Mistaking the Cowboy was my first introduction to Mandi Blake's writing but it certainly won't be the last! Haley and Asher's story was a fun, enjoyable, sweet ride that started with a bang and never let go. :) These two were perfectly imperfect for each other, and I loved how they had so many things in common (creatives, songwriters, guitar players). I loved their chemistry and the "name that tune" game they had going on, but above it all, I loved their faith and how willing they were to wait on the Lord's timing. (OK, maybe Haley is not all that willing since she's working on patience, but then, aren't we all?). Lorana Hoopes did a fabulous job bringing all the characters to life, and I loved both the accents as well as knowing who was speaking thanks to the different voices she made. The last two chapters were the perfect, sweet, and satisfying ending, and I can't wait to catch up with the rest of the books in this series. ~5 stars
