For sensitive skin folks, this product is probably a good choice. It’s gentle. But in terms of effectiveness, I’ve found other products to be more useful. Honestly, pairing a retinol product with a moisturizer has been enough to keep me from having irritation and has worked better than this stuff. The smell is a bit gnarly so make sure you avoid kissing your significant other for a few minutes after applying. It’s just one of those products with a popular cult following for very little reason.

I have this 3 stars because although it works very well, the smell is absolutely AWFUL! I am a skincare fanatic, I've tried so, so many brands and products from very high end to drug store. I've never come across anything like this. It's unfortunate because it's a great product. That said, there are many other equally and or better products that don't make you gag after you put them on. I just can't understand how whomever created this, didn't think, "People may not want to use this with this smell!" I don't love fragrance in my skincare but I'll take that over this any day. I actually thought it was bad until I read other reviews. I tried for a while to use it because of the great ingredients but I just can't do it. It's really a bummer. So, if you're going to buy it, keep that in mind.

Got this in the Rachel Zoe box and it smells horrible. I tried to repurpose it and use it someplace further from my nose (my hands) and it was still too much, it is basically trash.

I also got this in the Rachel Zoe box of style. I want to love it but it smells absolutely filthy. Like dead and rotten flowers - rancid moldy flowers. I reached out to shani Darden to ask if this was just from a bad batch and the company replied that it does have this sort of smell to it

Beware of the reviews on the Darden website. Only verified buyers are posted. I tried posting this, but being that it is negative, it was rejected. I bought this with high hopes. It caused horrible reactions. Large bumps, and acne in areas where I do not normally break out. I have sensitive reactive skin, and cannot tolerate retinol, most serums, etc. I even resorted to using a moisturizer before the product. My skin still broke out. This is the last product in the darden line that I will be using. The cleanser and moisturizer also caused breakouts.

I received this item in the Box of Style by Rachel Zoe and although the product seems to work well, it smells absolutely awful. The scent dissipates after a while, it is hard to get over.
