So, I honestly don't know how Jessica Prince does it... but she makes me fall in love with her characters. All the time! It's hard to pick a favourite couple when you love them all so much...

Surprisingly Hardin and Ford aren't any exception!
Their story is told in Seductress. It's book 4 of her Whiskey Dolls Series and OMG! IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD! 😍

Hardin is a tough single mom, who is also the owner of Junior's - the pizzeria in town. Together with her baby girl, Hazel, she lives her life with no real time for a new love. But... there's this hot firefighter Ford. He likes her pizza and... maybe more?!

OH MY GOODNESS!
THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN HARDIN AND FORD IS EXCELLENT!
She's the tough single mom and he's her brother's best friend. Ooops! Which makes her off-limits! 🤭 Or not?!
The next book of the Whiskey Dolls Series was absolutely wonderful!
I felt soooo much while I experienced their love story! There are soooo many emotions! This love Hardin has for her little girl, the responsibility she has for their life. It's inspiring and all you want for her - as a reader - is to get her HEA! ❤️
And... there's Ford. Tall, dark, blue eyes - the sexy guy with a serious secret! Oh boy! It's heavy stuff! 😭
Well, honestly I didn't expect to cry so much! 😢
But besides all the emotions... I also have to confirm that Ford is such an excellent dirty talker! 🔥🥵
Both can't deny there's some kind of attraction!!! Awwww! Perfection for every hopeless romantic!

You guys see, I can't stop swooning here!!!
Seductress has it all!
Attraction, chemistry, emotions overload!, drama!!!, lots and lots of drama!!! (I didn't see it coming!!!) and suspense!! Oh! And did I mention emotions?? Swoon-worthy moments, goosebumps moments, hot moments, cute moments, sad moments and so on and on!

I'm so thankful that I got to read this wonderful story! Can't wait for more!

Small town firefighter Ford Grimes has relocated to get a fresh start. He sees Hardin Shields right away and is attracted to her immediately, but when he realizes she has a young daughter he knows she would want more stability then a fling. Years later though the burn he has for her has not let up, the only change though is that Hardin wont remain single forever and Ford wants his chance. As they get close though Hardin opens up, Ford though is still keeping the reasons he relocated to himself and is not sure he can be all in. Will he be able to figure it out before it is too late and he loses Hardin altogether?

Another wonderful read from this author. This one was a bit different then the others as Ford has ghosts he has kept carefully hidden. Hardin is a breath of fresh air and as a single mom flying by the seat of her pants. Several twists in the story that surprised me.

Hardin and Ford’s story was another fantastic emotional read for me. Hardin had felt the connection to Ford from the first moment they met, it seemed like Ford had felt the same way too until he started to pull back. Ever since then these two have been circling around each other, but when Hardin decided she needed to get back into dating, Ford finally decided he needed to take a chance.

Ford moved into town about five years ago to get away from his tragic past. He was all about hooking up with the owner of the local pizzeria until he realized she was one of his closest friend’s little sister and because of the little girl that ran into her arms. Hardin’s life has revolved around her seven-year old daughter, Hazel, and proving to her father that she can run the family business, but she had to make a change in her personal life. After an unsuccessful first date, Hardin decides to finish up her night at the Tap Room where Ford happened to be. It was from here their relationship changes.

I really loved these two as individuals and definitely as a couple. They both had a lot going on in their personal lives. Hardin’s ex and his new flame are causing problems that definitely escalates and Ford’s tragic past makes it so difficult to fully let go. But in the end the connection and love was too strong to keep them apart.

Seductress was a great addition to one of my favorite series by this author. A must read and I highly recommend it!

I'm a sucket for a brothers best friend romance, and to add single mom to boot who is tough as nails and does everything in her power for her little girl? That's some catnip right there!

Hardin is running her families business -- the towns beloved pizzeria -- its been her passion her entire life, but between being a single mom with a dead beat ex, trying to grow the business all the while her parents question her every move, and not having any time in the day to breathe, to say she's overwhelmed is an understatement. Besides her daughter, the brightest parts of her day would be when the towns exclusive hottie would come in and flirt with her, and just when she felt like it could go somewhere.. it just stopped. So she's not thrilled that he's suddenly everywhere she turns, and she's determined to push him out of her mind and find someone who deserves her.

As for Ford, he has his walls up extremely high, and the pain and self loathing is at an all time high, to the point where you coupes feel his devastation through the pages. And when you get to the why, you totally understand what made him pull back from Hardin and why he felt like he had no choice. I can't imagine trying to come back from his losses, but I am so glad Hardin and Hazel were able to pull him out of his darkness.

These two are just absolutely combustible together, and even though they fight it, they just can't stay away. I honestly loved how everything turned out, and it was just so much fun coming back to this world! My only minor complaint was that I felt the ending was rushed a tad bit, but other than that, this was the perfect romance for *this* exhausted mama!

4.5 STARS

Another sweet addition to the Whiskey Dolls series.

Hardin is a single mom and hasn't had a relationship since she and her ex broke up when their daughter was born 7 years prior. Her daughter, Hazel, has been her number one priority.

Ford moved to the area 5 years ago after something tragic in his life happened and he decided that he no longer is looking for love. But that doesn't stop it from finding him.

Hardin and Ford have been circling around each other for years and when Ford is finally feeling threatened by Hardin wanting to start dating, he decides that he is finally going to take the risk and work on a day to day relationship with her. And their chemistry is off the charts. And when though Ford is the one pushing for more, he knows in the back of his mind that he can never love again. Will Hardin be okay with that or is she already in too deep?

I really adored both of these characters! Hardin is a great single mother and has a backbone of steel against her ex-husband who has recently decided he wants to be a father because of outside influences. I loved how she stood her ground and protected her daughter at all costs.

Ford was also really great with Hazel, which was a nice surprise, given some of the internal struggles he was going through. Speaking of those struggles, I really felt for the guy. He went through something so tragic and just struggled every single day.

As always, I loved to see the characters from previous books and what they are doing in their lives now.

***5 “Team Hardin’ Stars***

This was a great read. Small town goodness and all that comes with it, single parent with an amazing child and two people so right for each other in all ways that their journey kept me turning the pages until the very end and wanting more.

I adored Hardin and Ford. Hardin is all kinds of amazing. Hard working, caring and totally comfortable in her own skin. Life has thrown some curve balls at her, but she’s picked herself up and kept going…and when she goes into full mama bear mode…well it was pretty glorious. Ford is a really good man, but boy those demons from his past ride him hard and keep him from truly living life the way his heart wants him to.

Their journey was fun and frustrating all at the same time. The push/pull was real, but the chemistry and connecting Ford and Hardin have is even more real. I will say that as empathetic as I was to all that Ford had been through, I was team Hardin all the way. The road block in their journey wasn’t a surprise, but it still hurt when it happened, but as far as how they get back on track and find their HEA, well that made it worth the ride.

This is a great addition to the Whiskey Dolls and the Hope Valley world as a whole. There are some heavy issues in here and could be triggering, but they are handled well. I loved catching up with Owen, Asher and the rest of the Dolls, but Hazel definitely stole the show. Now to wait to see who will be next to fall to cupids arrow!

Hardin and Ford will give you a story you didn’t even know you were missing, and you’ll love every last second of the time you spend with them. He’s determined not to love, while she’s trying to find her confidence while being doubted at every turn. He swears he’s not about to start anything, but then he finds that Hardin is moving toward dating again, and all bets are off.

Between nonsense with an ex who doesn’t know how to think for themselves, past trauma that is deliberately ignored until it’s almost too late, a sibling who has both Hardin’s and Ford’s backs in the best way, and a second chance, this is a rollercoaster that feels far too short by the time you hit “the end”. I wish I had more time to spend with these two, especially because both Ford and Hardin being so much to their story. One communicates and the other learns how to, both support each other when it counts, and they even survive family game night without lasting harm. And trust me, this family’s game night is one that you won’t want to miss witnessing.

Now I have to wonder who gets their story told next, as well as what it entails. I’m sure it’ll be something I never knew I needed but now can’t live without!

Hardin is a single mum with a douche bag ex trying to make a life for her daughter & her, running her family’s pizza place. She hasn’t had time for a relationship & has avoided them because of her past

Ford has suffered some heart break & he packed up his life & moved away, ever since he got to town he’s had his eyes on Hardin & has been keeping a distance due to her being his mates little sister

After a few years of flirting & side eyes will they finally
Make the move & see where they end up?
This is beautifully written & wanted more!

Thank you Jessica! Another amazing addition to whiskey dolls ❤️

What a story. I absolutely enjoyed reading it from start to finish. It had me hooked. Everything between Ford and Hardin was just beautiful, but of course with heartache. I love what Hardin did to catch Kadence, that whole scene had me saying (god job Hardin, you go girl). Ford’s story that had me in tears. That Hayley/Rebecca I knew there was a reason I didn’t like her from the beginning. What a book and beautiful ending!!!

Hardin is running the family pizza place, even if her parents wish it was her brother, while being a single mom raising her daughter. Ford is a firefighter who is friends with hardin’s brother. Ford has a tragedy in his past and Hardin has an ex with a crazy girlfriend. These two were perfection, add in Hazel, and it’s the perfect story!

Absolutely must read!! My heart broke for Ford and then was stitched back together as he stopped fighting his feelings for Hardin. Not to mention Hardin’s strength through all her struggles in this story. Their personalities mesh together so well and then when you throw in her daughter, Hazel, it gets even better!!

Loved Hardin and Ford. Have loved all of this series. Especially loved little Hazel she lights up on book. Loved the rawness of Ford and what he has been through. Not so much Whiskey Dolls in this book but still nice to see old characters reappear and even a little trip in Hope Valley

I've been anticipating this book since it was first hinted that it was coming. From the very first chapter, it was relatable. As a former single mom, I knew exactly what Hardin was feeling. I liked that aspect of it. Ford was an interesting character and I didn't know what to make of him at first. Since it isn't until later in the book that readers discover his backstory, it made me take longer to truly like him as a leading man.

The main plot point of this story was about baby daddy trauma and the new girlfriend. This part frustrated me. Not because it isn't a good conflict to have but it was odd from the start, especially, with the girlfriend. I wanted to know more about the reasons behind EVERYTHING. It just felt weird. I wanted to know the how and why of the motivation. I struggled with this a lot. I would have rather had the focus be on just Ford and Hardin and how they navigated a relationship with all the baggage and the newness of a new relationship with a child involved. That part could have been gold. Instead, it felt rushed, and that everything was just tied up in a few sentences to be able to type the end.

This was not my favorite from this author but I'm not sorry I read it. Rounding up to four stars because of a cute little girl and cameo appearances from other characters.

He and Hardin were absolutely amazing together. I loved them very much. And sweet sweet hazel!
This is the book about Owens sister and I'm sooo glad we got her book! I had been super curious about her. This book did not disappoint at all. It was absolutely beautiful. This was an amazing book about family , love and a second chance at love for both main characters.
I received an arc for my opinion

Hardin & Ford both have a past that’s kept them from wanting to dive into a new relationship but even that doesn’t stop their instant attraction from their first run in. Ford immediately backs off when he finds out that Hardin is a package deal & he just can’t find it in his heart to let another little girl in. After denying the attraction, Ford finally gives in & takes that first step from moving into his past because the alternative is losing Hardin. There’s a struggle because letting go is easier said than done, but the idea of losing Hardin completely is too much to fathom.

Such a beautiful story of working through tragedy and allowing second chances in your heart.

5 Coming Alive Again Stars!!

I absolutely positively loved this book. I’ve been reading Jessica Prince since the very beginning and I’ve never not loved one of her books. Hardin and Ford’s story is a perfect example of why I love her writing.

This book is filled with love, friendship and suspense. The suspense in this book, is very slow building and kind of on the periphery. What’s at the forefront of this book is the friendship and building love story between Hardin and Ford. Grapevine is where Hardin grew up and typical of a small town, everyone knows everyone and all their business! So when Ford moved to town a few years ago, he was immediately on the radar of all the single women including Hardin. But he has a huge wall built around him and nobody knows why. Even with his wall, he and Hardin become friends. She runs the town’s pizzeria which Ford and his fellow firemen visit on a very regular basis. There’s an instant attraction between them, but it never moved past that until it did and holy smokes they’re combustible!

As much as Hardin wants more, Ford makes it clear that he’s not on board with that so they settle into somewhat of a friends with benefits arrangement. Hardin is focused not only on running the family restaurant but also her precocious daughter Hazel. This little girl wiggles her way into everyone’s hearts especially Ford’s.

I loved watching the push and pull of these two. I knew there was something holding Ford back and as the story progresses we find out what it is. I can’t blame him for living the way he has, but there’s also something healing about letting Hardin and Hazel into his life. When you add in his friendship with her brother and the other firefighters that add moments of levity to their lives.

I read this book in one sitting and into the night. The way this story flows, we get to see some of people we know and love from previous books along with some people that had some nefarious plans. The way Ms. Prince builds the suspense of this story is masterfully done. I wasn’t expecting it that’s for sure. And the ending? Had a huge smile on my face thanks to a game of Twister! Go read this book!!!

Hardin Shields is a hardworking single mom who never puts herself first. But when the man she's been interested in for years starts finally returning her interest? You had better believe that she is ready to do something, just for herself...

Ford Grimes is not a relationship kind of guy... especially when he finds out that the woman he's been flirting with has a kid. But no matter how much he's tried to ignore his attraction to Hardin, she is well and truly burning, right under his skin...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seductress was a sweet and sexy, single parent romance! Hardin used to love to flirt with Grapevine's newest resident, until one day, Ford's interest went from scorching-hot to irrefutably, ice cold. But when their attraction refuses to extinguish, they decide to finally explore the heat between them...
Hardin is a harried single mother who works hard for her daughter and her family pizzeria. With a loser ex and too many responsibilities to bear, she is in desperate need of some... recharging.
Ford moved to Grapevine to start over after tragedy struck. As a part of the fire department, he has integrated in the Grapevine community, but he has still kept himself closed off from many true friendships, and definitely no relationships. But Hardin and her adorable daughter sneak their way into his heart... no matter how much he tries to avoid them.
This book was an entertaining and delightful read. Hardin is an honorary Whiskey Doll and I have been waiting for her to get her HEA! Ford was a damaged, yet strong man who desperately needs a woman like Hardin to heal him. Their chemistry was off-the-charts hot, and I loved the life-changing resolutions that they both find in this story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Having read this author's work many times before and other books in this series i've been looking forward to more! As soon as this fourth installment was announced it caught my eye and i wanted to read it. I picked it up and got right back into the Whiskey Dolls world! I so enjoyed this fourth book!
Hardin and Ford's journey captured my attention quickly! Hardin is the manager for her family's pizzeria and is a single mom to Hazel. Ford is firefighter trying his best to move forward. Ford is also best friends with Hardin's brother. The sparks fly between these two, but can Ford and Hardin open their hearts and take a chance on one another? Some things are easier said than done.
I really liked the way Hardin and Ford are brought into each other's lives. I admired Hardin so much, from her strength and determination to the amazing mom she was to Hazel. I felt for Ford and wanting to peel back his layers. I related to Hardin as well as Ford many times throughout reading. Both Hardin and Ford are tackling things in their lives and the realness that added to them and their story got to me. I didn't know how everything would unfold for Hardin and Ford which kept me on my toes. Their chemistry was so great and they definitely brought so many feelings to this heart of mine!
Sometimes a person can come into your life you and it shakes up your world in so many ways that can lead the heart where it needs to be. I was so glad to be back in the Whiskey Dolls world and getting to reunite with some familiar faces! I adored what Hazel brought to the story as well!
With Seductress, Ms.Prince has created such a good read that brought the unexpected, real, heart, and heat! I am so looking forward to reading what she comes up with next! 🧡🥃🔥
I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hardin is a single mom to an adorable 7-year-old daughter and runs the family pizza restaurant. She is an honorary Whiskey Doll. That is because brother, Owen is engaged to Whiskey Doll, Asher and she is very close with all the women. She got pregnant at age 19 so I believe she is 26 now.
Ford is 39 and moved to town about four years before and he had a flirt with Hardin until he found out she was a single mom. He hurt her by just cutting off his flirting with her. Instead he became close friends with Hardin's brother Owen.
Now years later he has a hidden crush on her. She is ready to restart dating again and this makes Ford rethink if he can stand seeing her with someone else. I LOVED Hardin super much. She is a tough single mom and has the cutest and sweetest kid. Ford hurt her years ago, but she let it go and they formed a casual friendship.
I did love Ford's scenes with Hardin's daughter Hazel. She really made the softer side to his personality come out. I also really enjoyed his relationship with Owen and while I did not like how he treated Hardin, the truth is she allowed it and he accepted it. One aspect I liked about him was his protective nature for Hardin and how he could not resist her once he kissed her.
While I loved seeing Hardin find a guy and I liked how the book ended, I did have issues with Ford and how he treated Hardin. But once he really started to come to grips with his past is when I started to like him. I would have loved to have had more scenes with him as his softer side came out more. This is not my favorite book in the series, but I did enjoy it.
Oh, Hardin and Ford…where shall I start? Hardin is Owen’s little sister, Ford is his best friend and I think we all know where that’s leading! Then we throw in Hazel and you’ll be hooked in a heartbeat! Hardin is a single mom with a loser ex and Ford has shadows and secrets from his past that stop him from taking his relationship with Hardin to the next level. But the heat they generate….your Kindle will be on FIRE.
When Hardin meets Ford several years prior to the start of Seductress, there’s instant chemistry, but it’s doused when he realizes his connection to her via Owen and the fact that she’s a mom. Bro code and all that baggage! Though they remain friendly, it stings that he’s able to ignore their connection so easily. With a pizzeria to run and an adorable 7-year-old to parent, Hardin really doesn’t have the luxury of chasing a man who’s gone cold. However, when there’s danger afoot and Hardin is in trouble, suddenly Ford has to come to terms with losing Hardin in the worst way. Will he admit his feelings? Will they live happily ever after? I mean, it IS a Jessica Prince novel so I think the answer is clear.
As always, you don’t have to read the rest of the Whiskey Dolls series to read Seductress, it can be read as a standalone, but why would you want to? Why wouldn’t you want to enjoy all the AMAZING Whiskey Dolls stories?? Jessica Prince NEVER disappoints and makes it clear why she’s a one click author for me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Do yourself a favor and one click this one. You can thank me later.
Ford and Hardin
This was the first book in this series where the female lead didn’t work at Whiskey Dolls. Hardin managed her family’s pizzeria and was friends with the Whiskey Dolls who came into her life when Asher and her brother Owen started dating. She was a fierce single mom who had a secret crush on her brother’s best friend.
Ford was a man of many secrets. He moved to town for a fresh start but had trouble letting people in. He was I filling to lose another person he loved. When he first got to town he fell for Hardin quickly, but just as quickly pushed her away because of his unresolved feelings about his past. Now, five years later, he’s best friends with Hardin’s brother and it seems fate is pushing them together again.
Hardin was dealing with a lot. Her ex had suddenly taken an interest in their daughter, Hazel, at the insistence of his new girlfriend. She was trying to prove herself worthy of taking over the family business. And she was fighting the five year long crush she’d been harboring for Ford.
Ford had some demons to conquer before he could give himself over to Hardin and it created all the angst in this book. I really loved how supportive Owen was when he found out about Ford and Hardin. There was not the usual alpha demand that Ford wasn’t good enough for his sister, he gave his best friend the tools he needed to overcome his demons and get Hardin back.
Overall this was a good read. It was angsty but that made for some super steamy chemistry. I loved Ford, Hardin and Hazel and I just wanted more of the three of them!
I absolutely love Ford, Hardin and Hazel. I don't know what it is about sassy little girls but they are so funny and so cute. Ford comes to town for a new. beginning following a tragedy. I will say that I wish we would have learned more sooner then we did. Hardin had the hots for Ford from the beginning as did Ford but as soon as he saw Hazel he slammed on the brakes. Again would have helped to know why he was being an A**! Hardin is a single mom and doing a banging job despite no help from the deadbeat dad and added stress from her family that makes her feel like she is not good enough. Fast forward Hardin finally decides to start dating again and Ford does not like that. He convinces her to be together and take it one day at a time. He knows he cannot give her more and Hardin is not the not commitment type but she agrees because she really likes Ford. This book is a fast paced read that makes you want more. Hazel's dad comes back into the picture with a "girlfriend" that he says he is going to marry. One plus one definitely does not equal two when it comes to her. Watch how Ford tries to push those feelings down and they won't go anywhere while Hardin is feeling the feels. Jump on the fire truck as they journey to discover what is really at stake. This is a stand alone as Hardin is the first in the series who is only an "honorary doll” but I strongly suggest you read the others as the characters are reappearing.
Book Four in the Whiskey Dolls has arrived!! For all the JP fans out there, I know the wait has been long, but let me tell you, it was SO worth it!! As always, I recommend reading the series in order, even more so with this series, there is too much goodness to miss if you don’t
This review is going to be short as I don’t want to give away spoilers. Hardin is the stuff. She is a down to earth, take no crap, business woman, single Mom, ready to take the world on for her kiddo. Nothing means more to her than her little girl. Hardin is the owner of the local pizza place, and because of this she has her regulars. One of those regulars just happens to include the hot, fire fighter; Ford.
You can practically taste the chemistry between Ford and Hardin, they flirt back and forth, and yes, I squealed, I admit it. While these two play cat and mouse, without actually playing, it comes to light that Ford is Hardin’s brother's best friend, and that means anything between them is a no no.
But what is the saying, sometimes you just can’t stop falling in love.
If you’re not ready to ugly cry, don’t start this book. The emotions are real, the pain is real, you will feel so much for these characters. How the lovely JP does it and doesn’t spend thousands in tissues, I truly have no idea. I can’t wait for more!!!
I adored this book so much! The author has such a great ability to create an incredible love story with lots of swoon, humor, angst, and just the right amount of suspense to keep you flying through the pages. I love all of her books and this one was no different! I also enjoy a story where the characters have known each other for a long time, but haven't acted on their feelings. I love all of that built up angst! This story definitely didn't disappoint in this area.
Ford avoided his feelings for Hardin for years due to his past, but seeing him develop over the story and come to acknowledge his feelings for her was so sweet. His relationship with Hardin's daughter, despite the pain he felt, had me in awe. Hardin is the perfect match for Ford. She is strong and independent and her biggest priority is keeping her daughter safe, happy and loved. Hardin and her daughter are exactly what Ford needed in his life!
This was such an emotional story and I read it in one sitting. I couldn't find out fast enough what was going on in Ford's mind. Not only was this story emotional and angsty, but it was filled with hilarious dialogue that kept me laughing out loud, and it came with the perfect amount of suspense to keep me on the edge and flying through the pages!!!
