I've been a Diamond Crystal Salt devotee for many years because of its clear, clean taste and perfect size consistency of the salt granules. I find it to be a purer taste than Maldon salt and a thousand times better tasting that grocery store salt like Morton's. The only thing Diamond Crystal could do better is to resume selling its salt in the cylinder dispenser rather than only in the boxes. The spout is problematic, as it's not metal and can tend to tear if you're not careful when you open it.

So I don't store my salt in a separate container than what it comes in. Unfortunately, this box has a tendency to leak out the sides when you try to use it. I'm not going to have much of a choice but to switch it over to a jar which is not a big deal. I just prefer not to use jars in my cabinets. As far as the salt goes, I'm a big fan. It has about the exact texture that I like, which is a little bit closer than a lot of the table salts you see but without being oversized. It has that clean salt taste to it. Sometimes I find salt has a bit of a metallic taste and this does not. So long story short this would be a five star if it came in a different container.
