It doesn’t take long for fragments of the truth to come back, though, and when Lisa realises that she was assaulted by a man and left to die, she begins to live in fear, seeing threats everywhere she looks. What if he comes back for her—and she doesn’t even recognise him? Even co-workers and neighbours could be suspects . . .

Soon, Lisa discovers she is not the only victim and becomes fixated on pursuing the perpetrator. But is she really prepared for the horrifying truth she is about to discover?

What, me? Oh, I've been writing since I was a child, back when submitting to publishers and agents involved carting heavy envelopes to the post office. Not fun.

I finally got published in September 2020. I now have a bunch of books out, and people have even bought some! I hope you got to this page because you are one of them.

I am a biomedical scientist by day. If something comes out of you and goes to the hospital, it's my job to test it. Sometimes it's tiny flecks, and sometimes whole limbs. We actually have a section of the lab called the Body Bench. I should put that in a story one day.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. Her writing style is such that her stories really pop and come to life on each page. I never hesitate to pick up her books. This book is no different. The characters pull you into the story from the start. They are connectable and truly made the story come to life. A suspenseful story that comes to life with the author's use of details. The twists and turns had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. The plot has great growth throughout the story. This is one of my favorites by her yet. I highly recommend this book.

Started out wonderfully, then progressively went downhill. The story was a bit long winded and the ending made zero sense to me, maybe I missed something but I was happy when it said "the end".

I'm glad I didn't pay for this book smh. I had to skip to the end because it was so stupid that I couldn't waste anymore time. And I'm glad I did because the ending was as equally bad as the rest

This story comes out December the 2nd of 2022. The paperback is available November 18th of 2022. This is a story of Lisa Holton, with her husband Ted Holton, have a son Dan Holton, and her sister Maud and husband Donald. The story begins with Lisa been a geocache for ten years. Ted was worried about the wedding rings Lisa lost them in the robbed and assaulted in the attacked in the park. That same night is Lisa's sister Maud's birthday party. Lisa is having short memories lost she research called dissociative amnesia, how the brain could repress memory of trauma. Lisa Holton suffered such memory blackout, fist time ten years ago, at age of nineteen, when she nervously nearly died from a drug overdose. and did not seek professional help. but consulted the internet. Before the party, Lisa, she was attacked in the woods. This story is exciting, interesting, and compelling to read to find out who attacked Lisa, what with her and her husband Ted relationship is about. And so much more. I hope you enjoy this novel.

From the beginning this book draws you in and holds you. Every spare moment I had, I was reading. Absolutely loved this novel…. until the ending. The ending was good in its own way, but the buildup to it made it feel very anticlimactic and rushed. I would not hesitate to reread this book if the ending were redone and not so rushed.

OBSESSED is a psychological suspense novel by Jane Heafield. Having really enjoyed her previous novels, I was anxious to start this one.

2. Cold Blood (2021)
3. Cold Heart (2022)
No Trace (2022)

Her standalone novels include:
Novels

Her Dark Past (2021)
Obsessed (2022)

This is my review of Obsessed.

Lisa is a geocacher, a person who searches for hidden items using GPS coordinates online. She often walks alone late at night in the woods searching for treasures.

Lisa is married to Ted and they have an eight-year-old autistic son, Dan, who they both love and protect very much.

One night, out a pub where there was a birthday celebration for Lisa’s older sister, Maud, Lisa was attacked and raped in the woods, and nearly left for dead. She confides in her sister and tells her she was attacked by a teenage girl in the woods…and her wedding ring is now gone.

But Lisa can’t remember her attacker’s face, and her memory of the event is blank.

Ted and Maud had often warned Lisa of the dangers of walking alone late in the woods.

But Lisa had lied to her husband and sister about who attacked her and why. Her attacker was a man, and not a teenaged girl, who tried to murder her.

Ted reports the attack to the police who show up at the house for a statement…so the lies continue. Ted was more interested in the value and recovery of the lost wedding ring than his wife’s condition.

Later Lisa begins to live in fear, seeing threats everywhere she looks. What if he comes back for her.

Soon, Lisa discovers she is not the only victim and becomes determined on finding her perpetrator.

This gripping psychological suspense novel will have you flipping the pages until the final twist at the end that you don’t see coming. A great read!

Many thanks to the author and Bloodhound Books for my digital copy.

I enjoyed the first few pages then it got repetitive and I started skipping the remaining chapters. The protagonist was an unlikeable character and got herself into the most impossible situations. The ending was equally awful. Don’t waste your time on this.

All that for an ending that was quite honestly utterly unbelievable, three evenings of my life wasted. Won't bother with any more from this writer .

What a pointless boring book. I don’t think the author had a clue where she was going with the story
