Struggling with screen-time?

Anxiety around school?

In There's Still No Such Thing As 'Naughty', Sunday Times bestselling author and child therapist Kate Silverton explains that, while our children aged 5-12 are becoming more independent and physically mature, they need us more than ever emotionally.

Backed by neuroscience, neurobiology, and her practical clinical experience, Kate offers compassionate wisdom and insight into the inner workings of your child's mind, demonstrating how to help them better soothe their anxiety, regulate their emotions, cultivate resilience, foster empathy and navigate thoughts and big feelings with ease.

· How parents can support their child's healthy brain development
· How to help with anxiety around going to school
· The importance of time spent in play
· How to support our own mental health as much as our children's
· How to strengthen the connections with our children and have an easier time of it too!
· Why there is still no such thing as 'naughty'

The audiobook includes an exclusive bonus track - Kate's Clinic - where Kate and her husband Mike look at a couple of parent's cases in further detail, offering advise and support.

About the author

Kate Silverton (Author, Narrator)
Kate Silverton is one of the UK's most familiar faces. A much-loved broadcaster and journalist, she's covered conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, rubbed shoulders with Hollywood's finest on the red carpet at the Oscars, and shone bright as one of the stars on Strictly Come Dancing.

A mother to two young children, in 2020, Kate made what many considered a brave mid-life decision to switch lanes and change careers. She explained that she had followed her heart and found joy, returning to her academic roots in child psychology.

Now a qualified child therapist, Kate combines her time supporting her family, volunteering in clinical practice to support children in need and working privately to help parents find their joy and harmony at home. Her first parenting book, There's No Such Thing As 'Naughty', was an instant Sunday Times number-one bestseller.

Kate's passion is to use her journalism to write about science and parenting in a way that is accessible and entertaining. She combines this with a forensic understanding of neuroscience and neurobiology, which she believes is vital for all of us to know if we are to understand our children's behaviour - and our own behaviour too.
