Even my skeptical wife likes it.
5 Stars
Even my skeptical wife likes it.
This is my first Trijicon of any kind and it's the first time I've ever used or looked through anything made by Trijicon. I am amazed, to say the least. When my skeptical wife looked through this ACOG the first time, she looked at me and said, "Wow! This is amazing. Now you need one." That's how great the experience is when you look through one of these for the first time. It is an incredibly crisp and clear image. It gathers light like no other scope I've looked through and the technology behind the reticle illumination is fantastic. It does have a shorter eye relief however, and it doesn't have any adjustment if your vision is less than perfect. Some may consider this a con, but I wear glasses to see far away and when I have my glasses on, the reticle is absolutely perfect and crisp/clear. If I take my glasses off, the reticle is not crisp or clear. I wear glasses when I shoot though, so this is actually a plus for me because with other scopes, I've had to adjust the scope for my eye when wearing glasses and it's usually difficult for me to get a reticle to be in focus even half as good as this one. I'm amazed at how my grouping has improved when using the ACOG compared to other scopes. It's also amazing how hardly anyone on the internet shoots anything less than 3 shot groups at 100 yards that can be covered by a quarter. I must be the only person in the nation who would jump for joy if I was to shoot that well consistently. It's not like I couldn't hit a paper plate continuously at 100 yards because most of the time, I can do that. When using my ACOG, I can shoot significantly tighter groups than ever before and I have to give the ACOG some of the credit for my improved performance. I wish I could afford to put an ACOG on every one of my MSR's. It is everything I hoped it would be, and more. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering it.
