Absolutely wonderful story. I enjoyed it so much I reread it a second time almost immediately after I finished my first read through. I awed so many times and actually squealed with joy at some parts. (Yes, guys squeal with joy sometimes. At least the ones secure in themselves do)

The author's got good diction, solid pacing, a distinct writing style, and importantly, an understanding of infant milestones. Nothing pulls me out of a story faster than poor wording and factual innacuracies.

I liked that the relationship struggles felt real. It didn't feel like a forced issue "I'm a corporate executive and she's a *gasp* gamer geek" or "I'm go with the flow and she had a 5 year plan" (not me trashing the other two stories I read with this one. Honestly, I dug all three but this was the most well-rounded out of them.) It just felt real. The characters had actual issues that actual adult relationships have. A baby complicates dating for a single parent. That's just a fact. And yeah, it can absolutely make you doubt your standing with your partner when it feels like they just want to hole up with you and never go out or introduce you to the people in their lives or talk about things that matter. So the relationship felt real, it felt solid. It was easy to invest myself in their success because they felt like real people.

I did notice a mistake or two (Ex: author said Kat got up from the bed when she'd stated she was laying on the couch) but it was inconsequential compared to how well the story was written.

Perfect Together by Christine L'Amour is a book that I wish was longer. The story is very sweet. The characters are enjoyable. It makes me want more like a book 2. It was a book that made me feel good and I am always rooting for a happy ending.
I did think the book was a bit rushed and would have been better with another chapter or two. Kat and Lily go from being neighbors to being girlfriends very quickly. This could have been built up more slowly with a bit more anticipation and angst. At the end, after they had a falling out, their reconciliation also happened too quickly in my opinion in spite of Kat not resolving her communication issues.
I did, again, enjoy the book very much and will be hoping for a sequel!

Odd. No discussions about sexual identity? Just right into the lesbian love making... it would be nice if things happened that naturally. Still, Lily and Kat's story is sweet and was fun to read.

I liked the story. It's a breath of fresh air. Kat and Lily have problems of their own but their lives are somehow parallel to each other.

Both of them have family drama in varying degrees but with each other, they weathered them.

Kat is more closed off than Lily and it created a conflict between them. Given that Lily is a mother she's more mature at 20 years old than Kat's 23 years.

I have to admit, this one's a tearjerker too. Aside from romantic love, it also covered filial love, especially mothers toward their children.

Give this story a try if you want something new. No cliffhanger, more of an open ending, and guaranteed HEA.

When I picked out this book, I was looking for an exciting quick read. I had no idea what I was getting into, but this book was so much more than that, it's simply amazing. The way that the author reaches out through the characters and their life, the way that you come to know the characters. In so many ways I found that I related to them. Love this book.

I like that there was an actual story here, not just jumbled plot built to support sex scenes. I also greatly appreciate that the sex was realistic. That's more of a turn-on, and much sweeter for the characters together, than the perfect explosive sexual action that I see in a lot romance novels these days.

There was character development, and a common theme in both the women's lives, despite how different they were. That was interesting.

This little book was listed as Free, so I figured, why not. I rarely have money for books. Having read it, though, I think I would have paid $2 or $3 for this little story, and still been happy. I'm almost always broke, and I'm picky about what I read. So, that's saying a lot.

I'll be hoping for more of this author's work. :) Always nice to find someone new to read.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I am stingy with 5 star reviews. Very few books are perfect.

Sitting here just amazed at how I read this story and loved it so much. I'm beyond enthralled with these characters and can feel so much about my own personal journey through them, even as a male reader. It made me think so much about a female friend who I blew it with. Part of me wants to scream I'm sorry from the nearest roof top...or just send her a text. But like the characters, it isn't really that easy. Time will reveal what will come of that, just like it did for Lily and Kathryn.

Good story but I thought that the better story was with the two families. Lilly's family kicked her to the curb, but the author never really explained why. And Kat's family; with the exception of her sister, had accepted the fact that she's gay. When her sister tried to reach out to Kat, she was a total child about it. The story is about Kat and Lilly and how the two did a meet and greet. I wouldn't have mind a little more interaction with the families. Still a good read

An enjoyable read. A few interesting twists along the way. Story well told without being to complicated
