Smart Barista's know the foundation of a great cup of coffee starts with a reliable & well built coffee expresso tea press
Plunger and filter parts constructed with flimsy plastic & rubber are destine to fail. So we designed a 3 piece stainless steel infuser filter system ensuring taste-free parts so nothing comes between you & your fresh coffee beans
Also, a poor frame design with brittle glass will likely lead to accidental cracks with typical everyday use. These conditions is the difference whether you enjoy your french press for a few months or for many years to come
The fun modern design is inspired by top Baristas from around the world that demand durability & style
Our high quality generous 8 cup size teapot is uniquely made from borosilicate glass, making it resistant to thermal shock, great for an RV camper. The best results of good coffee come from following the directions: don't use presently boiling water, if making coffee, use course grounds, clean immediately after use, etc. Several of the common complaints could be remedied just by paying attention and not being a doof. I am very happy over all with this product. Plus, I got a cool app to go with the new press I own by scanning a barcode on the box. Not why I bought it, but a cool little add on of nice coffee recipes. Can't wait to try teas and espresso!
Updated June 1st, 2015
So, I've owned this little beauty for a little while longer now, so I thought I'd give an update after using this a few (dozen) more times.
I. Absolutely. LOVE. This. Device! Let's go over the high points:
All-glass construction. If you feel the inside of your carafe, you'll notice that it is a completely solid glass construction. I've discovered that other presses will join the glass to a plastic base which will crack or leak with normal use. This, however, is a solid build. This will never leak because it's one continuous piece of glass.
Heavy-duty. This thing is a tank. The plastic lining along the outside really enforces that glass. I use this all the time and I've never worried about cracking the glass. Like I mentioned when I first bought this press, I accidentally dropped it (woops!) on the floor and ... it bounced! I wouldn't test that on yours, but that still doesn't change how impressed I am with the durability of this product. Also, the construction just appears pleasing. It's very classy looking, and I get a lot of complements on its looks alone.
It's so simple! No little bolts or screws. Just the carafe, a plastic top/plunger, and nothing else. The filter attached to the top is ridiculously easy to take apart and assemble. There are some other presses that advise you to disassemble their filters over a tray so you don't lose little parts. No problem here! Just three pieces that sit right on top of each other and twist right on to the plunger. My dog could put this thing together.
My last high point is the company's customer service. They do a great job of making sure you're happy. Pretty much as soon as I ordered the press I got an email from the co-founder of the company and got a few tips on how to take care of the press. Now, I don't know if it was an automatically generated email, but I don't really care if it was. I knew exactly how I could get ahold of someone if I had any questions. I've never heard any complaints about trying to communicate with this company. In my experience, these guys and gals are the best at doing what they do.
If you're busy scrolling through reviews of various presses, trying to decide which is the best one for you, I'd tell you look no farther. I did the very same thing, and I'm so happy with my results. This is the all-around best glass press you'll find. Like I mentioned in my first review, most of the problems people encounter while using any press are generally their own fault. When brewing coffee, use course ground beans to avoid any bits of grounds that could pass through the filter. Never, ever, use directly boiling water in the press. That's just too much of a shock for any glass. Plus, it'll make the brew nasty. Always stir the grounds with a plastic or wooden spoon. Metal spoons might hit the inside wall of the carafe and chip or crack the glass. Basically, handle your press with care and use common sense. If you do that, you'll be making the most delicious cups of coffee you've ever had in no time! I hope you enjoy your press just as much as I do.

How to Make Cold Brew Iced Coffee, as Told by a Starbucks Barista
Spoon University
August 28, 2015
By Morgan Nielsen
As college students, most of us wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the power of a good (and strong) cup of coffee. Hot or iced, black or with cream, many of us have turned to coffee at least a few times in our collegiate careers to write those last few paragraphs or memorize those last few elements.

While there are plenty of great and effective ways to brew that neat little bean, none are as unique as the elusive cold brew. Once limited to small hipster coffee shops because it takes 12+ hours to brew in small batches, this tasty sensation is catching our eye and finally getting the attention it deserves. As Starbucks stores across the country are launching cold brew as a new beverage option, it’s easy (and cheap) to make and customize your own version at home.

The mechanics of making coffee are pretty simple. Grind the beans and add hot water, where the hot water then soaks into the grinds and extracts the caffeine and flavors of the bean. The grinds are then filtered out, and we can drink our coffee and go about our merry, caffeinated ways. With cold brew, the idea is that the heat is replaced with time- instead of brewing with hot water and achieving (nearly) instant gratification, cold brew uses cold or room temperature water, so the process takes longer.

Here’s the kick - because the bitterness of coffee comes entirely from the heat of the water, the cold brewing process can remove most if not all of the bitter taste and acidity of the coffee (depending on the acidity of the particular blend or roast being used). As a result, you get a much smoother and generally better tasting cup of iced coffee than if you had brewed it with a more traditional method. Because nobody likes a bitter cup of coffee.

In fact, cold brewing inhibits so much of the acidity of coffee so much so that people with sensitive stomachs can generally stomach cold brew much better than a more standard cuppa joe. Which also means that you don’t necessarily have to pile in milk and sugar into it, and many people find that they can drink it black. So it tastes better, doesn’t kill your stomach, and it won’t kill your diet either? That’s right.
At this point, you’ve probably pulled up your search engine of choice to find out how to DIY the crap out of this whole thing. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Below you’ll find a full recipe for some seriously yummy iced coffee, without any fancy equipment. Happy sipping!
Easy Cold Brewed Iced Coffee
Prep Time: Less than 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20-24 hours
Total Time: 20-24 hours
Servings: About 6
Ingredients:
4-oz. coarsely ground coffee beans
1 French press or quart-sized mason jar
2 cups cold, filtered water
Directions:
Measure out your ground beans and pour them into the bottom of the brewing vessel. While a large mason jar or drink pitcher with a lid and a metal filter will suffice, a French Press is ideal because the filter and everything is built right in. I really like this one, but any large model will do.
