About the Author

Through the years, I have escaped in the wonder of the written word; reading helped me to cope with the challenges of life and dream big dreams. My husband noticed that I had a "thing" for correcting grammar, and encouraged me as I edited papers for friends and then eventually edited the manuscript for "Dinner with a Terrorist." My experiences as the wife of a former military man helped to guide my work, and gave me insight to provide feedback to the author.Somehow, in the sleep-deprived haze that is being a working mother of two, I found the time to co-author my first book. A World War III series may not seem like the kind of book that a nurse with an MBA would draft, but "Prelude to World War III: The Rise of the Islamic Republic and the Rebirth of America" offers intelligent commentary on politics and world affairs. I hope you will enjoy reading this novel; perhaps we can all learn some lessons from what has been written here and prevent future tragedy on Earth.

James Rosone is the Amazon Top 100 bestselling author of the Red Storm Series and World War III military thriller series. Really enjoyed reading this book. If you're looking for a book with absolute technical accuracy and complete realism, then look elsewhere. This is a fun read that moves at a brisk pace. The book and the prequel do very effectively convey the unsettling but fully believable scenario where the US is no longer the military big dog and does take a beating. Overall, I found it difficult to put down.

The writing is decent, but a good editor would have been helpful to smooth out the occasional awkward passages and the multiple spelling errors (i.e. author writes 'straights' when intending 'straits'). It's a slight distraction when reading, but does not diminish the enjoyment of the book. You do have to suspend realism somewhat when the plot does rely a bit too much on bringing technology and weapons to the field in such a short timeframe which is likely impossible in the real world. Also a bit of a reach that the US could mobilize/train/and deploy the numbers of troops suggested in the book.

But I nitpick. If you're looking for a quick fun read, this is your book. It's kinda like Clancy in the good ole days, but set a few decades in the future. Worth the few bucks charged. Hope he writes many more books!

A great story totally love this series.. Author does great job tell a story.. A must read book and series
Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2017
Well I just finished reading book 2 in this series and all I can say is wow. From the first book to the end of this the second, the story has been a non-stop thriller of action and good news and bad news for the U.S Government. The character of President Stein in his idea’s is so determined to do the right thing one could only hope that this country gains a president like him one day.

The information given in these 2 books on the new weapons and designs are all very real and possible in this tech filled future. The on going growth of the United States as a nation as told in the first book is very, very plausible and could one day happen though not in my lifetime. The fighting spirit of the US military personal is written with great depth and insight to men and women fighting for their country that you actually hope that character survives. Needless to say I have so far very much enjoyed this series to date.
Both books have lived up to my expectations and I cannot wait to start the 3rd book after I post this review.

Operation Red Dragon and the Unthinkable is the second book of World War III series. In the first book it all starts through a chain of terrorist activities and with the rise of the Islamic Republic. And the second book is the continuation of this war. There is a smooth transition from book one to book two and reader can easily follow the events happening in the book. Although I had already read the book one I think someone who has not read book one will also easily understand the stream of events as a background is created and well described by the authors in this book.

It all starts with the event that a nuclear bomb had destroyed the most iconic american city New York. Henry Stein-The president of United states of America is under deep stress and world is full of havoc. With the rise of Islamic Republic everything has changed and it comes to a point where America can not win the war all alone. Russia on the other hand declares war on allies and invades parts of Europe. This book provides a vivid picture of diplomatic, political and war activities of the third world war
and I highly enjoyed it. I recommend this for others as well and I am expecting to read the third book of this series very soon.

This book series is a very good series about what can go wrong in the future. It is often quite scary if you have children that could be fighting age in a few years. However, the author needs a great deal of proof-reading and spell check before he publishes it. I have read two of the books and have found many errors that could have been easily corrected. By the way, it's "by and large", not "by in large". This is just an example of many errors that could have been avoided. If you are the author reading this, I would be happy to proof-read your manuscripts free of charge.

3.0 out of 5 stars Noch gut
Reviewed in Germany on December 9, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic story, though must read all four books

Fantastic story, though must read all four books, total reading time over 30 hours, but never a dull moment! Minor carping; still needs a trace of proof reading, some coincidences are a little too much, perhaps the detail of weaponry sometimes a little over the top for those who have never served in the forces. Am now on book 3 and am absolutely gripped! Can't imagine what on earth James could do fror an encore.

This and book 1 were unreal reads these writers did their research and a good job of picking future tech that would most likley be in use for the time period , and what current stuff would still be in use then. The way it is all laid out makes it very real to the point you start thinking this may be what we have in store for the future can't wait to read op red dawn. Excellent job !!!!

Very realistic and maybe more than a hint of what may become a future real war within 25 - 30 years. Scary.
I have read all 3 in the series and am waiting for the conclusion.

The scenes of Tank warfare I found to be accurate and real as I was once a MBT Gunner in Vietnam, but we did have total air control which is of course a huge help.
The need to be prepared for either or all of the Axis powers, in these books, to do it all again is a frightening scenario and one our political leaders continue to "fiddle with at the edges". We need to stand up and be counted.
