I love this mini v2 printer. Worked straight out of the box with initial instructions. I have tried a variety of filaments from different brands and works well on most with some adjustments to temperatures as as well different materials. Bang for buck in short,  the only shortcoming is the size of the prints which is understandable. If there was a big boy version of this printer for large prints, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I've owned this printer for about two years, now.

This printer has worked consistently well, all this time. It's far better than the Creality printer I bought (which was defective and I could never get fixed!).

Pros:

* Excellent printer for someone new to 3D printing
* The auto-leveling is great!
* Comes assembled and ready to go
* I have never had to do maintenance
* 50 micron layers (this is better than many other printers)
* Good print quality
* Works with standard PLA
* Interface is easy to use
* Solid design but light and easy to move

Cons:

* The print area is small
* The bed heating is slow and max. 60 C
* You sometimes need to watch your first layer to make sure it sticks (due to the bed)
* The model I have has no power button (I use the switch on a power strip or just unplug it)

The bed would be better if it were glass and could heat a little hotter. On the other hand, you might appreciate that it doesn't get dangerously hot.

The printer has a handle. It is small and easy to move around. The design is open, so you need to watch that small children keep their hands at a safe distance. It's still pretty safe, considering.

Great first printer

Fast shipping direct from Monoprice. Once I got the machine dialed in with the type of filament that I purchased, I can't stop making stuff. This machine does a great job printing things out. I would recommend this for a first time printer, but don't be fooled into thinking that any printer does not have a learning curve to it. Lot's of support by others online. But once you have the settings right, This machine will keep you smiling.

Great little worker!

Wow! This printer exceeded what I expected! For such a low price, and actually very fine detailed prints, I would say this printer is an absolute win! Not to mention how fast it can print, even at 50 microns. The only thing I wish it was was bigger, but the small print Ed still does not limit creativity. Great overall, five stars.

The best printer in its field

It seemed to work well. Not difficult to print existing designs. Seems to print very detailed.

Good

This printer can do surprisingly high quality prints, and is very easy to start using. However, the small build volume is more limiting that I had initially realized. I got this printer for my college dorm room since it required no assembly, is compact, and is even somewhat portable. It is very good for these criteria, but if you have the space, I would recommend something with a larger build volume

Small but impressive

Manufacturer depends on open source hacker community for product support. I have been unable to get USB or WiFI to send a print file to the printer. Serial port operation over USB works in a limited sense, you can manually type commands to for example do the homing routine G28 but if you send a file of GCode over it ignores it and then you can't use the port any more. I have a long and growing list of blocked attempts to do things that failed.  However bit.ly/MPMD101 was reasonably good and got me printing successfully using what we used to call sneaker net (copy files onto the factory microSD card, carry your card over to the printer and print from there).  There's a terrible app called Malyan Link that doesn't work for me (supposedly connects with WIFi but doesn't); somebody seems to have written  it in a day and didn't take any user feedback to improve it. The manufacturer recommended app named “MP Select WiFi Connect” is not available on the Apple App Store.

It was my first 3d printer and it taught me a lot about what to expect from cheap 3d printers. Mine had problems right out of the box with the head crashing into the build plate right off the bat. Got it working eventually and it worked well enough but I never got particularly high quality prints out of it. Now I have an anycubic predator and it's worlds better. Might use the predator to print upgrades for the mpmd

Cheap learning experience

Design flaw, printer power button pushed in on second use and i had to take the bottom cover off to be able to hold the power button from the back while i push the front. 
other than that printer seems ok but am having trouble using the cura software but this I am sure is just user error.

3d printer design flaw

Finicky machine, underpowered power supply and firmware is a dead end. Even with the Marlin upgrade it is far more trouble than it is worth. Even for the beginner the problems it introduces are problems that you will not have to deal with if you purchase a better printer.

It is a toy and an inconsistent one at that

Software does not work. I downloaded from micro card. I have a 2020 iMac. First print was spaghetti. Overall not pleased with the purchase. The app to be downloaded from the App Store is not available in this country. Why are there so many dead ends related to this product?
