AI-generated from the text of customer reviews
Customers like the noise level of the electronic component fan. They mention that it has no motor noise, is dead silent at low RPM, and makes a chirping noise above 600 RPM. The fan itself makes no sound other than the air it's moving, which sounds nice and non invasive.
"...There's literally no motor noise due to Magnetic Levitation, and the RPM curve via PWM is smoothest I've seen yet...." Read more

Customers like the quality of the fan. For example, they mention it's well-made, has a cool bright light, and is over-engineered. Some say the fans are authentic.

This fan is rated for something like 2400rpm, right? I easily get 2600+. I've been keeping it on full speed since I installed it and the only drawback for that is that at full speed, there is a whirring/whining noise. If you like having a room fan, it's not so bad. If you've ever had a PS4 pull a jet engine on you, it's pretty similar. With a headset on it really isn't noticeable and I think it honestly moves more air than my room fan does... But I think at around 80% is where the noise kicks in. And for as much work as this fan does, I'm honestly not going to be picky. It might even actually choke the airflow in your case if you put it at the back without having strong enough front/top fans or a case with good enough airflow. Which is why I'm now buying another 6 of these.
That being said, I had read a review that said something about the screws and installing this fan was going to be a pain. So I was prepared for that. And he was absolutely correct. The holes for the screws aren't threaded. So you WILL get some resistance and you WILL get some plastic shavings. I'm a little concerned that at some point, if you adjust it a lot, it will eventually become stripped on the actual fan casing. And as a side note, installing it DID chip the paint on my case. I have a Cooler Master Masterbox TD500 Mesh White and as it was pretty cheap, I wasn't expecting the greatest quality (it came to me with a bad front panel), but with the fan installed securely and not forcing the screws, it still chipped it. So there's that.
Also, the cord to connect the fan to your controller or motherboard isn't the longest. It was a bit difficult for me to connect mine and not have a giant cord running right across my GPU and CPU fan.
However, you will most likely fall in love with this fan and proceed to replace all of your fans with it. It is beautiful and a workhorse. You will be disappointed in every other fan you come across because they don't have the same air movement or style. 9/10, would attempt to build an airplane with a couple thousand of these.

I initially ordered the Corsair SP120 Performance Editions, but when placed horizontally on the radiator it would emit a rattling sound which really got on my nerves. So I returned them back to Amazon and ordered the newer Gentle Typhoon PWM editions to only find out the motor sound was worse than ever even on low RPM.
At this point I was just frustrated, so even though the ML series was quite new, was costly, and didn't have as much reviews, I decided to give them a try, and I think these are the best fans I've heard so far. There's literally no motor noise due to Magnetic Levitation, and the RPM curve via PWM is smoothest I've seen yet.
Keep in mind that these fans MUST BE controlled via PWM (either a controller, or from your motherboard PWM header). Not using PWM will run these at full speed, which will be quite loud. Controlling these via DC can work, but is not recommended as the range, and RPM curve will not be as smooth, which can produce unwanted noise.
Pros:
- Excellent RPM/noise curve
- Barely audible at lower RPM
- Build quality is superb
- Flat, sleeved cables
- Rubber on the contact points to reduce vibrations
- Looks sleek aesthetically
- Pushes more air at lower noise levels
- 5 year warranty from a company I consider the best at customer service and warranty replacement
Cons:
- Expensive. Although there are fans that perform better at lower cost (though at the cost of noise), I feel that it's totally worth it if you're sensitive to the motor noise like I am.
