Endangered: Santa Catalina University Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 315 ratings

I am crazy.

The hospital have said so.

They may have released me back to Santa Catalina Island but my demons are far from done haunting me.

My best friend tells me I just need to take the meds and go to therapy, and I'll get better.

But who are these boys that keep telling me I know them? And why does it feel like Summer isn't telling me the whole truth?

When the voices return and the four men start pushing their way back into my life, I'm powerless to resist.

Maybe I'm not as crazy as everyone wants me to believe.

Endangered is book 2 in this paranormal reverse harem romance series, meaning our FMC will have more than one love interest and won’t have to choose between them. You need to have read book one, Silenced, to understand this one. Endangered ends on a cliff-hanger, but you probably already knew that, didn’t you?

Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Crystal is a full time romance author, after finally leaving education for good (hurrah!). As well as writing, she's raising her savage, half-feral son, her man-child husband, their needy fur baby, and her many houseplants, pet rocks and shiny crystals.

She likes to read dark, twisty, stabby, steamy books, and dream up wicked new cliffhangers to torture her readers with. And if she ever finds herself with mystical ‘free time’, she spends it reading her never ending TBR pile, which she bets you can relate to.

I absolutely love Malia. We are only getting bits and pieces of her past but I can just tell she has had some awful stuff that happened to her. I definitely would love a bigger picture of her past. Cove is definitely a good guy willing to put in the work in to help Malia. I loved the changes with Bodhi in this book and just wanted more of him. I also have some theories that I can’t wait to figure out if I’m right! I’m so excited for the next book!!!

Ahh.... I'm not sure how to feel about this one. I loved book one but I just like book 2. I don't think there was enough time/pov from each of the guys in this one. I really hate what's happened with Malia-Tarni. Her need to just bolt at the most inopportune times is crazy. I really hope she gets all of her memories back asap. I can't wait to see how things unfold in book 3. I want to see Malia become a strong fmc. I don't know how or what to feel about her bf Summer. I'm on the fence with that girl and the way she blindly follows her parents demands. I'm hoping they were actually trying to be good guardians to Malia.

This second book has me more confused then anything. It was like the first book was going one way, but the author decided that the story is going some other way sort of in the second book. I’m not sure. The first book had a smooth flow. The second book left me feeling jerked around. The first book had 4 guys who are the queens guards looking for “the star”. This book had 2 of the 4 in it and pretty much left out the other 2 and now kind of added another one. Not sure what’s going on.

Oh my...so book two picks up without missing a beat and let me tell you...hold on because the mystery going on around our girl just keeps getting more bizarre. This book will draw you in and before you know it there's no more pages.
And her bestie? Jury still out
I can't wait to see what happens next

I’m loving this but I feel like I’m missing part of the story. I need more background on these characters, I need to know more about Malia-Tarni’s parents, and is she the Queen!

I’m happy the relationships got kicked up a notch.
Summer royally p*ssed me off.

Can’t wait to see what happens next!!

The continuation of Malia-Tarni amazing story! This book completely captured me from the very first page! I especially loved all the moments between Malia-Tarni, Vance, Reed Bhodi ,and Cove. I can't wait for the next book! So freaking good!!

Oh man what a ride! I can’t wait for the next book! The suspense is killing me. When will we figure out who or what she is?!?!
Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2022
Malia is not the normal strong heroine at all. The secrets surrounding her are many. Who should she trust? Why does she keep running away? Why do her guys not protect her better? Summer does not seem to know what is going on at all. Her way of protecting her friend is to listen to her parents and keep her heavily medicated. Just wrong!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I need more!!!!

Omg I need more asap. Not much was really answered and is love a slightly longer book with a little more depth. I did read a review which said it was bad and all focused on the men. I don't agree with this, I thought it was mostly focused on mai and what happened at the end of book one. It's an easy read, that flows nicely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Read back-to-back with the first one

I love Crystal North! I love the way that she writes. I love the characters and worlds that she builds. That said - this one REALLY needs to be read straight after the first one.
Book 1 introduces the characters, book 2 focuses in on Malia (and it’s heart breaking what she’s going through). The other main characters fade into the background a bit. Not a lot of relationship building in this book (which I really noticed because it’s something Crystal does SO well, not having it as a focus kinda sucked) but a lot of “world building”. I’m excited to see where this series goes. And the ending….???!!! I’ve heard there is a support group on Facebook… I may need to join 😁

4.0 out of 5 stars Four stars
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 5, 2024
Stars given on level of engagement;

5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.

4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.

3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.

1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged.

As the story continues, we get some more background on MT and the guys as well as a bit more action. Very fast read, only needed a couple of hours to finish it. Major cliffhanger again! Looking forward to part three.
