Historic McCarty pedigree
Ted McCarty had his hand in some of the most legendary designs in electric guitar history, including the original humbucking pickup. McCarty began mentoring Paul Smith, and the original PRS McCarty model debuted in the 1990s. Since that time, the popular model continues to be a popular line for the company, even as distinctive McCarty design elements have found their way into various other PRS guitars. This Wood Library McCarty 594 Hollowbody II brilliantly combines the outstanding playability of the slightly shorter McCarty scale length with the tonal warmth of PRS’s Hollowbody II body style.
