    Hildred Billings is a Japanese and Religious Studies graduate who has spent her entire life knowing she would write for a living someday. She has lived in Japan a total of four times in four different locations, from the heights of the Japanese alps to the hectic Tokyo suburbs, with a life in Shikoku somewhere in there too. When she’s not writing, however, she spends most of her time talking about Asian pop music, cats, and bad 80’s fantasy movies with anyone who will listen…or not.

    Her writing centers around themes of redemption, sexuality, and death, sometimes all at once. Although she enjoys writing in the genre of fantasy the most, she strives to show as much reality as possible through her characters and situations, since she’s a furious realist herself.

Wow. This is a story that really grabs you and makes you want to read it in one day. Each character is independent by working long days and, have no time to be together and if they do its just a quickie They are trying to rekindle their marriage but figuring out each other again after being together for fifteen years is quite the feat. This is one of my favorite books now by Ms. Billings and Ms. Dane this is well worth the time to read

Are the sordid stories that were mentioned in this story available? Many couples allow their attorneys to fix the problem of drifting. This was an interesting read and well written story about drifting emotionally from one another and how to build those loves back together.

Not sure how HB/CZ does it, but yet again her characters pull me in until I feel like I AM them. HB writes great fiction~Yes, there’s a steamy and super fun theme, and yet it’s also about women struggling to be seen and valued. It’s the human condition, and I so appreciate the beautiful writing and especially the hilarious and captivating internal dialogue!

This book has everything I’ve come to expect from Billings - steamy, off the charts scenes that leave one’s imagination running wild. I love it! But what I love even more is the character development and relationship growth. I can completely identify with Rhea and I couldn’t help but cheer Paige on when she put the work into understanding her partner. I also enjoyed the visit back to Hellfire.
