Soles are hard plastic without much give, so you'll want to use padded insoles or inserts. The boots do come with thin foam insoles which help a little.
You can cut the tops down with scissors if the boots are too tall for your tastes or if, like me, you have stocky calves and the boot shafts are too narrow.
Plenty of toe room, but a bit narrow for my wider feet. I wear 11 1/2 Wide shoes, and these 12's are a little long for me and snug.
Treads have good grip.
They fit as expected and were incredibly comfortable with just a pair of regular socks over the course of about eight hours of back-breaking up and down clean-up work. Naturally, the one downside to any rubber boot is the same thing that keeps water out keeps it in too, so I did have to stop and ring things out half-way through the day thanks to sweat and the occasional drip that ran down my legs into the boot. But even with that, I never developed any hot spots or blisters.
Lastly, they offered good traction on everything except wet marble tile.
Long story short: Uncomfortable, poor fit, hard to get on when cold.
