At first I was worried this wouldn’t play because of all the foreign stamps on the cover and disc. But thank goodness it plays just fine. The video and audio on this are Stellar. Except for the huge black bars on the top and bottom, which shouldn’t even exist anymore since we All have widescreen tvs. Other than that it’s breath taking. The only way this could be improved (imo) would be a 4k UHD presentation with a Dolby Atmos track. That would be Perfection, if they don’t botch it like they did with Terminator 2. I’m happy with this til the 4k comes out

Reduce da un successo più che meritato, Titanic è un film che lega una storia d'amore tra i due protagonisti, quali Rose De Witt Bukater (Kate Winslet) e Jack Dawson (Leonardo Di Caprio), ad un fatto realmente accaduto nel 1912, anno in cui la nave Titanic affondò inesorabilmente a causa di un iceberg. Rose è una ragazza avente una famiglia ricca e sposata con un nobile di nome Caledon "Cal" Hockley (Billy Zane) ma, ciò nonostante, è infelice della vita che conduce, mentre Jack è un artista della terza classe che vince un biglietto per salire sulla nave partecipando ad una partita di poker. Quando la fanciulla, stufa della sua vita, si sta per buttare, il giovane disegnatore la convince a rinunciare all'idea, e nell'istante in cui lei disgraziatamente scivola, lui l'afferra salvandole la vita. Successivamente, i due si innamorano, seppur con delle obiezioni da parte della madre di Rose e da Caledon. Ad un tratto, però, il transatlantico che viene definito "inaffondabile" si schianta contro un iceberg, provocando al mezzo di trasporto danni irreparabili, affondando con migliaia di persone a bordo. Rose è una tra i pochi superstiti e, più di ottant'anni dopo, racconta ad un gruppo di scienziati tutte le esperienze vissute a bordo della nave. Noto per essere uno dei film più costosi di tutti i tempi e caratterizzato da effetti speciali epicamente straordinari (considerando anche che è un film del 1997, tanti anni fa), una colonna sonora stellare, ottime interpretazioni da parte degli attori, in particolare per Kate Winslet e DiCaprio, e una regia spettacolare, Titanic si rivela uno dei più grandi capolavori nella storia del cinema, in quanto riesce a combinare una storia d'amore con una tragedia in maniera perfetta. Un film assolutamente da vedere.
