As I finish this book, I literally have chills! This was an absolutely beautiful short romance, that really touched something inside me. It's a novella length story set in the MI: Colorado Springs series. We get to visit with some of our favorite couples from previous stories, catching up on their lives. Kaylee has a past that she is trying to forget. One that doesn't make her happy. But she has a present that she is working on, and friends who are pulling her closer to that elusive happiness. She has always struck me as a person who works hard to bring joy to others. There is so much going on with Kaylee! So much hurt, it just makes my heart weep for her! Landon, on the other hand, is just confused. I have to say, he wasn't my favorite male character, because he gives the impression of not wanting to get involved in a relationship just so he can keep playing the field. Of course, as the story unraveled, and I learned more about him, I found him to be a very sweet guy. This is an emotional, quick read. As with all of the MI stories, be prepared for a roller coaster of feelings, and look forward to turns you never even saw coming. I loved the tender moments, the connection and the absolute pure love between Kaylee and Landon. It's perfect and beautiful! There really is no other way of putting it! I absolutely loved this story!

If you're familiar with the Montgomery's, chances are you're already familiar with Landon & Kaylee. This story picks up when their story has already had their first chance. Both Landon & Kaylee have decided that they are best off as friends, not as anything more. The problem comes in that, privately, they both want more but don't want to jeopardise their friendship. This is a fantastic quick read that provides you with everything you can want - great characters, quality writing, wonderful premise, good dose of the Montgomery's & a HEA. This is a nice quick read while you wait for your next full length book from this author.

Cute, but VERY short novella. We saw these two in other Montgomery Ink books so their quick love realizations were very real, but I don't feel like I got to know these characters as well as we usually do in Carrie Ann Ryan novellas. I was really looking forward to reading Kaylee and Landon's story and in some ways I feel like this was too short. The writing was good, but it needed more content for me to enjoy it.
