What is Nutritional Yeast?

Nutritional yeast (lovingly known as "nooch") is a 100% vegan, low calorie "cheesy" seasoning. It's packed with protein and fortified with nutrients such as vitamins B6 & B12.

What is a "complete" protein?

A protein is considered complete only if it contains enough of all nine essential amino acids the body cannot produce on its own and must be consumed through food. Nutritional yeast is one of the few vegan sources of high-quality complete protein!

Decided to try this to cut calories when wanting to use cheese. This is so perfect. Tastes cheesy and salt, but very low sodium and calories and high in so many other nutrients. Can use it as a seasoning and a lot like cheese - Sprinkle on popcorn for a cheesy tasting popcorn, cook it in meals like a cheese (I mix it in after cooking) can be used in a breading, can be used in soups or stews. Really tasty and versatile!

I don't bother with other brands because this one is so good and provides so much umami and is such a great source of B vitamins especially on a ketogenic diet. It makes salads taste richer and is a great vegan substitute for grated cheese. I'm also loyal to Bragg's apple cider vinegar, just better quality & more reliable than other brands I've tried, plus more richer "mother.". No reason to switch with the nutritional yeast either. Good price with subscribe & save.
