This is the second book in the Seven Seconds series and the first book I have read by the author. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the prior book as some characters make an appearance here. Dylan and Olivia were attracted to each other from the beginning. However, there were a few obstacles standing in their way as they each had significant others but the relationships were not what they seemed. When things between Dylan and Olivia were about to take a turn, an unexpected tragedy occurred which changed their intended course. In order to cope with the new development their relationship needed to take, seven promises were reached to deal with the situation. Overall, this is one captivating read from beginning to end. The journey that Dylan and Olivia are put through is fraught with obstacles, secrets and supposed betrayal. Ms. Moran has an affable writing style that showcases her complex characters and puts them in situations that show their inner strength, resilience and what the power of forgiveness can do.

About the author

pril has been writing stories since she was in elementary school. She still has those old notebooks, and for a giggle might let you read them. Her style has sharpened since then, but the belief in the power of romance never changed. Readers will always find a happy ending at the end of her novels – after their favorite characters endure great angst, of course!

April lives on Florida’s Emerald Coast. Married for 32 years to her high school sweetheart, they have one married daughter. April is tolerated by a sassy Quarter Horse and suffers a rock-n-roll addiction. When not writing about romance, she and her husband attend concerts and plan trips to Nashville with their daughter and son-in-law.
