My 1st time reading anything by Piper Lawson, and I loved it. Payton works in finance and Max an accomplished gamer, comes to her needing a 20 million loan for a new game. It doesn't turn out too well because they butt heads. Payton, really needing to win the bonus ends up working with Max to get his funding. As they get to know each other they open up about themselves. Their romance is a slow burn and I loved the humor added to the story. I am looking forward to reading more by Piper Lawson. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Max and Payton get together for business and then the fighting starts..Both are bright, stubborn and sexy as hell.First,they can't stand each other,then they can't stand to be apart.Max is developing not only a new computer game but true love as well.The stakes are high and but even corporate sabotage won't stop them from their destiny

This is the first book by Piper Lawson that I have read even though I have several of her books on my Kindle (I have a huge TBR pile). Why did it take me so long to read this book? I loved the story. You would never think that a book that is about gaming could be turned into such a great romance book but it was done. I loved it. This book had everything – humor, some swoon worthy moments and plenty of heat. I will be reading more of her work starting with what I have on my TBR and will go from there. If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly suggest it and do it soon, you will not be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
