If your beard his really hard to tame.... you will love shea moisture...
I've tried many different beard kit... unfortunatly I had to start from scratch my beard journey many time... I've dealt whit serious dandruff 3 years in a row...winter last 5 months here so I only got a break during summer but still dealt with it to some extent... partly because I didnt know how to take care of my beard but when I finally start to get serious with beard product... I still dealt with dandruff to a certain extent...went to the doctor it was so bad... but all of it is in the past until shea moisture came in my life :)))) I also dealt with extreme dryness, itchiness, and lots of breakage... the she moisture kit does it all plus give a great scent to your beard... when women get close.. they will love it!! its the best bang for buck... the beard oil!!! is magical :)

I bought this because my partners beard was dry, rough and he complained of itchiness. He has easily clogged pores so I was doing a lot of research on products to make sure I didn’t get him something too greasy or just didn’t work. (I’m an esthetician)
He’s a rough manly man and when he tried it for the first time it was like a woman who found the best lipstick that didn’t smudge or crack.
He went on and on about how good it smelled and how the beard wash from the same line made it feel so clean yet so moisturized and the detangler was the cherry on top and made it super soft and smelled amazing. He likes to rub his beard on me now because he loves it so much! Lol. That was the first time he used it and kept loving it to the point he actually added it to his shower and daily up-keep routine.
After about a week or so of use I asked him how his skin was with the use of this and he has no clogged pores or stripping of the skin. It’s been a few months and he still uses it daily

Side note: a lot of people say this line is for “ethnic” people only but that is NOT true! he’s a full blown white red neck and loves this stuff so much! Lol

I really wish I knew this beard wash existed a lot sooner but this is definitely something I recommend everyone to include in their beard routine. Once I actually started growing my beard I simply purchased oil and balm and called it a day not even knowing that it’s best if you add a wash as well. This is the type of product that could last months if used properly and it’s best if you only use a dime sized amount every time. The suds it creates once you work it in are amazing and you really feel the product getting the job done. I only wash my beard twice I week just because if you wash it any more than that then you’re stripping it from the natural oils it already creates. This wash makes me look forward to washing my beard every week and for the price I’m more than pleased.

So I found this at my local King Soopers one day and fell in love with it. But as grocery stores do, they rotate product that probably isn't bought by a ton of people. So, as what most people do, I took to Amazon. And there are a few dealers on here that sell it. Anyway, I just to break out around my lips on my face where my beard touches it, but even my wife noticed I haven't broken out sine I started using this. Been sampling beard washes over the past year and this by far is the best (considering it’s my fifth bottle of this stuff). I enjoy the smell, though I can’t really define what it is but it smells great- maybe shea butter but it’s manly or at least, I’m manly. It leaves my beard very soft, and you don’t need to apply a lot. In fact, the size of a dime is sufficient for my beard which is roughly 3” from my chin. My only complaint is that if you don’t shake it, I believe the ingredients sink to the bottom and you use them up. Other than that, this will most likely be the only beard wash I continue to use for as long as I have this sucker on my face.

Oh, and let me mention, I use this wash in addition to a full regimen of beard products NOT from Shea Moisture.

I had a regular beard oil brand I would use, but I didn't get on with their beard wash as it left my beard and face feeling very dry. For a while I used Lush products instead but basically every time I bought a refill / replacement the price had increased from the last time.

The tiniest amount, basically pea sized, is still enough to generate a full lather in my beard, and the resulting feel and smell of my beard is wonderful. I'm so pleased that this product is likely to a) have more longevity per purchase than my previous brand and b) appears to do exactly as promised and moisturises and hydrates well with what can only be described as a delicious smell. So much so that I have ended up purchasing and using their beard oil as well and have every intention of this being my brand of choice from here on in!

I'm an older guy with a short salt and pepper 5mm beard and a more prominent moustache. I guess some people might call it a beardstache. I've tried a few beard washes and always found that although my beard was clean it felt like a bristle brush, especially my moustache. The very first time I washed my beard with the Shea Moisturizing Beard Wash my beard hair definitely felt and still feels different. It's actually soft and manageable. This is especially noticeable with my mustache where the hair is softer than it's ever been. This product is amazing and I just ordered the Beard Balm to use in between washings.
