I bought this in hopes of making my own caramel iced coffee as to replace all of the Dunkin and Starbucks trips we make as a family. Unfortunately this does not come out tasting nearly as good as Dunkin or Starbucks. The caramel flavor is just not the same. It’s not bad, just not what I was hoping for. I believe Starbucks sells their own caramel flavoring on Amazon, which I will try next. Otherwise, it’s back to the drive through for us!

Monin, as you may or may not know, is a well established but also organic syrup brand. Their syrups are used far and wide in stores and restaurants. If you’re looking for a quality syrup that you don’t have to worry too much about, Monin is the way to go.

As for the flavor? This is the only one I’ve tried, so I can only speak on it, but if the others are close or better? You can’t go wrong. The caramel is buttery and smooth and in the right context, you would think dairy was somehow involved, even though it wasn’t. Contrary to some caramel flavors and syrups, there’s more than just a cooked sugary flavor happening here.
