Royal, Reimagined FM Synthesis
Taking up the mantle of its predecessor, Blue III sees renowned engineer Rob Papen elevate his lauded approach to FM synthesis with an arsenal of sonic sculpting tools. Blue III is outfitted with Rob’s innovative Cross-Fusion Synthesis, a groundbreaking combination of subtractive and FM synthesis that utilizes a powerful, flexible X/Y pad for inventive sound design. Over 5,000 presets form the bedrock of aural exploration afforded by this plug-in, co-developed by Rob in collaboration with numerous industry veterans. Load up to six oscillators at once, with a suite of EQ, waveshape, sub-oscillator parameters, and more, all individually tweakable. An interface overhaul makes it easier than ever to navigate the sonic depths of Blue III’s extensive filters, arpeggiator, FX, sequencer, and sample-management tools. From traditional FM to cutting-edge sounds, Sweetwater’s synthesists have deemed Blue III a worthy heir to Rob Papen’s innovative series of plug-in synths.
