This is the 3rd book in the Broken Crown trilogy featuring the page-turning epic conclusion to Esme and Creed's story what a journey to their HEA. This story begins with Creed and Princess Esme find out some disturbing news having to do with a missing woman who's been killed. Everyone has their own ideas on what happened except that everything isn't adding up especially with what Creed finds in his brothers old office. Esme and Creed have finally decided that they belong together but they want to wait until Creed retires with full honors. The two of them don't think that anyone knows about their relationship but they will soon find out that everyone does and a majority are happy for them. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this intense, suspenseful, page-turning epic conclusion full of twists and turns to see what happens. I'm so glad I stumbled upon T.K. Leigh's books! She has become a favorite author of mine. I absolutely loved this trilogy. I found myself holding my breath, trying to read faster to find out what was going to happen. The actions of some characters were totally unexpected. I also relaxed and smiled through the sweet, easy, good parts of the story. I was so completely invested in these characters that I'm not ready to say goodbye.

Captivating & bittersweet Life and death, truth and treachery. “Protect the crown at all cost.” It does not disappoint. The mind-blowing twists and turns you never saw coming make it unputdownable. It has something for everyone. Regency, family, friendship, romance, mystery and suspense, secrets and lies, heartache and loss. The most heart-wrenching part might be I’m not ready to say goodbye. I truly hope we will see more of these two in the future.
