The new firmware of M11 is fixed the issue where the playback would fail in the new version of Amazon Music;
Added Google Play framework on the new firmware for M11PRO/M11
How to install a third-party app to the M11
In Android mode, there are 2 methods to install apps
A. Obtaining and installing apps from the "FiiO Marketplace" .FiiO has collected popular music and utility apps in use worldwide and put them in the "FiiO Marketplace" shortcut on the M11's android home screen. You may choose and install apps from this site easily, with ease of mind.
B.If you cannot find the applications what you need in "FiiO Marketplace" ,you can try to download and install some Third-Pary app marketplaces such as APKPure from "FiiO Marketplace" .and then install the apps you need on M11.
1. How to switch between bottom navigation bar and gesture control on the M11? And how to use the gesture control?
A: You can go to Settings -> General -> Navigation control to switch between the bottom navigation bar and gesture control.
The gesture controls are as below:
Return to Previous Menu: swipe from the lower left or lower right edge of the of the screen to the center;
Return Home: swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen;
Switch to Recent Tasks: swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and hold;

2. How can I access the storage/SD card after connecting the M11 to the computer?
A: M11 uses the MTP protocol and couldn't be properly recognized until the MTP driver installed. Connect M11 to computer, open the disk named "FiiO MTP Driver"; Then, for Windows computers, copy the "SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_1590.exe" file in the folder "Windows" to a local folder on the computer (such as the desktop) and double click to install it; For Mac computers, install the driver stored under the folder "Mac\OS MTP Client". 4. Why I cannot connect my Bluetooth headphone to the M11?
A: When using the Bluetooth headphone with the M11 for the first time, you need pair the two devices. Please make sure that the Bluetooth headphone is in pairing mode (just like the very first time that you use the Bluetooth headphone with other devices). When the Bluetooth headphone is in pairing mode, turn on Bluetooth on the M11 and search for the headphone to connect.
5. What should I do if there no sound when playing on third-party music app and using USB Audio output?
A: You may try to set the 'USB output mode' in FiiO Music settings to OFF, or close FiiO Music, unplug & replug the USB DAC device, then start playing again.
6. What should I do if the system crashes or freezes?
A: Please hold the power button and play button for around 10 seconds to force a reboot. If that doesn't work, let us know

Pros:
- Excellent value
- Very fast UI, boot, app performance
- Amazing Bluetooth features and connectivity all around
- Sounds incredible
- All to DSD option is interesting.
Cons:
- Battery life is ok but not great.
- Gets pretty hot
- forward / backward button could use some kind of tactile separation, especially given the size
I am coming from using a Fiio x5 III, which I really do like but it was slower than dirt in android mode and only passable in its dedicated player mode. This feels like basically a direct and substantial upgrade from that device. It is a bit bigger, heavier, has a nicer screen, but overall very similar. There is no option for dual 3.5mm output here since there's a 2.5mm balanced, a 4.4mm balanced, and a multipurpose 3.5mm jack. It also uses USB 3.0 type C which is nice. Still 2 micro-USB slots. I have a 512GB card in one of them and may or may not ever need the other. It definitely can charge faster but I notice it goes through battery pretty quickly and gets quite warm, especially if you enable the 'All to DSD' option.
A moment on that option since I haven't seen many reviews to date actually talk much about it. There is something interesting there which seems like a sort of DSP on top of just a simple conversion (like Sony DSEE HX or something). On high-res files I don't notice much difference. I can tell they're slightly different back to back but I can't put my finger on what that is and I don't think I prefer one over the other there. The difference comes when playing some of my older mp3 collection that were ripped in the 128hz/16bit style. There it seems just a lot fuller / richer and the highs seem almost restored in a curious style instead of flat and dead high-hats or nuances of female vocals such as Sarah Brightman. It is a bit noticeable for some youtube music videos as well. For everything else, including Audible playback, or Spotify streamed tracks it doesn't really seem to do much. My ear hears something but again, I just can't put my finger on it and I can't claim to prefer one over the other in that case. It does, however, make the device run hotter and eat up battery.
I love being able to install Spotify to keep up with family and Audible for being bored, though.
It does have 6 digital filter selections and, to be honest, while I've read a lot on the differences (Archimago's Musings has a good couple of articles talking about them generally). I can't really tell if there's a difference there. *shrug*. I guess it's nice to have a choice?
I would love to be able to tap on the screen or raise the device and have it turn on the display or unlock but the only option is that little power button on top. I don't know if the others are options given the hardware but I'd hope they are features added eventually.
As far as Bluetooth goes, it has nice LDAC and AptX HD options. So far, both work great. There's no point to the 'All to DSD' option for this so definitely turn it off if you're using bluetooth. I don't know why if it even attempts to do anything at that point since the signal path wouldn't make much sense but it does still seem to use battery.
I also wish it did DSD512 files, not because I can hear a difference but because I have some and they won't play... Yeah, my life is THAT hard...
The other cool thing I do with it is to use it as a bluetooth receiver. I can pair it to my Sony TV and pop in some headphones plugged into it and kick back and watch Netflix in peace. Really cool option. Yeah, there's a bunch of other options for that out there, too but it's nice to just have right there for some headphones, I guess.
I have used this with the following headphones and it had no real difficulty driving any of them. No background noise, just dead quiet connection -
- Sennheiser HD 650 - Ok, this could use slightly more power but that's usually the case. Still amazingly comfortable and a great way to listen and get a bit of bass.
- Fostex T50RP Mk3 - I thought these would be a challenge for it but they sound clean and seem to be very clean here.
- Campfire Andromeda - My favorite for this one, just an excellent pairing, IMO. I like the balanced connection and litz wire best, it seems to have a touch more punch.
- Campfire Vega - I like the bass these get on the Fiio M11, also better on the balanced connection but the Andromeda like this thing better.
Via Bluetooth - Audeze iSine20 (AptX HD) - I mean, it's basically just a player at this point but the bluetooth connection is strong and it works well.
Via Bluetooth - Sony WH1000XM3 (LDAC) - Similar to the above but it works really well and it's nice to have the LDAC option which has been very stable.
Also works nicely in my car via the Aux input but it's useful to remember to switch the functionality of the 3.5mm jack in the pull down settings from headphones to aux.
Overall, I love this device and am definitely glad I made the upgrade.
TL;DR is that I LOVE both the FH7s and M11, I mean WOW! I have several other Fiio products, and they have always been excellent "for the money", but with the FH7s and the M11, you can replace the "for the money" part with "period, for any price". Build quality competes with any of my other IEMs or DAPs (actually, with the FH7s, I think the build quality and included accessories beat my other IEMs!).
The features of the M11 DAP is ALL THINGS, which very handily beat all of my other DAPs. Some of my better ones are pictured for size comparison's sake, including the Sony ZX1, AK100, AK240, and iPod 160, where all but one of them cost at least 2 times more than the M11, and the M11 KICKS THEIR A** HANDILY. I won't review sound as it is so subjective other than to say it sounds fantastic and I hear nothing wrong out of this DAP with any of my IEMs (also pictured). Given the inclusion of an EQ, if you hear something you don't like with your particular paired headphones... just tweak it!
Regarding the FH7s, I have included a pic comparing their size to some other common flagship IEMs(Roxanne Universal First Gen, UERMs, and Audeze iSine20s) in my FH7 review. Comparing all of these IEMs, if I could only pick one pair, it would be the FH7s, no question. It isn't that they sound better as all of these IEMs sound great, they are all just different. It is that they sound fantastic with any music I tried with them (rock, industrial, classical, metal, grunge, pop, rap, R&B, house/trance, techno, folk, jazz, vocal focused, and more) combined with the fact that their included accessories are insane, they are more comfortable and easier to wear than any of my other IEMs, (mainly because of how light they are relative to my other pairs combined with their size and the included accessories allowing for customization), and if anything happens to them, I can replace them for much less $$ than any of my other IEMs.
As I said in the beginning, I LOVE this pairing of IEMs and DAP, it would be great if Fiio sold/packaged them together with some kind of custom case that accommodated both the player and the IEMs with the materials and construction of the hard case that comes with the IEMs(which is very nice BTW, I like it better than the metal cases that my other IEMs come in as those metal cases don't respect items around them, this one does the same job but won't scratch up other stuff in the process). That way both could be put in one case, be well protected, and that case could be thrown in a backpack or luggage no problem, and everything you need is right there in one case when it is time to fish them out. These things belong together, and I have no hesitation in recommending both of them!! They get ALL THE STARS :).

These things belong together, and I have no hesitation in recommending both of them!! They get ALL THE STARS :).

I’m convinced DAP’s are the way to go if anyone wants to hear proper audio quality. Forget the Chord Mojo’s, Audioquest Black/Red etc..
I’m honestly so happy and it’s very rare i get satisfied in this audio/audiophile gear segment.
Thank you Fiio!

CONTRA:
- kein ‚HOLD‘ Schalter
