UPDATE 12/14/23 - Returned this cooker for a crockpot express again. This never cooked rice properly, and no matter what we did, it stuck to the pan and left marks we couldn’t scrub off. I tried so many times to pressure cook the rice and it just wasn’t happening. For that reason we returned it. Maybe it will work good for others but it’s a huge disappointment as I really loved how easy it was to use (with the settings and clear display). I am docking a star for the issues with the pan and how food sticks no matter what you do.This pressure cooker is a replacement to my old express crockpot that stopped working. It’s much larger in size so I can make more food. I love how simple and easy it is to read the display and know what to do. I feel the speed is about right compared to others, the seal is great and I haven’t had any leakage. No burning or foul smells. It is an adjustment though as it cooks slightly different so I have to get some practice in with meals to get the timing and ingredients down right! This was NOT purchased via Vine, this was an out of pocket purchase. This is my honest review.

If you like to cook at home, Instapot is a must-have for certain meals. The pressure cooker saves hours of cooking time, and the design makes it very easy to use. Pot roast, ribs, marrow bones are done in minutes, not hours.
We do not find the preprogrammed setting useful, but it is easy enough to set the time and temp you need.

Easy to use, Easy to read and dial just the right time and pressure for your reciepes. the inside pot stays stationary, does not move around. the controls on the outside make it easy to display and read when it is ready to open the pot lid after the steam release. quiet steam vent and i love that the pressure button is on top away from vent. i can honestly see this being used frequently in my kitchen! Love all the updated and new features. this was a good investment!

makes cooking large meat very easy. but I really don't need the extra pre-set functions. the simpler the better in my opinion. I heard this pot is so great and people don't need to replace it very often, to the point that the original company went to bankruptcy. sad story, but great product!

This instant pot is thinner in metals than my older one. To reheat food, it takes longer and doesn’t keep the heat in as well as the older models. The pot doesn’t have handles…. Such a shame. So now to take the pot out after cooking, pot holders are required.
Otherwise, it works fine. They did improve the valve release.

It is only day 1 with the Duo Plus but so far I am very happy with it. I tried a Ninja Foodie but it tripped my circuit breaker every five minutes so I returned it. I also did not like the fact that the lid was attached and would be very hard to clean. The Ninja was extremely heavy! I did love the lit up display.

I have an old instant pot but I had to find my reading glasses and turn on bright lights to use the settings.
Enter the Duo Pot with it's brightly lit easy to read display! And a knob to turn instead of poking the screen a multitude of times to change a setting. It also has preset buttons. The lid is extremely easy to clean.

It came with a stainless inner pot instead of the usual teflon pot as in the Ninja Foodie. I don't use those so this saved me having to buy a stainless steel pot. After cooking beans, the teflon is stained and almost impossible to clean. I can use steel wool in the stainless pot and make it look new.

Another great feature that the Ninja does not have, is the 'button' to release the steam located away from the steam vent. Gotta love that! No more accidentally forgetting to turn the steam vent into the correct position.. that same switch locks in the correct place. The steam release was very quiet!

For frying I bought a $29 air fryer lid which you can find on Amazon ..1829 Carl Schmidt Sohn Air Fryer Lid For Pressure Cooker 6 Quart & 8 Quart With 8 Optional Presets And Led Touchscreen

I am assuming this new IP will last a long time since my old IP is still working fine after many years.
I recommend this especially for 'beginners' because of the step by step instructions on the screen as well as the steam 'button' which makes it more safe.

The one I bought was the newer version. Very reliable, safer with an improved steam reliever that you won’t get burnt by the hot steam. There are hundreds of different combinations you can use for all kinds of food cooking. Best of all, after you set it up with your choice of cooking, you don’t have to worry about it until you are ready to eat. Very convenient. I have used it for about two months, hundreds per cent satisfied.

I received the error "turn to lock." I've tried unlocking and locking the lid, and I've tried taking the sealing ring off and putting it back on. I called customer service, and they asked me the date I purchased I have had it for just 1 year, and I was told that I'm out of warranty and I have to buy a new one. before you buy, research the error. You will see a lot of people complaining about the same error, and there's a replacement part you can buy. basically, it's useless. "I'm experiencing an error message that says "turn to lock" on my device. Despite trying various solutions like unlocking and locking the lid, taking the sealing ring off, and putting it back on, the issue persists. I reached out to customer service and was informed that the device needs to be replaced. They also asked when I purchased it, and unfortunately, it has been just over a year, meaning it's out of warranty. I was told that I needed to buy a new device, which was disheartening. Upon researching the error, I discovered that many people have complained about the same issue, and there is NO replacement part available. It seems like my only option right now is to buy a new device, which is quite frustrating."
