upgraded from a g640 and this thing is way faster than i thought it'd be. it has very little initial friction, so the moment you move the mouse it's moves on screen, as opposed to the g640 where you almost had to put in some motion for it to start moving. the main reason for the upgrade is because im in a humid environment now, and apparently artisan pads are made with that in mind, so im hoping it wont get muddy so quickly like the g640. the first day it was a very fast glide and i felt as if i had no real control, but in game it still felt like i could aim with it realitively easily. about 3 or 4 days later and i was feeling decently comfortable and after testing with the g640 underneath the hien i noticed it gave it more of spongey/soft feeling, which almost gives it the feeling of the pad slowing down. it probably didnt affect the glide at all, but since it's squishier feeling it gives the illusion of more control. will continue to try both by itself and with the g640 under it, but not even a week in and my aim has felt better than it has the past year honestly. the combination of a smooth, non muddy, glide and the feeling of being able to just aim without having to essentially fight the mouse pad to move the mouse has led to some consistency and an almost confident feeling while taking fights. once i stop trying to over compensate compared to the old pad and after this new pad breaks in completely, this will most likely be perfect.
if you want a fun, fast pad that feels like you can still control even though you'd think not, this is it. if the durability holds true and its humidity resistance helps with the muddiness over time ( i still expect it to slow down and get dirty eventually (dirt, dust, skin)), this will be the end game mouse pad.
