5.0 out of 5 stars Very handy, functional, cool device.
Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2017
The USB-C to Ethernet Adapter by Anker. First let's start with the product packaging.
The device was packaged very nicely, it reflects simplicity. As it should.
This review was done on the first day after receiving the package.
I might elaborate on it later. I was haste in writing it so expect some mistakes/goofs.

A picture of the product in action. See first 3 images.

This is a day one test of the USB-C -> Ethernet adapter.
No drivers were needed after initial plug-in of the adapter,
both systems are running Windows 10 Creators Update.

The adapter was used on the laptop side, the xps 9560.
The following tools were used to conduct the small experiment.

    The accessories are as follows:

    Anker USB 3.1 Ethernet Adapter
    A 14ft cat6 amazon ethernet cable, black.
    A netgear 8-port switch
    FiOS router.
A tower with a Raptor Drive(WD) && Samsung SSD Evo
A dell xps 9560 PCIe SSD on the other side.

A shot of the connection status:
    Forth Image

Right to it with the tests:

    Transfer status:
    Desktop(Samsung SSD) -> Laptop(PCIe SSD)
I was getting a sustained 113MB/s with transfer.

    Laptop(PCIe SSD) <- Desktop(Raptor Drive)
    I saw a speed of about 111MB/s
    Fifth Image
    Sixth Image
    Seventh Image

    Laptop(PCIe SSD) -> Desktop(Samsung SSD) & Desktop(Raptor Drive) -> Laptop(PCIe SSD)
    I saw a mixture of 120MB/s up to about 186MB/s, a combined UP/DOWN Rx/Tx.
Which puts us over 1GB/s but be aware that it fluctuates a bit.

    9th Image
    10th Image

    Desktop(Samsung SSD) <- Laptop(PCIe SSD) & Laptop(PCIe ssd) <- Desktop(Raptor Drive)
    11th image

And the worst happened when I had transfered back and forth multiple times, the anker was warm to the touch.
I'd say about less than human body temps here, something under 37c(98.6F), I noticed a complete slow down on
one of the transfers. I even saw a 0 bytes/sec on 1 of the 2 Rx/Tx then it would climb out and rise up.
One transfer stalled out, paused for almost two minutes while the other kept going.
    12th Image
    13th Image

A sustained large transfer of an ubuntu VM Disk, its ~273GB in size.
    14th Image

There is a slight drop during the 40min transfer, it dips to about 96MB/s then climbs to 113MB/s.
    Possibly a cool down?
    15th Image

Finally, you should know that after a couple rounds of testing on day one, the device holds up well.
A last test of what appears to be ~100GB except its a mixture of small/large files and folders.
    Expect fluctuations.
