That said, if you need a mouse for everything else, absolutely nothing else comes close!
Do you know what I love holding in my hands? No, not that. My woman! I love holding my woman in my hands. She fits in my hands perfectly. Oh how I love her... I say all of that to say, I love holding this mouse more! Holding this mouse is orgasmic. But seriously though, it has perfect ergonomics. It is slightly more upright than most mice, but nowhere near to vertical mice. Some people may love that, others may dislike it, and others may not care. Personally, I love it. There's a little bit of pinky-finger drag, but that's common in most mice.
It's made for bigger hands, so if your hands are very small, you may have difficulty holding it *is what I told her ;)*
Design and Build -
This thing is built beautifully, and the colour (matte grey) is nice. The soft touch material is comfortable, and doesn't collect/trap much dust. A simple wipe with the palm of your hand is enough to clean it off. The metal scroll wheels feel so much better than plastic ones. In fact, going back to a mouse with plastic wheels is like going back to your ex if you're still bitter with her (I won't recommend it).
Accessories -
It comes well packaged, and includes the pairing dongle, and a matching USB-C cable for charging. Thankfully, the charging port is to the front, so you can use the mouse while it's charging (looking at you Apple!).
Speaking of charging, this thing charges incredibly quickly. I mean, three hrs of usage only after a few mins of charging is out of this world!
Speaking of "out of this world", let's discussion functionality -
On its own, the MX Master 3 is superb. But with Logitech's software, this thing is godly! The functionality and customizablility is second to none. If you have a specific idea of how you'd like to use this mouse with your PC and suit of programs, then almost anything is possible. You can even customize different functions for different programs, as well as have universal settings for general use. And speaking of "godly"; that magscroll wheel is just that. They say you can scroll through 1000 lines of code in seconds, and that is no exaggeration. Scrolling normally puts you in ratchet mode (where you feel the "click", through every line), and with a quick swipe of the finger, it goes into "smooth scrolling", where it can literally scroll nonstop for about 10 to 12 seconds.
I have this mouse (along with the MX Keys) paired with my laptop and I can easily switch between my desktop and laptop, without any cords or extra dingles. Literally, dragging my mouse cursor over to the laptop screen is all I have to do. I can have entertainment on one screen, and productivity on another. I'm even able to transfer files between the two systems, by simply copying from one system, dragging the cursor over to the other system and pasting. It really is that simple, though I rarely have a need for such functionality. But, it's there if I want it.
PS - The knobs feel great and are positioned ideally for ergonomics.
The only things that you may need to take into consideration are 1) It's for right-handed people only. And 2) If you're accustomed to very light mice, it may take you a while to get accustomed the added weight.
How many remember the Logitech MX1000 wireless laser gaming mouse? Over 15-years ago Logitech came out with that mouse, captured my heart forever. Used it for 7-years until the lithium battery died for good. Then I bought my first "G" mouse, the G700, back when the mice still were remanescent of the MX1000, just with added features and performance. Then the mice went total futuristic and overkill, when the G502 and G9 series came out lol.
The Logitech MX Master 3 Advanced, is literally one of the best mice out there. It still amazes me to this day, just how many features that they can pack, into a small space. The weight feels about the same as the old MX1000 and G700, so if you've used those mice before, then you will be used to it. The Master series has actually been around for several years now, and this is the 3rd generation mouse.
Because of the weight, this mouse does not glide over my cloth Hcman mouse pad, as easily as my Razer Deathadder Elite wired gaming mouse. However, the mouse pad was designed to allow a mouse tracking sensor, to have 100% precision in every micro-inch of movement. Wireless mice will glide easier over a plastic based mouse pad, however, the mouse will probably be less precise if you use one. So stick with a micro-fiber cloth mouse pad if you can.
This is a 7-button mouse, and as expected, there are many functions. Left Click, Middle Click, Right Click, Vertical Scroll, Forward Click, Backward Click, Productivity Button, Horizontal Scroll. Scroll Mode button adjusts the scroll wheel mode, clicky or smooth. On the bottom of the mouse is the ON/OFF switch, as well as the Bluetooth mode selector, and of course, the DARK FIELD sensor, that can track on literally everything, including your ham sandwich.
I bought this, so I would have a quality wireless mouse, for my tablet computer. Because it can be programmed for more then just 1-device at a time, I can also use this with my notebook computer. Its important to note however, Logitech software only works on Windows or MAC, there is no software support for Android. This mouse works perfectly with an Android tablet however, using Android standard drivers and functionality, built into the OS.
As soon as I turned the mouse on, the #1 mode began flashing. I searched for Bluetooth devices on my tablet, and immediately the mouse was discovered, and paired quickly. Reception is excellent, the cursor moved almost as smoothly as my wired Razer Dethadder Elite gaming mouse. If your somebody who does photoshop, or Adobe Premiere for production and editing work, you will love this mouse, plenty of sensitivity to get the job done.
Browsing the internet performance is very good as well. Other then the standard vertical scroll wheel that all modern mice have these days, I found myself also enjoying, the horizontal scroll wheel, which allowed me to scroll the pages left/right. This makes browsing the internet on a tablet much easier, and quicker. If you've been using your touch screen before, this mouse is going to be quite the upgrade for you!
Gaming performance is very good for a mouse that isn't technically rated to be meant for gaming. Unless your a competitive gamer, trying to reach the top ranks in COD, Battlefied, Fortnite, PubG, you don't need no 144 hertz G9! These MX Master 3 mice have more precision then the MX1000 had, its plenty for gaming IMO, and I did not have any problems.
I also do photoshop and video editing, but not professionally, and I find this mouse very easy to use. The ergonomics of this mouse are top notch, best I've seen! I find this mouse very comfortable to use. The mouse clicks are fairly strong, which provides tactile feedback. And the forward and back buttons, are thankfully not mushy like previous models, also very tactile. If you don't like loud mice, you might want to stay away, tactile feedback, means there is gonna be click noise.
Logitech seems to only have this mouse in either Graphite, or Mid-Grey. It would be nice if they came out with an pure Black version, as well as a Blue, and premium Red version. But like I said, they are catering to production artists more with this mouse then gamers. Still, Logitech should offer more custom options, it would get them more sales IMO.
If you don't want your mouse to look like a space ship however, and your not a super competitive gamer, you can avoid the G502 and the G9, and just go with the MX Master 3. In my opinion, its a fully featured mouse, with excellent precise control from the Dark Field sensor, excellent customisability of buttons through the driver software, and excellent ergonomics. Very well made mouse, and I am going to have to give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars!

Software has worked well for teaching it the shortcuts and gestures.
Have bought 2 of these. One for work and one for home. Works with Mac as well.
I have an iMac 5K and Windows Laptop with 27" monitor. I was struggling (for space) with two KBs and two mice. So while looking for the solution, I found the perfect answer - the MX combo. I read about the duo. These are fairly expensive but they have significantly increased my productivity. I have connected to both systems via BlueTooth (we can use the dongles also). Now I can simply move my mouse across and seamlessly connect to Mac or Windows and the KB too connects across. The two behave like two bodies and one soul! I can copy/paste across two systems as diverse as Mac and Windows. I have a provision to connect to a third system. Having freed the clutter on the desk has made my life so much easy. The desk looks clean also and of course, there are no wires.
The KB is solid aluminium and does not feel cheap. To date, I was using plastic keyboards. While they are not bad, this KB takes me to a different realm. The keys are illuminated and activated by the hand motion sensor. The keys are low profile - so some who like mechanical keys and long travel keystrokes may not like this. I prefer this way.
The mouse is so easy on the hand and is possibly the best in business. It has programmable keys and I can have keys specific to Word, Excel, Photoshop, etc. The scrolling is smooth. There is normal vertical scrolling, superfast vertical scrolling. I have horizontal thumb scrolling and a tiny recessed button to save (below the thumb). I have read some negative feedback on the system switch button (1-2-3) at the mouse bottom and being inconvenient but let me assure you that if Logi Options software is installed, the flow from one desktop to another is just by moving the mouse. It can be further restricted by having to press the control key to prevent accidental movement to next desktop screen.
Finally, both the devices can be charged by a cable and it connects by USB-C port on the devices. I am told that a single charge is sufficient to last over two months. Let's see. I used to own the first MX Master Mouse and if it has one flaw it was the charging dock. Over time, the gold plated contacts wore off and the mouse became a paperweight. This has been corrected by a sturdier USB charging port.
In summary, I will highly recommend this, especially to those having multiple systems. But even if you have a single system, you cannot go wrong - except maybe your pockets will become shallower. For this, I am docking off one point for VFM. Since I do not play games (not that I am against gaming), I am unable to comment on that aspect.
p/s. I also purchased the desk mat that is seen in the pic. It enhances the desk and makes it look really good.

Connectivity
Since my motherboard has built-in Bluetooth, I am using this mode/option. Battery life when in Bluetooth mode is excellent. After two months of daily use the battery level dropped to 50% from fully charged. This is definitely much better than the battery life of my MX Revolution which I typically had to recharge every 2 weeks.
Software
The supplied software is ok. It seems lighter in footprint than the old software that I was using with the MX Revolution. It basically allows you to configure the mouse the way you want it to work. There are default settings for various Apps like Chrome, MS Office, etc. The mouse is fully configurable if the software you are using is not in the default list. For example, I was able to configure the thumb scroll to switch between tabs when using the Firefox browser.
Features
The main reason I got this mouse is because of the notch-less scroll wheel which has become my favorite feature ever since I tried it on my older Logitech mice. This feature can still be switched on and off (I prefer it at notch-less most of the time) and I love how I can scroll through pages with just the flick. The wheel appear to be both heavier and smoother than ever. It does have a new mag-wheel mechanism whereby when in notch mode, it automatically switches to free-wheel or notch-less mode whenever the wheel is flicked hard enough... Going back to notch mode as the wheel slows down. I still prefer notch-less all the time but this is a nice feature for those who might want it.
Ergonomics
This is where I think my older MX Revolution beats the new MX Master 3. The MX Master 3 borders on becoming a little too big whereas the MX Revolution in my opinion is sized just right. It also takes getting used to when reaching for the back and forward buttons with your thumb. Those buttons were more readily accessible on the MX Revolution. However, the thumb scroller on the MX Master 3 is much better and more accessible than the thumb wheel on the MX Revolution. Overall I have a slight preference to the MX Master 3 over the MX Revolution mainly because of the smoother scroll wheel and also the more usable thumb scroller.
Final words
This mouse would have been perfect if it were sized the same as my MX Revolution. However it is still an excellent mouse and I have no hesitation recommending it.
