4.5 Stars I've been waiting for this duet! This is the first book in Katie and Noah's duet. This is a great friends to lovers story. Noah is entering his life after prison and coming home is not going to be easy. It's going to be tough for Katie being around Noah, but they have an undeniable chemistry that won't be ignored. I loved watching those two reconnect. It made my heart happy. I loved the relationship/friendship Noah is creating with Katie's son Owen. It's not all sunshine and roses because someone won't let Noah's past stay in the past. The cliffhanger that we are left with has me asking so many questions, but also has my sleuth hat working.

I was really looking forward to this book because I haven't read many books with ex-cons and the blurb drew me in immediately. Well, I really enjoyed this book! Noah and Katie were the sweetest thing. I cannot believe what the two have them have gone through and are still going through. As both Noah and Katie are trying to find their footing again after Noah getting out of prison, there is crazy things happening. The whole time you're trying to figure out who exactly is holding something against Noah and that ending will leave you reeling!!! Holding You Close will be one heck of a read because I cannot wait to see what happens next and if Noah and Katie will finally be able to be happy! This was my first read of Kennedy's and I'm excited to read more by them!

A best friend to lovers romance read that didn’t disappoint. Talk about swoon worthy, Noah and Katie electrifying at the edge of your seat journey from start to finish will have you cheering for their HEA. I loved that Katie in the beginning didn’t give in to Noah and made him work for it. The suspense in the storyline with that jaw dropping ending makes this newest release a must read. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
