumb or desperate?
This is one of the best books I’ve read in quite a while and I was completely floored by how
much I loved every single thing about this book! When I read the synopsis I immediately knew I just had
to read this, but even that did little to prepare me for what a well thought out and incredibly all-
consuming book this was going to turn out to be. This is a story that stays with you long after you’re
finished reading it and makes you feel every single emotion there is from the first page to the last. I am
not much of a crier when I’m reading books and most of the books that make everyone else cry don’t
cause me to shed a single tear. This book had tears streaming down my face and had me blubbering like
a baby and I loved every second of it. This is an extremely successful collaborative effort between two
amazing authors and after having read this I can say that I personally hope they decide to write many
more books together in the future! To be honest, I completely forgot the fact that this was written by
two different people since it flowed so seamlessly.
The characters in this story are extremely relatable and my heart literally broke for everything
Jaxsin (Sin) has been through. As a mother of three children myself, I cannot even begin to imagine what
it’s like to go through something like that, nor do I want to. I felt that this story resonated with me even
more than most since my youngest daughter has a heart condition and I almost lost her twice in the first
three months of her life. She’s nine years old now and doing well, but I can personally say that heart
conditions are a terribly frightening thing for any parent to have their child have to experience since
things can go very badly with absolutely no warning.
I loved every single thing about this entire story and wouldn’t change a thing! This is an
incredibly well written story that took me through the entire range of emotions to the point where I
didn’t ever want this to end. I read a lot of books, averaging about one per day, and for me to give a
book a five star rating it has to be one that really knocks my socks off. This one does that and then some.
I can already tell that I’ll be rereading this one over and over again and I couldn’t be happier to have
come across this amazing book. I highly recommend this for anyone and everyone to read since it’s just
that good.
The Wrath of Sin is the new standalone novel from Tabatha Vargo, now I’m a massive fan of this authors Blowhole Boys series but I will admit I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from this book.
I have a real mixed feeling about this book, I liked it but I’m not sure if I should have. Now that may sound odd but this is such a delicate subject matter, Emily falls in love with Sin who let’s be honest has some mental health issues, oh and he also holds her hostage!!!
The good bits...
• Emily, I like this girl she’s strong and determined and really just took everything in her stride, I mean sin kidnaps her and apart from a couple of meltdowns she is so calm about everything.
• Sin, now talk about an antihero, you really shouldn’t like him but I did.
The bad bits...
• Emily is a grief councillor and Sin is consumed by anger and grief...hmmmm
• Sin has some serious mental health issues at the start; they don’t just go away if you fall in love!!
God I’m not sure what to say about this book, Tabatha Vargo is brilliant at taking uncomfortable and painful subjects, like grief and death and anger and creating engaging characters.
Although Sin is dangerous and concerningly angry and perhaps even borderline crazy I still liked him. I find it amazing that even as he’s planning to kill someone, I didn’t find him contemptible I felt sorry for him.
For a parent to lose a child especially at such a young age is one of the most traumatising and heartbreaking things they could ever experience. Sin’s pain and grief is felt in every word that Tabatha Vargo has written and as a parent myself I can understand his need for revenge and retribution.
I know I should be outraged that Sin is prepared to kill another person, but I’m not and that’s what I have issue with, that’s why I don’t feel like I should have liked this book.
Now Emily & Sin falling in love, hmmm it shouldn’t work. I should be ranting and saying... OMG how ridiculous, he held her hostage, tried to kill her, threatened her father what the hell is wrong with her. This should feel like a Stockholm syndrome love story but it doesn’t.
This feels like a love story in an unlikely situation and as wrong as it still feels I really liked this book!!
There aren't enough stars in the world to tell you how incredibly fulfilling this book truly is.Have you ever read a book where you were completely and utterly consumed? I'm talking you don't put that book down for NOTHING!!! I don't think I have ever read a book that has bound me to my seat with my heart pounding and absolutely shattered my heart. This isn't a genre I would normally read. I would say this is dark in a way, but there is no way that I would ever pass this book by. I cried. I had chills for the last 20% of this book. I am having trouble forming my feelings because I am in a total book hangover!! This was also my first book by Tabatha and I am now her #1 fan!!
Sin suffered the worse tragedy than you could ever suffer in this earth. He lost his baby girl.It wasn't enough that her mother died shortly after giving birth to her. Sin was left to care for a baby in his own. He also knew that there was one man responsible for her death. And he would have his revenge. That man will pay dearly!
Emily was living an unfulfilling life. She wanted to be wild and wreckless for a change. Little did she know that wreckleness would come to her by Sin!! She was in for the rife of a lifetime. What she thinks she knows of her life will change in an instant. What will she do when her world is shattered right along with Sin?
These two will definitely grab your heart and will not let go even after the HEA. There are no words to describe how whole your heart will feel in the end. Also these two will shatter your deepest fantasies! Holy hell, how hot they are! This is definitely a read you will feel completely fulfilled after reading. One click ASAP!
The Wrath of Sin is one of those books that will pull on your heartstrings from beginning to end. Once I started reading 1) I quickly realized I needed to keep some tissue handy and 2) I didn't want to stop.
Sin is a man tortured by the loss of someone he loved more than life itself. As time passes and the longer he has to stew in his own heartache the angrier and more unstable-ish he becomes. He's determined to make the man he sees as responsible for his loss pay.
But his plans take a bit of a detour when he lays eyes on Emily. Who just happens to be the daughter of the man he's after.
Emily is no stranger to dealing with people who have dealt with and are struggling with the loss of someone they love. It's her job to help them get better. She loves her job but finds her life outside of the job rather boring. Her social life is boring. The guy she's seeing is boring. Her sex life is boring. Boring, boring, boring.
Then one night everything changes. Sin and Emily's lives are intertwined and things get...interesting. And by interesting I mean HOT.
Sin, though on a mission of revenge, feels something for Emily. She makes his broken heart beat again. In turn, Sin unlocks and feeds Emily's untapped sexual desire. He brings her to life.
Emily is the type of heroine I love. She's strong, smart, independent but isn't afraid to be vulnerable and need a man. I like that well balanced combination.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from these authors.
This is quite a shortish book, but yet i still found myself captivated by it. Although the subject of the story was difficult and we all know the pain of losing someone we love so much, i found myself totally understanding all the difficult emotions that Sin was going through, the devastation, the heartache, the pain, the anger, the turmoil, but yet although he felt he was turning into a monster it was also clear that he was a good man.
Sin just can't come to terms with losing his little daughter and is obsessed in his grief with the need to haul the docter responsible for her death over the coals. He's suffering and broken and its evident.
Emily is a grief consellor, a bit lonely and bored with her personal life, and dreams of having someone exciting in her life. A chance meeting with Sin brings those dreams into her life but it becomes more of a nightmare. She recognises how broken Sin is though.
Sin battles his feelings for Emily, because after all how can he live or feel again without achieving what he feels is justice for his daughter.
I loved the chemistry between the two characters and the sexual tension and passion between them was hottttt !!
"when she pressed her lips to mine, i came to life." I loved their relationship and loved how she brought him back, i'd recommend this book ! Though i did need tissues !!
Only fault i found was I wanted more !!
This book started out a little slow for me, which seems a little ridiculous seeing as though it was so full of crazy. Seriously I was wicked nervous about how insane Sin was acting and really saw this story taking a bad, bad turn.
Once we finally get introduced to Emily and their first encounter things started to pick up. The crazy didn't stop.
All I kept thinking was, how can I possibly find Sin so incredibly hot while he was acting like such a maniac? The heat between him and Emily was palpable and I just wanted to scream...PLEASE JUST FUCK ALREADY!!
I'm a little worried about my judgement after reading this and falling in lust with Sin despite his being hell bent on making someone pay for his loss.
I will say that as the story progressed he slowly redeemed himself and never once did the pure carnal attraction between him and Emily ever slow.
I wish there would have been a little bit more to the story in the epilogue but I'm still kind of hot and bothered thinking about Sin and his tongue. :)
Jacksin Marks is deeply grieving the worst loss a human can possibly experience. And he blames one man for his loss. On man who he holds personally responsible and "Sin" has decided the only reason to go on living is to exact his revenge.
Emily is a grief counselor at a local hospital stuck in a boring life. She yearns for excitement, for something to color her gray existence. After meeting her father for dinner one night, she literally stumbles into a tall dark stranger and her life will never be the same again.
This book had a couple editing issues and a couple times during the POV switch events were repeated unnecessarily. However, the book was an emotional and raw read. The two characters were quite literally made for one another and fit together better than any couple I have read in a while. I felt there were lots of opportunities for the story to get bogged down and lose focus, but the authors navigated these instances beautifully and kept it interesting and well paced.
Once the book got moving, I was unable to put it down.
I am just loving the darker side of Tabatha Vargo, add Melissa Andrea and you have one hell of a good book!
Sin is at the bottom of the barrel and dwelling in it like a day at the beach. He doesn't want to deal with anything and can only think of getting his revenge back on the one person that ruined his life and took the best thing that had ever happened to him away. When he meets Emily, retribution is the only thing plan he has for her. But Sin is about to learn about angels....
Emily has it all, great job, great father, great life, and a not so great boyfriend. He's boring...in life and in bed...when she goes out with a friend one night, a dare changes everything or was it already written in the cards.
Sin and Emily......sigh...Sin just had a shit storm around him and Emily was the one to bring the tornado down to a blustery wind and end the turmoil inside of Sin's heart. But it wasn't easy for either one of them! I LOVED this couple!! Another must read that needs to be added to everyone's TBR!!
I didn't know how I felt about this book once I started it. I still have mix feelings about it. This book is wonderfully written. It flows nicely together.
I hated that Sin humiliated, hurt Emily's feelings constantly and went after her to get to her father. What's even worst is she has feelings for him. He makes her doubt herself. He knows that he's being a jerk, that the way he's treating her isn't right but he keeps right on doing it.
I felt for Jacksin and his loss. I understood his pain and anger. But going after Emily was wrong. He knows it but still does it.
Emily obviously has self-esteem issues to have someone treat her so terribly but still have feelings for him.
I honestly thought the book would've ended differently. At one point I thought Jacksin was going to be the cause of another tragedy.
I enjoyed the book but hated Sin at times. I'd say read it and form your own opinion.
Sin has lost his young daughter to heart failure and he blames her doctor for her death. He is depressed, emotional and is self medicating with alcohol. He refuses to get any sort of grief consoling or talk to anyone, he decides to punish the doctor by taking his daughter, Emily. Emily is a grief counselor (how convenient!) and admires her father. Sin stalks her, they met at a bar and on a dare Emily kisses him. They are instantly attracted to each other, then Sin holds Emily hostage in her own home. I could see where the authors were trying to go but it didn't work for me. I didn't like Sin and didn't believe he made a recovery so soon. A few days together and Emily didn't try to escape, she wasn't scared of her kidnapper she acted like Sin was her boyfriend. I didn't feel Sin was redeemed, first he's mean to Emily then nice, then he physicaly hurts her. Story was not for me.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book. It is an awesome read. I know I teared up at the end a couple times. Jacksin, "Sin", is a grieving father. I think any parent would feel like he did, if they thought the same thing happened to their child, and that it could have been prevented. I wouldn't take it as far as he did, but I could understand where he was coming from. I would want to kill the bastard too. Emily, is the daughter of the surgeon, that didn't save Jacksin's daughter. What better way to get back at the doctor, than by taking away his daughter too. So that he would know what it feels like. I may not have known what to expect, but this book went beyond just meeting my expectations. I loved not knowing how it was going to end, it kept me on the edge of my seat.
Not sure where I am with my thoughts on this story. It was utterly heart wrenching to see a man so lost in grief over his daughter. The writing was smooth ( although it goes from her thoughts to his thoughts. always a point of contention with me. to reread the same situation twice with no real difference.)
Jacksin Was on the verge of killing himself with grief, when he gets the great notion to get back at the Dr. Who he blames. Interesting, spin on a guy drowning in despair. Then while stalking the Dr. He accidentally runs into the Dr.'s daughter. Ok so he went literally from obsessing over killing the Dr. To actually feeling his heart again with just bumping into the Daughter, for a minute.Not feeling that-
Sin decides to instead to kidnap the daughter, and then the daughter of course falls for him.
It was an emotional ride! 3,5 stars...
He was really suffering a hard loss, i could feel his pain and inner war through the pages.....he lived for his revenge!
She was a doctor living a boring life and wanted something exciting to happen to her.....and like they say watch out for what you wish for..so,she got what she wished for...... She was kidnaped!
He was rough,intense, hot, gentle and furious...a lost soul!
She was fierce,brave, kind and has a heart filled with light !
I liked their interaction and sparkling chemistry!
And like i always say,They were nothing near perfect but they were perfect for each other! This book makes you believe in second chances and finding inner peace.
The ending was a little fairy tale-ish but it i liked it!
Revenge never solves anything, will never remove the pain but when planing revenge leads you to love just maybe...
This beautiful written story is filled with emotions such as anger, heartbreak, passion, and love.
Melissa Andrea and Tabatha Vargo capture the reader's heart telling this story of Broken man planning revenge and a woman who want more in her life then the ordinary. Their paths collide changing their lives forever. One life learning to live again, the other finding the spark that has been missing.
This is far from a sweet romance yet it is full of passion. Definitely a can not put down read until the last word.
WOW! This story has so much power over your emotions. This was nothing that I expected. I cried, laughed and even cussed at the characters in this story. All I wanted to do is jump in to this book. His chary. Just saying Sin's name out loud makes you want to jump in to this book. His character is what all women want and fantasize about. He is a heart broken man and all I wanted was to become part of the story and help him. Emily's character is equally as charming! After everything that he put her though she stayed and helped him. This is a must read!!!! 18+
I won this book in a flash draw - This was an amazing story. Jacksin lost his daughter due to heart failure, everyone around him dies, he decides revenge is best, he targets the Doctor who denied Jacksins daughter an operation due to his monthly pro bono quota, and the little girl dies. Jacksin ends up kidnapping the doctors daughter, Emily. This story delves into different subjects, including death, and how the person that is kidnapped falls in love with the kidnapper. I would recommend this book, the writing was interesting and the journey was a hard one, but worth it.
Can you say book hangover????
I had no idea what to expect out of this book. I went in blind, I'm glad I did though. Not the type of book I'd normally grab, but it was great. The characters, wow, what can I say? You could feel Jacksin's pain, my heart broke for him. No one should experience that loss, especially not a parent.
I laughed, I cried, I was pissed off, and cried some more. I'm glad there was a happy ending, I would've been crushed otherwise. Totally not your typical love story, but worth it,
I look forward to more from this author.
I really liked this book, it was a little dark, not much just a little but it was still really good. I love Jacksin, he is sexy, strong, dominant, loving, and loyal. I could feel every bit of his pain because of the author, my heart broke for him. You could feel the chemistry between Sin and Emily right from the start, I kept thinking have sex already geesh. I loved how Sin told Emily to beg for him, they just sizzled. I love how it ended, I was bawling my eyes out. Great story, nice mix of drama, romance, and erotica.
This is a fairy tale of epic proportions. It's dark, hot, and emotional...and also healing. It is such a beautiful story. You meet a man so lost in grief that he can't do anything but seek revenge. You have a woman who is bored with life, but not at all ready for the events that are about to unfold in her life. This story is heartbreaking yet you'll be left feeling full. A 5 star read that you don't want to miss out on!!
Wow, this was just wow! I loved this book! It was completely different than anything I have read, I loved the story line and the characters just jumped off the page. Sin thinks he is getting revenge on the man he thinks killed his daughter by taking his daughter, but in the end he ends up saving himself and his captive too. Just an incredible story and the loves scenes were off the charts sexy! Great book, very well written, buy it now!
