No Crime Forgotten: A Gripping Crime Mystery (The Dublin Murder Mysteries) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 539 ratings

A bizarre murder in the suburbs of Dublin leads a Garda Síochána detective into a perplexing investigation in this gritty crime novel.

When Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West and his partner answer an emergency call from St. Monica’s church, they discover a dead body suspended from the beams in front of the altar. The victim is identified as Ian Moore, a man recently released from prison after serving time for rape.

Revenge seems like the obvious motive for Moore’s murder, but as the list of suspects grows, West begins to wonder if there’s something deeper going on. Perhaps the killer believes this is God’s work. With pressure from both the church and his boss to get the case solved quickly, West and his team have their work cut out for them.

My favorite book in this engaging series. The characters are well developed and we follow them as they try to solve an intricate and puzzling murder. Keogh skillfully weaves the narrative as the list of suspects are revealed. Recommend this book and can be read as a stand alone but much more enjoyable to read the books in order.

Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West and Edel are back in this fifth instalment in The Dublin Murder Mystery series and I could not be more excited! This series is up there as one of the best I have read and each book that is released, cements my view more and more.

The plot for No Crime Forgotten is intriguing, the pace fast and as always, the writing is flawless. Valerie Keogh has crafted another thrilling read full of twists and turns to keep you on your toes, keeps you guessing and those pages on the Kindle flicking!

Over the course of the series, Valerie Keogh has done such a superb job with the development of Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West, Edel and the recurring cast. You can tell that she really cares for these characters, which in turn has you also feeling the same way towards them.

You can always count on Valerie Keogh to deliver a thrilling story whether she is writing in the psychological thriller genre or the crime thriller genre and No Crime Forgotten is no exception. What is also great about this series, there is also the romance element between Mike and Edel which does break up more of the darker side of things, but is not overdone.

No Crime Forgotten is another brilliant addition to the series which just keeps going from strength to strength. It is gripping, intense and whist it can be read as a standalone, I do recommend you reading the other books in the series. Congratulations on another cracking read Valerie Keogh and I look forward to what you come up with next.

NO CRIME FORGOTTEN is the fifth book, a psychological Crime/Mystery thriller in the Garda West Series by best-selling author Valerie Keogh. Although this is the first book in this series that I have read, it is easily read as standalone as the author provides adequate background information, to follow. The Garda West series is set in Dublin where Garda Sergeant Mike West battles a series of crimes.

The Books in The Series Include:
BOOK 1
No Simple Death
BOOK 2
No Obvious Cause
BOOK 3
No Past Forgiven
BOOK 4
No Memory Lost

BOOK 5
No Crime Forgotten

Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West and his partner, Detective Garda Peter Andrews respond to an emergency call from St Monica’s church and discover a dead body suspended over the central aisle in front of the altar.

Upon further investigation, victim had been killed elsewhere, due to lack of blood at the scene. With no sign of a break-in, the killer must have been hiding somewhere inside the church.

The police confirm that the victim was killed in one of the confession boxes. They had reason to believe that someone sat in the priest’s box and sprayed a sedative through the mesh, rendering the victim unconscious. There is sufficient blood in the box to indicate he was killed there.

The victim’s fingerprints show that the man is Ian Moore, recently released from prison after serving time for rape. Revenge seems like the obvious motive for his murder but the list of suspects grows as the case takes an unexpected twist.

Why did the perpetrator target this church?

When West went to notify the victim’s parents, they were confused because their son is alive, an engineer working in Dubai. They just spoke to him via Skype a few hours ago. Could this be a case of identity theft? Why? How did someone get their hands-on Ian Moore’s ID?

With pressure from archbishops, bishops, priests and Inspector Morrison to get the case solved quickly - West and his team must speed up their act to solve the murder.

This is a gripping crime thriller with a great ending. Love the relationship between West and his love, Edel.

Many thanks to the author, and Bloodhound Books for my digital copy.

Many thanks to the author / Bloodhound Books for the digital copy of this police procedural. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Detective Garda Mike West is back with his partner and team when a body is found in a local church.

When fingerprints are taken, they come back as belonging to Ian Moore, recently released from prison. Revenge seems like the most likely motive, but the case takes an unexpected twist.

Once again, this author has drawn me in from the very beginning with an intricate plot and not-to-be forgotten players. There are plenty of suspects to follow while West and his team diligently question each and every one. I enjoy the blend of professional and personal ..and in this case, West's girlfriend plays a big part in solving this case.

NO CRIME FORGOTTEN – Valerie Keogh’s latest book in “The Dublin Murder Mysteries” series - kept me up late!
I've read all of the books in the series and each time, I think, she can't top this one, then with the release of the next one, I'm proven wrong.

Solving a murder can be difficult. It’s even more difficult when Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West and his team can’t figure out the victim’s true identity. Something in the victim’s past must have caused him to take a false identity. Who or what was he hiding from? Whatever was in the dead man’s past, caught up with him. A fateful reminder that there is No Crime Forgotten.

A well plotted tale. The characters were not particularly interesting. However the story was well plotted and the end was exciting and did not disappoint.

The author has done it again with the way two totally unrelated plots are slowly intertwined into one. And the result brings us an interesting conclusion especially when the church has been involved.
Mike and Edel have their relationship going from strength to strength with a couple of changes being made. By now, having read the previous stories, you are really feeling part of the team.

There was nothing I did not like about this book. How the author keeps writing with such excitement amazes me. From book 1 right through to book 5 she kept it up, while the reader couldn't put them down. Each book had a different story with the same characters, and the stories didn't copy the previous story.. All I ask for is for Valerie Keogh to write another Dublin Murder mystery, and another, and another and on and on I cannot praise her writing enough

This is the 5th in the series and the best yet. St Monica's, an evocative setting for the discovery of a dead body. Keogh goes from strength to strenght with Garda West and his team while they try and discover what happened, a tale that dredges up a past many don't want dredged.

Nice character development . Good to get to know the rest of the team. It was also good to see a different side of Edel.
