About the Author

A little more than thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. The book is very long. Great details and multiple plots all evolved around a central action. The only reason for seating less than five is the very long section detailing the war scenes. I didn't find that part interesting so scrolled past it.
