Even though this book is number three on the series it can be read as a standalone.
On this occasion we find Shilpa being hired to give a cooking class on New Years in an Island to an uber rich, dysfunctional family. Of course after New Years Eve party there is a murder and she's trying to find who did it.
Everyone in this family has secrets and all of them could have been the killer, the story keeps you interested with all the little snippets and details given throughout the plot development.
As usual we are drawn to Shilpa and her friends and if you like cakes you'll want to eat her creations with the way that the author describes Shilpa's creations.

I enjoyed reading this sweet mystery story. This is still a newer author for me which I enjoy her writing style as well as her attention to details that bring the story to life. This is one of my favorites by this author yet. This is a well written story about a dead birthday girl. family secrets and a whole pile of suspects. This is a great story that has great growth throughout the story. I found the characters to be relateable and truly made the story for me. They kept the story engaging and hard to put down. The mystery had me questioning on who did it throughout and I couldn't wait to see if I was right. This is such a great story and I highly recommend it.

This story comes out December 12, 2022. The paperback is available November 28th of 2022. This story of a murder solver Shilpa Solanki. In this story Shilpa is already in the beginning of a griping scene of a body. But her partner play on a drama murder mystery, then Shilpa been invited to Dreamcatcher Island she was being offered a stay at one of its smaller properties on the island, The owner asked for Shilpa Solanki asked for her personally. It came with the condition to make an exquisite passion fruit and chocolate birthday cake & to run a baking lesson for the guests. The pay made Shilpa say, "Yes" to the owner and her friends and partner are allowed to come with her to the Rose Cottage on the island. This story is intriguing, interesting, and compelling to read. Great for New Year to cozy up with this novel.
