These pickups won't let you down they deliver the sound for me.

If you have done your homework, and this is the sound you were looking for, then these pickups will deliver that sound smooth and wildly. I get unbelievable sound out of my Bargain priced used Epiphone Les Paul standard now. I rewired it for Jimmy page style wiring then bought these pickups. I consider it a $1000 guitar now. I think I am going to love this guitar for a long long time. These pickups were worth the price to me. I am not sorry that I bought them, and I am normally a cheap person.

Pickups For Pros

This is my second set. It's just about all I need in a humbucker. Perfect for blues, rock, and more. There's a lot of great pickups out there but lack identity. The PGs are great for SGs/Les Paul's. If your not a blues guy though this may not be for you. They definitely have a legit classic rock quality.

Pearly Gates Nickel Set in PRS

I installed these in my 2021 PRS SE 24 Floyd, that I thought sounded like a cheap toy guitar with the 8515`s. The humbuckers sounded like single coils, and the single coils were useless. Kind of a pricy but worthy upgrade for a budget guitar, overall Cort did a nice job building the guitar, I like it, it just sounded bad. The difference in sound is amazing, huge upgrade, still using the Korea 500k pot that comes in it. Killer sustain, awesome tones, clean or gain, made this a usable guitar, and being a Gibson guy, I think it looks tons better. I was torn with the option of getting a "trembucker" model for the bridge that fits the Floyd better than the standard (it is slightly longer, the screws line up with the strings better, and it comes with a special black trim ring). However, not sure about keeping the guitar, I went with the standard set that I could put in my 60`s Les Paul Standard if I wanted to sell the PRS. Now that it sounds so much better, a much more usable guitar, I think I`ll keep the PRS, I might just order a "trembucker" for the bridge and another neck pickup and put a set in the Les Paul too, since it sounds like people like them better than the burstbuckers. Install was fairly easy,(if your handy and have a pencil type solder iron), make a wiring diagram of the factory wiring to return it to stock in the future if you need too before you unsolder it. PRS uses different colored wires on each pickup, note where each set of pickup wires connect too, and use the wiring diagram from the SD website using the drop down for 1 volume, 3way switch, 1 push/pull tone, that shows the wires from the new pickups. Just use the connection spots on the 3 way switch and the push/pull tone pot that PRS used (they are different from what the SD diagram show). I did unbolt the push/pull tone pot, and pulled it up/out of the cavity to make it easy to solder.
