The perfect balance of price and performance! The color and clarity of this monitor are definitely lacking out of the box. After a bit of playing with the settings this truly is a great monitor with vivid color, the perfect size and curvature for gaming, super high speed response, and that curve ratio - all exactly what I was looking for. The larger the monitor, the further apart the pixels. Also the higher the resolution, the lower response time, refresh rate, or hertz.
Coming from years of previously hooking up my pc to a large 4K television at 60hz (yes it still looks amazing but is slower), and not having bought a brand new monitor or put one together for a while... it is not difficult at all to do, but was still a pain. I blame my own excitement and patience though. Just as building a pc, yes it is meticulous but totally worth it. It also has the expected mounting features as well.
Sound quality? Seriously? I can not find any rational reason why anyone would want to use a displays on board sound as their go to option. Personally I haven't tried it pr checked if there even is the option. But you do you!
At such a low price point packed with so many sought after features, I can easily see myself or others buying more than one and mounting them side by side, above and below for a full gaming immersion.
Others had mentioned black spots or heavy dark pixels, even posting videos and pictures demonstrating the annoyances of this display. I can say that while yes it is there, it is however not as noticeable or frequent as one might have you think. I read about it and saw the posts before buying this monitor. It did not stop me. Adjusting your display settings is a thing. Maybe try playing with settings, antialiasing specifically or super resolution a bit and this will likely make this not so bad. I have not been bothered by this, but with a little tweaking of settings should eliminate or have this issue some have said slightly alleviated. This also depends on your graphics card, game, or video that you are watching source. However in dark scenarios for whatever reason, yes this is true out of the box and not playing with settings for this panel, however there are solutions. So it is still worth every penny.
Again I will point out, that to me these caveats are not such a huge deal as I did not expect the best in resolution, in display technology, or all of the highest bells and whistles when it comes to display quality and display specifications. I went for price, speed, curvature as its primary functions. This monitor clearly has a lot going on at 250hz and its curve ratio all with such a low price. It has exceeded all of my expectations for what was paid. There are no regrets in this purchase and I'm likely going to buy another, if not several.
Out of the box there is no HDR and it wasn't running at 250hz. So obviously you'll need to open up your computers settings to get the 250hz and HDR features going. Also needed adjust the clear type for font and text on screen. As well as many other in display settings to fit my liking.
Some had reviewed monitors in the 27 inch range with 1080p to be not a good option at all, talking about the pixels and how visible they become the larger up in screen size that you go. I can tell you that personally I don't visually see each and every individual pixel on this 27 inch display, and to me it is nonsense.
What is not nonsense though, was the comments made about going from a 250hz display back down to something like 144hz or 60hz. Yeah that isn't possible for me now either and holds firmly true. After going up to a 250hz display monitor, I can attest that it would be extremely difficult to ever be able to go back down again. I hope that I'll never have to. Everything else seems super slow and laggy after getting this display and looking at another. Hope this review has shed a bit of light and has helped.

PROS:
~144hz + Grey to grey time is great. (When running blur busters, i had practically no ghosting.)
~The panel itself is very nice for VA. The contrast + viewing angles are near IPS standard (very good, much better than my TN), and the blacks are pretty dark.
~Being a 1ms monitor as well as a VA panel, This outperforms both IPS (slower) and TN (less vivid picture quality/ viewing angles) while staying within this price range.
~The pannel is also freesync, so that is a plus as well for AMD users. (Being equipped with only nvidia gpu's at the time, i am unable to give feedback on its performance.)
CONS:
~With a resolution of only 1920 x 1080, at 27" the pixels are a bit more noticeable than a 24", but definitely NOT a deal breaker. (keep reading for more info) This does make higher application antialiasing a little more important.
~Not having a fully adjustable stand is a bit annoying. (Its TILT up and down is adjustable... but nothing else.)
~Also not a VESA stand to fix the last issue. (it is not a bad stand, just not adjustable)
~I have a little backlight light bleed on the panel i received. However it is pretty much unnoticeable in day to day use.
Tips/ help:
~The older generation of this model (g27c) had some issues with having the panel display blue artifacting. I can confirm as of now, this issue seems to have been fixed with the upgrade to the new g27c2. As well as a faster response time, Gen 2 is much better than its predecessor. (dont worry too much about reviews pertaining to the older model)
~27" 1920x1080 is not bad at all. (Unlike what some might say.) Unless you are sitting closer than 2 feet-ish, the PPI is not really that noticable.
~A close competitor to this monitor would be the VIOTEK GN32C, while being close in appearance, You may think, "oh nice, this one is 5" larger." While this is true, In my experience, at 32" 1080p, The PPI (pixels per inch) become much more noticeable. To simulate how this feels on your current monitor, open a game and drop the resolution down one or two options. (assuming you have a 20"- 24" 1080p monitor) This might give you a better idea of what to expect at 32 in. (Not being 100% accurate) You can use higher antialiasing to counter some of the effect, but it only works so much to fix the jagged edges due to the pixels being more spaced apart.
~A LOT of people say in their reviews that Grey to Grey time doesn't matter at all. I disagree, while it is not a deal breaker, It does make a bit of difference. Blur trails or "ghosting" behind moving objects becomes slightly less noticable as the response time gets smaller. This is really only important for fast paced fps games.
In conclusion, would I recommend this monitor to the every day user/ gamer? Yes, I definitely would! I find that it falls between great performance for gaming and quality for everyday use, without stressing your pc. (In comparison to the more intensive 1440p) I have very few bad things to say about the monitor. Most of which can be looked over with no problem at all. With this monitor being so new, I understand proper reviews are scarce. so I hope my review covers any questions you have. If not, post a question and ill try to help out as best as I can.

Pros:
This monitor can be had at a great price if found on sale. The price alternates all the time but anything below 340(I got it at 279) is a steal for it. With it being a gaming monitor in the 27 inch size it's hard to beat it when looking at similar spec monitors in the same size. The monitor checks almost all the boxes for a gaming monitor. It's got a 1ms response time, 144hz refresh and is 1080p which should be plenty for any gamer that got a budget. The panel our of the box is not calibrated the best but that can be easily remedied with some tweaks through the menu. The viewing angles are good and since it's curved looks amazing when infront, the bezels are nice and thin so this monitor is slightly larger then many 24 inch ones that have thicker bezels. The stand is well built and sturdy, metal in the right places for a premium feel. It comes with a display port cable which is nice and the cooling fan inside is silent.
Cons:
This is not a perfect monitor though, none really are. The monitor does not have g-sync, it's not an IPS panel so the viewing angles are not as good. The buttons are a little hard to differentiate due to them being under the front right side. The stand does not move vertically but I found it's height to be ideal. Warranty is only 1 year and many other companies offer 2-3 years standard.
Overall I would say this monitor is well worth it at the price and with all the features it has. MSI only recently got into the monitor business but this second version of their 27 inch version is already a great competitor to consider for consumers.
