Leaning a little more but not entirely into the rock genre (I guess) this was, in my opinion, some of Steve Howe's best recorded music. Sounds fresh and alive and love his take on Walk, Don't Run.

Enjoy the crystal clear sound of one of the most innovative progressive guitarists - Rock, blues, jazz - you name it, Howe comes through every time with skill and superb sound. Great Xmas gift for DH the musician; could not be happier!

layers of guitars, so many different musical ideas on 1 cd.

Steve Howe's Quantum Guitar was first released in April 1998 on Resurgence and clocks in at about 60 minutes. I first picked this up a while back and this has become one of my "go to" Steve Howe albums. The album begins with a cool cover of Walk Don't Run and pretty much features one stand out song after another. There's also a great cover of Sleep Walk on here. The album is pretty much one great song after another. This used to be fairly common but it looks like it might becoming a bit rarer so you may want to pick this up for a good price while you can.

If you like Steve Howe's work wih Yes, as a solo artist, or if you just like great guitar playing, this cd is most definitely for you. Steve plays dozens of guitars (and everything else but drums, handled by his son, Dylan) and the textures and tones are astounding. His cover of "Walk,Don't Run" rocks very hard and could easily be the theme music at any live sporting event---its that cool. The styles here range from Texas swing to Yes-ish prog. Since you'll never hear any of this great music on the radio---of course---you owe it to yourself to get this marvelous collection of Steve Howe artistry.

What a pleasure to listen to this guy play! The songs are very listenable, and his guitar playing is really thrilling. This is my first Steve Howe solo album - I was quite pleased. I've been listening to the CD A LOT lately. The guy is quite talented, and we in the audience are lucky to enjoy it.

A kickass CD, some of his best work outside of yes. Kick back and listen to WALK DONT RUN and MOMENTA, just awesome! I just wish MOMENTA was a bit longer, like 10 mins! :-)

Steve Howe has to be one of the great guitar players of all time, a "guitar player's" player. This album is a great showcase for his talents, and finds him playing all of the instruments except the drums. It features multi-layered guitar tapestries with uplifting melodies and themes, and his take on "Walk Don't Run" and "Sleep Walk", two guitar classic standards, show his appreciation for the past and his ability to take it a step further with both class and excitement. Highly recommended if you are into guitar instrumentals.

For me is Steve Howe one of the best gitarists at all. He can play practically everything that has strings and can be played with the fingers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Steve Howe having fun

I think this is Steve Howe just having fun playing a selection of tracks from all over, with a selection of guitars. This does not spoil the cd at all, in fact you could imagine on some of the songs him laughing when he finishes them.
