one morning when I woke up, I turned on my piano and two of the black keys weren’t working. By this time I was really upset because I’ve only had it for a month and I never had done any physical damage to it, so I was really confused. I turned it off and on, and did a hard reset by pressing the song bank button and the number one button, and the two black keys still didn’t work. The only time they work is if you press them down extremely hard...practically bang them down.
I’m not saying I don’t recommend the piano, because they’re are plenty of wonderful reviews about it, but I’m just disappointed that I have to go through the hassle of returning it.
If you do get this piano please buy the Square Trade musical instrument warranty! It’s so cheap and definitely worth it, because you never know what could happen. I will update you about it once I return the piano.
UPDATE:
I ended up getting sent a brand new piano! There were no questions asked! I’m so thankful I did buy a warranty. It’s definitely a must. I think the piano before just had a defect. So far I’ve had this piano for over a year now. The quality is amazing, especially for the price. It doesn’t sound cheap either! There’s so many cool things, effects, and even learning tools with on this piano. I would say that if you’re looking for a piano, go with this one! You won’t regret it!
I also purchased a stand and sustain pedal, and still have less than $250 invested.
The on board multi track recorder and all of the automation features will help even those who are musically challenged (like me) make great music. Other keyboards that sound this good and have similar features cost much more, so I strongly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a great musical instrument at a great price!
Tones are good. Not perfect, but for the price, you can't beat the number of them.
The effects are pretty good too, but the best one has to be the "large hall" effect.. It sounds super realistic and adds a nice tone to the piano.
Overall, really good value!!!
Pros:
Surprisingly lightweight for it's size
Semi-weighted keys
Good playability and feel
Cons:
Some sounds are "cheesy" or repetitive
Has USB 1 to USB 2 midi port (mostly a personal problem, but an easy fix.
