Sherryl grew up in San Diego, California, as the youngest of three.

Working for the State of California, at the Department of Justice, taught her the inner workings of law enforcement. The influence of law enforcement situations can be felt heavily in the WeHo and Midknight Blue series. She married her husband and had two children around this time, as she continued writing and attempted to get published. Following repeated rejections from agents, she began to give up.

Always the romantic, Sherryl began making up stories as a teenager, but the writing increased most fervently after marrying her wife, Tirzah! Together they decided to self-publish the first few books in the WeHo series, before catching the eye of the innovative fiction publisher, Vulpine Press. The publisher has begun publishing her earlier romance novels.

Oh, my-----I absolutely loved Kai. She would be every woman's dream but she only had eyes for Finley. They had instant chemistry and it was just a beautiful love story. It is always good catching up with some of the ladies from the previous books. If you are looking for a romantic feel good book with just a little drama thrown in for balance then this is the perfect book. While this is a stand alone I am so happy that I have read all the previous WeHo books so that I know the back stories. Thank you so much to the author for continuing on with this series. You have done it again with a real winner!

I'm able to visualize the physiques of the author's characters; especially the 'bois'. A well written story about family and how family influences relationships. Finley had some issues and Kai's military commander was a real bad person, sadisticly cruel, for Kai. The author makes me look for pictures of the dogs in this book. As the others, well written and exciting. Know I've been binging this series and I've yet to be disappointed. The setup at the end of each book introduces new characters and a new story.

Intertwined in this story are the characters that I have grown to know and love just as my own Sisters in the Armed Forces. Once again this story follows on from the previous one. Both previous and new characters are real and engaging. The romance between the two main characters is very relatable to today and both the subject of dealing with an ex and rejection by parents is an integral part of the story and well written. Once again I could not put this book down and I'm looking forward to reading the next one.
