Aaaaand I'm out!! This is the first book that was on Read Me Romance that I could not finish. I just did not get the animosity between Cat and Brixton. It was waaaaaay over the top. What happened to cause it was not that dramatic. And todays episode?? a big ol' NOPE from me.

I extremely disliked the heroine in this. She treated the hero like dirt and then wondered why he was being mean to her. There was no coming back from that.

I would've enjoyed Roping the Cowboy more if Katarina's horrid scheming and unnecessary hatred towards Braxton wasn't so excessive. She couldn't comprehend why Braxton expressed animosity towards her, retaliating her mischievous pranks with some of his own. No one is that dense...

⭐️ 4 "Pranks" Stars ⭐️
Roping the Cowboy was such a light and funny read! I’ve loved the Bishop Brothers Series so much and to return in this world at the Circle B Ranch was amazing.
This time it’s the story of Kat and Braxton; one charged with tension! After a one-night stand and miscommunication their relationship is difficult and a rivalry starts with every occasion to prank each other. I enjoyed their chemistry and the sparks flying whenever they’re together. Yes, Braxton is cocky but also charming and sweet! Kat is a spitfire and a perfect match to the cowboy. I enjoyed the progression of their romance toward something so beautiful! The fact some of the characters from previous novels are present in the story made it even more interesting.
Kennedy Fox seized my whole attention with this short, irresistible read! I want more of these stories set at the ranch!

SUPER FAST REVIEW:
So this isn’t terrible but I definitely didn’t like it. It’s very cheesy, predictable and full of stupid shit jokes... which is IMO the most overrated, 98% of the time unfunny type of joke.
Don’t get me wrong there are a few good moments (my favorite being when ), there’s a bit of sexy romance and I’d even say the characters are slightly interesting... but that wasn’t enough to save it IMO.
Overall, it’s not terrible but it’s stupid.

I listened to the audio version of Roping the Cowboy when it originally came out on the Read Me Romance Podcast but decided to pick up the ebook too because it had a few more chapters added and an extended epilogue. This is a spin off of the Bishop Brother Series which I love and adore so much so of course I couldn’t wait for more of them. Braxton is a new ranch hand and Katarina works at a bakery in town and has just started selling her baked goods at the Bishop’s B&B. Kat and Braxton were hilarious. A total hate to love story with ridiculous antics and scheming. It bordered on immature at times but I still loved it and their chemistry and connection was addicting. I can’t wait for Riley’s story next in Hitching the Cowboy.

I love everything that circles around Bishops and their ranch. And Roping the Cowboy is a short novella that’s connected to this incredible series. It’s a quick and funny read that will make you blush!
There’s a thin line between love and hate… Espiecially when you hurt someone’s feelings after incredible night of passion. And that’s exactly what happened between Kat and Braxton. Since then they are unofficial enemies, throwing insults at each other and making one another miserable. But resentment aside, there’s still the same electryfing chemistry that connected them in the first place. Which emotion will win? Anger or lust?
I loved this story. The banter between Braxton and Kat was hilarious and their pranks (although mean) made me laugh. I knew that they’ll end up bumping uglies. I mean, come on! I was feeling the sexual tension myself, just from reading! I was happy to see that they’re compatible not only in the bedroom, but on a daily basis too. They only needed to stop the immature fights and face their feelings. I’m only disappointed that this story was so short. I would love to read more about this couple. Nonetheless, I highly recommend!

Audio read on RMR
It was free to listen to this and I completely regret ever second I wasted on it. This Hero was one of the most unlikeable Hero’s I’ve read in a long time. To put it plainly...he’s a top notch asshole with no redeemable qualities.
There is NO way on Gods green earth that I believe his love for the heroine. Up until chapter 8 of 10 hes dancing and feeling up OW - more than one at a time. He’s kissing them, leading them on, planning on screwing them.
The heroine was kinda likable BUT she became a complete pushover and let him mess with her business (he put piles of shit outside of her bakery...which resulted in a shit smell...at a BAKERY! Think about that for a min). He consistently made fun of her food and called her a rich bitch....HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW HER! He was just pissed because she told him to bounce after their ONS.
This wasn’t a hate to love romance...he had no love for her and she became a hormonal hot mess who focused on how hot he was...UGH! Save me the drama!

I listened to this book as an audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast. I did not enjoy this one at all. Definitely my least favorite. The couple has a one night stand that is barely described. Then the h kicks the H out afterwards and then they hate each other after that. They spent the entire book hating each other and doing gross pranks on each other (putting laxative in his muffins, covering her bakery lawn with animal excrement, etc.). They did not act like they liked each other at all, even at the end when they put aside their pranks and get together. They were mean to each other. I never felt like they liked each other at all and definitely did not buy into love between them or an HEA. Also, I didn't love the fake country accents of the narrators. This was just not good for me at all.

Your typical Kennedy Fox book filled with heat, hates of passion and lots of love. It was so good to be back at the Bishop Ranch and get to see most of the other KF characters who live in Texas.
Braxton and Kat sure had fire in and outside the bedroom. Their story was short yes but fun as hell and Braxton wow, I never thought that man would be the type to get heartbroken but he sure did surprise me.
Kat well she took things to the extreme which I didn't like but it made things fun and Braxton sure didn't seem to mind much and sure liked to get payback. It made things interesting and well different. I didn't really get why she acted the way she did on the night they met and then didn't set things straight when they first saw each other again... things would have been so much easier but I guessed they wouldn't have been half as fun and well we all enjoy a little bit of fun. The bonus content was something I was super excited for and although I loved it, I'm kind of disappointed that it was so short, I wanted and craved more and I think these two deserved it too.
Roping the Cowboy was a fun and cute ride that will leave your mouth watering for more and for cupcakes! I want more of these two and more of the whole Circle B Ranch crew. I cannot wait to get my hands on more of these cowboys. I just really loving being in this fictional place Kennedy Fox created, a place that feels real when my head is emerged withing these pages.

Kat and Braxton meet when Kat‘s online date, stands her up. They hit it off and have a fun evening, which lands up being one steamy passionate night. When Braxton wakes, he is given his marching orders and this does not bode well for him, as he thought they had a connection. Kat is a baker and she supplies the Bishops B&B with her glutton free products and Braxton works on the Bishops farm. Their paths cross. And so begins the verbal jabs at one another. Eventually, each tries to outdo one another with some stupid but funny pranks, until they realize there is more going on. Taking a chance, can Kat and Braxton have their HEA? Overall, a fun light read. I would have liked to have understood why Kat objected to taking things further with Braxton in the beginning. This was a bit fluffed over and never really made much sense. The rich spoilt girl was never really ironed out either, the author hints at the reputation, but in a few sentences, we surmise she is not spoilt. While this was fast-paced and a light-hearted read, there were elements of the story that could have been done with a bit more. But overall, a light and easy read.

thanks Read me Romance! This was my first intro to Kennedy Fox, even though I have several on my TBR list LOL I loved the writing style. Braxton was hot (and whoever the guy reading his part was made him even hotter). Kat wasn't my favorite, but that's on me, but the one reading her part was great! Loved her accent.

This was okay, but nothing really draws you in. Braxton and Kat hookup for one night. She rudely kicks him out the next morning. They have mutual friends and she delivers muffins daily to their Ranch where H works. They play the game where they are both mutually mean to one another. After some mean pranks they hook up again, fall in Love and get their HEA.

This one really didn't work for me. Their initial hostility felt waaaaaaaay overblown, the pranks were awful, and I just didn't buy their HEA. I almost stopped listening after the muffin...not actually sure why I didn't....

Que historia más tierna, divertida y romántica, y absolutamente qué manera de desperdiciarla, siento que pudo haber sido una historia un poco más larga y ser aún mejor, para mí lo corta que fue no le ayudó para nada, pero eso no quiere decir que no la haya disfrutado o que haya sido algo malo, porque no lo fue.

Hola, esta es la primera vez que leo a Kennedy Fox, les tenía muchas ganas a estas autoras porque veía que podrían ser mi tipo de favoritas y si, lo compruebo con esta historia, me han encantado!

Esta historia comienza seis meses atrás con Kat y Braxton teniendo una loca noche de sexo, que solo queda en eso, una noche. Kat estaba muy borracha y se excusa en esto para echar a Braxton de su casa a la mañana siguiente, pero el problema es que viven en un pueblo pequeño y tienen que verse seguido a pesar de que antes ni siquiera se habían conocido.

Con el pasar del tiempo, Braxton sigue pensando en esa noche, para él significo algo más y le dolió que Kat lo echara. Además, las veces que se han visto ella lo ignora, y eso lo irrita. Hasta que luego de algunas discusiones verbales intensas, los dos enfurecen y Kat toma la decisión de vengarse por sus estúpidos comentarios.

Aquí inicia una batalla corta, pero muy graciosa en donde los dos van a hacerse bromas pesadas que fueron de mis partes favoritas, es algo muy genial y muy gracioso. Solté más de una carcajada son estas escenas en mi mente fueron para morir de risa. Pero bueno, de todo este fuego sale algo bueno y es que por fin se dan cuenta de sus sentimientos e inician por fin su relación!

Kat es una pastelera y Braxton un vaquero, conocemos un poco de sus día a día en lo que inician su relación, están hechos el uno para el otro y rápidamente encuentran sus felices para siempre. La parte del romance me gustó mucho porque fue muy real, por lo menos yo lo sentí así, y que podría ocurrir en cualquier momento. Y no se diga de las escenas calientes, también fueron excelentes.

Kennedy Fox does it again with this short, fun little novella that keeps the Bishop world alive.
I loved watching Braxton and Kat. They have a fun chemistry and the pranking is extreme but all in fun humor. She gets him good! I love that in a women, if you don't have balls, then get off the court, right?
It is a short, fast-paced, fun read that gave us the Bishops again, I do miss this world. It was fun seeing snippets of John and Jackson, even Colton and Presley! Mama Bishop is always fun too.
My only complaint, it was too short. It felt a little rushed but that's only because it is a novella, it is suppose to be short... But at the same time, I am use to Bishop novels being nearly 500 pages long and this was not. It felt weird but at the same time, I loved the chance to be in this world again. When you are invested in a world like this, you take what you can get, even if it's novellas. I would love to see all the Bishops in one story. We will see, that is up to the foxy ladies. But I still enjoyed this fun, little story. Who knows, maybe we'll get a novella of Colton and Presley's wedding! #FingersCrossed

From a hot as hell on night stand to insta-enemies, Braxton & Kat might have chemistry - hence their ONS - but after the big O, they’re are both(*), well, kinda big A’s. As in assholes.
With all the shit they pull (pun intended) they’re also naturally perfect for one another.
(*) I struggled to like/relate to Kat as I found her (at times) to be entitled, childish & bratty - but to be fair I know that’s on me and on my preferred heroine type, not the story.

Okay, so I am being generous with my rating because this was really just a little better than an okay read for me which would be 2 stars. I found the pranks rather childish but I did enjoy the chemistry between Kat & Braxton.
This is my first read by Kennedy Fox although I do have a about a dozen of their books on my TBR shelf I am hoping this is not their typical style and they wrote this one like this because it's not only a novella but a prequel....only time will tell.

Roping the Cowboy wont disappoint you, it’s full of witty come back and what’s revenge in love, right?! It’s funny, tender and sweet!
You’ll grow to love Kat and Braxton, how creative the two and too stubborn to admit and really feel what they have binds them together!

Braxton's 'goods' can be a tad bit intimidating for his girl, "...he has one of those sexy V’s that leads straight to the full package. My eyes go wide, and he notices. “It doesn’t bite,” he tells me." The man can be just so playful, "I chuckle. “I’ll see you tonight. Don’t worry, I’ll miss you until then.” Wrapping my hand around her waist, I palm her * ** and squeeze." I liked this book, I liked Braxton.

I loved it!!! Braxton & Kat will keep you laughing. The pranks is what really kept it going. The love hate they have. The chemistry is of the charts. This was a great book for the mood I was in.
