Outstanding performance
I purchased the 10-piece granite set to use with my induction cookers. I have a small single induction and a large single induction. Every 7 to 10 days I make homemade dog food. That is roughly 55 to 60 lbs. of freshly cooked food and fills four large turkey roasting pans. The 4.5 quart saucepan with lid is amazing. It cooked 4 lbs. of ground chicken in one batch in less time than it took me to cook 2 lbs. in my old nonstick fry pan. It also easily handled scrambling 15 eggs at a time, saving me even more time over my old pan. Another bonus, it easily wiped clean between batches, and with no handle screws inside the pan to get meat or egg stuck on. The heat distribution is so good, in fact, that I will have to be more attentive because my quinoa in the small saucepan absolutely exploded. While it was a good test of how easily these come clean, I wasn't thrilled to have to clean my cooktop and counter. My couscous in the medium saucepan just slid out in one clump, leaving nothing inside the pan. Side note...I could not believe how quickly water comes to a boil. Much faster than I expected, even using the induction. The only downside I found, perhaps intentionally designed this way for performance, is that while cleaning the lid from the quinoa explosion I found there is a gap on the underside of the lid between the metal and glass along the edge. This means that I will have to be vigilant and use a small scrub brush (I use a toothbrush) to clean that. The pics show the gap with the toothbrush I used to clean it, the 4.5 quart saucepan after 5 batches of food with nothing more than a quick wipe with a towel, and the medium saucepan that was used for couscous without any cleaning at all. The weight of the pans, as others have mentioned, is not overwhelming. This helped me considerably as the arthritis in my hands sometimes makes it painful to move pans when I cook large amounts at once. The handles are comfortable and stay cool to the touch. I finished my batch of dog food in record time, shaving an hour and a half off my normal time, saving me considerable pain from extended time on my feet. I'm very pleased with the set. Another bonus, my nephew stopped by while I was cooking and his first remark was, "Nice looking pans." They are, in fact, very attractive.

In terms of performance, during our limited usage, they have demonstrated even cooking, which is a significant plus. Furthermore, following the manufacturer's recommendation to allow them to cool down before cleaning, we found them exceptionally easy to clean.
However, the main issue we encountered relates to the handles. Although they have an attractive design, we experienced a durability concern. During the very first use, while boiling eggs on medium heat, a portion of the handle unexpectedly broke off with a loud pop. We were surprised to find a piece of the handle on our griddle cover. I've attached pictures taken immediately after this incident, including one of the underside of the handle.
In summary, we are quite fond of these pots and pans with the exception of their durability. Given this issue, we are considering returning them and exploring alternative options. We are also looking into the possibility of getting a replacement pot to prevent any safety concerns related to the handle. It's worth noting that our experience may be an isolated incident, as we haven't come across similar reports in the few Amazon reviews we've read. I'll update this review to share the resolution once it's reached.
UPDATE 01/11/2024:
After posting my above update, I planned to reach out to Carote. I was not able to do so that day and when I was about to do so two days later, I noticed I had already received an email from Carote Brands via my Amazon account. By reaching out to me, they saved me additional time of having to reach out to them. They resolved the issue in a way which leaves me completely satisfied and will to try their products going forward. As for our pans, they have been working really well. I am still continually surprised at how light weight they are based on how the look. The non-stick feature has been very good as well. Even when letting melted cheese dry in the pot, I soak it in water for about ten minutes and then everything wipes out with a sponge. I haven't had any issues with cooking food or cleaning the dishes. Due to the warning in the packaging and the warnings in the instructions, we keep a cloth between the pans/pots that we are stacking to protect the material. I have updated my 2-star review to 4 stars to reflect their excellent customer service and the quality of the product, with the exception of my first review. I will update this in the future if I can remember or if someone reaches out.

I purchased these pots and pans as a Christmas gift for my wife, who is the primary cook in our household. Initially, we were impressed with their aesthetic appeal and the comfortable feel they offer. These cookware items are notably lighter than our older Calphalon set, making them easier to handle. It's worth mentioning that while the handles have a wood-like appearance, they are not made of wood and will burn your hand if you touch them while hot.Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2024
