My experience when testing the keyboard and the trackpad was rather mixed. the typing itself is very comfortable, but it’s the trackpad palm rejection does not seem to work very well. The issue I had was, as I type, my palm would touch the trackpad and make the screen react strangely. Even the slightest touch would activate the cursor and changes something on the screen. Sometimes that change might be making another app active on the screen. Other times it would just move the cursor to another part of the word document.
To be clear. The keyboard is equipped with a key next to the spacebar, that would allow the user to turn on and off the trackpad. When I would turn off the trackpad, no accidental curser movements would happen. I am sure, that with enough usage and practice, the process of turning the trackpad on and off would become rather seamless. Just like putting on a seatbelt as you enter and exit a car. But, I can’t help but believe that this would not be necessary if the software/driver's code was written better to avoid accidental triggering of the trackpad. But, I am sure that the higher level of coding would bring the price of this keyboard into the hundreds of dollars price range that others name brands are at.
Putting the trackpad issue to the side, as for the experience of actually typing on the keyboard, it is very nice. The key travel is very good. I would consider it on equal ground as any other quality keyboard. No, it is not the gamer's choice of noise mechanical key. But it is also not a flappy wet noodle feeling keystroke either. It feels premium, to be honest. The case that houses all of these technologies is not bad either. I have defiantly purchased worse. Is this on the same level as the name brands? No, but I have recently tested another off-brand that was simply unusable. In that model, the keyboard sat so far out, and the entire case, was so long, that you needed to sit the tablet and keyboard on a table the width of a picnic table to avoid the ends from hanging off the sides. This keyboard case is closer to the actual length of a laptop. Just slightly longer due to the hinged kickstand that holds the screen up. On that point, the major letdown of this keyboard would be that you cannot use it on your lap while sitting in a waiting room. It is just too long and would fall off your knees. But, if you need a lower-priced option of a keyboard for your IPad, and won't be planning to use it on your lap, this option is one to consider
