Publisher's summary

Evan Bishop is your typical hotshot doctor. Hardass, brooding, and all business. Instead of working on the family ranch, Evan broke the mold and became an ER doctor. He's good with his hands - in more ways than one - smart as a whip and is the definition of God's gift to women. Being a gentleman is in his Southern roots, but that doesn't mean he isn't flawed. Exclusive dating has never been a top priority and his tragic past makes him stay at arm's length.

Deciding to let loose for a wild night, he takes a page from the Bishop brother's relationship book and hooks up with a mysterious girl he'll never have to see again, which is perfect for this self-proclaimed bachelor.

Emily Bell is a city girl through and through but is determined to get away from her family and past. All she wants is a fresh start and to make a name for herself in the medical field. No random hookups and no dating coworkers - that's her new motto after being burned time and again.

When she agrees to attend a wedding as a plus-one, she's soon ditched and left to drink solo - but not for long. Mr. Suit is the ultimate temptation with his Southern charm, messy blond hair, and irresistible sex appeal. Everything about him screams bad news, but he makes her reconsider her rules just for one night.

Emily Had To Grow On Me

I enjoyed listening to Evan and Emily's story. I could understand Emily's reaction to the situation with her boyfriend. That served him right. But, to jump to conclusions about the situation with Evan when she didn't come close to having all of the facts, was over the top.

Emily was not my favorite, just because of her attitude at the beginning. This would be the same for anyone in any profession at any level. How do you walk in the door acting like you know EVERYTHING about how things should be done, more than the people who have worked there for years? I mean, you can have the knowledge, but you don't know their policies or procedures.

Also, why would she think it wouldn't take Evan some time to get over the stunt she pulled? Evan was a good guy. He came to her rescue more than once. We got an explanation for Evan's brooding personality. But at least Emily was able to break down those walls. They had good chemistry, and built up the sexual tension throughout the book.

There were a few unexpected twists and turns. I was also wondering about Emily's family. The place that they were introduced into the book was interesting. I don't honestly know if it would have made any difference to the story if they had been left out. Maybe her siblings will get their own books.

I guess this would fall under enemies to lovers which isn't my favorite, but this was pretty entertaining. This book also provided some insight into the two remaining unattached Bishop Brothers and their future situations.

I do enjoyed reading about the Bishop family. It is not all easy going relationships and smooth sailing. The love, loyalty, the ups and downs, ridiculous sibling behavior, and the strong sense of family makes for an entertaining read.

I thought the narration was good. Along with a good story, the narration pulled me in and kept me engaged to the very end. It also left me really wanting to jump into John's story.

My favourite Kennedy Fox couple!

Needing Him by Kennedy Fox is the 2nd book in the Bishop Brothers Series. I ADORED Emily and Evan! These two are one of my most favourite Kennedy Fox couples to date. I loved their connection, chemistry and their banter. They challenge each other and support each other. Evan is a broody doctor. He is full of the southern charm and has a sweet soft side when you get to know him. The book begins at his brothers wedding and he and Emily hook up for one night only. Talk about chemistry!! The following Monday they run into each other at the hospital and he realizes Emily is a new ER doctor at the hospital! The enemies to lovers vibe is strong in this one. Emily recently discovered her ex was cheating in her when walking in on him with a nurse in an on call room at her previous job and swears off ever dating again in the work environment. Evan has his work cut out from him but he soon breaks her down and an all consuming love story begins. Evan is confident and cocky in a sexy way. He has a huge heart and is protective and gorgeous. He takes charge in the ER and in the bedroom. The steam factor in this one is off the charts. So much fire and passion between these two and I couldn’t get enough. Emily is hardworking and has earned her place. She is the daughter of an extremely well known surgeon and has tried her best to be her own person and just known because of who her Dad is. She is fierce and spunky. She keeps Evan on his toes and makes him really work for her heart. I love the Bishop family so much. They are the true picture of a loving supportive family. After the teaser dropped at the end I am dying to start John Bishop’s story next in Chasing Her.

I adore Aiden Snow’s southern accent - he voiced the part of Evan perfectly! and Savannah Peachwood as Emily was amazing too. Their voices compliment each other wonderfully to make an enjoyable listening experience.

Annoying annoying

These were the words that I felt while listening to this story. The h constantly had to explain her past and present actions. The H acted like he was perfect! I got soo annoyed with their senseless banter that I had to fast forward most of this book bc I wanted to know the ending. There’s no romance just drama and more drama. I’m not familiar with medical field or languages but I think some of medical terms were not accurate. Another words, the author should have done more research before including in this story.

GREAT READ

There is absolutely nothing that i can fault this book on, from the way that it is written to the narrators that animated the words... it was pure and simple bliss... I can not wait for more books to come out, i am sure that we going to hear about all the brothers... the book ended with the most unexpected cliff hanger ever... with the least expected character too... I cant was to hear what plays out now...

Country Lovin

I cannot get enough of these Bishop brothers. Evan is the brother that decided ranch life wasn’t for him and he became a doctor. Emily is a doctor that is trying to make a name for herself instead of living in her dad’s shadow. A one night stand turns into a situation that neither wanted... Evan is Emily’s new boss.

I absolutely loved the hate to lovers feel, even if the hate was misunderstood. The tension built into a romance that was so explosive, it knocked Emily’s panties off. Literally. There is something so endearing about the country attitude these Bishop brothers exude. I can’t get enough.

The dual POV narration was perfection. Aiden’s gruff timber and low drawl was exactly was these country boys would sound like. Savannah Peachwood always provides such a solid performance, turning into the character she portrays and is able to pull of male voices that are in no way cheesy and every bit believable.

Really good!

I've read book 1 and 2 one after the other and I love the Bishop brothers. They are pretty funny, sweet, rakes but soon to be reformed. Well, this story follows Evan and his one-night stand to HEA, Emily. Both are doctors and when they first meet, they pretend to be other people. Emily misconstrues something and the morning after, puts Evan in an awkward situation (pretty funny). Anyway, they meet again when Emily has to work with him which at first, puts them as enemies but that quickly changes.

I really liked this book because while it was 11 hours, there was the additional concern about who was stalking Emily which added some excitement. Book 1 felt too much like a really long slice of life, sweet but kind of boring. This book dragged a little in the end because again, it reverted back to the slice of life story but at least most of the story had other stuff happening. That said, I really really like the characters and I'm totally a fan of the Bishop family so I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow are fantastic, as expected. I still think that Savannah's male voice is a little weaker, sounding a touch forced, but it doesn't take away from the story. Aiden Snow was perfect. I loved listening to the story via audiobook!
